you can combined astrid with a calendar for that function, pure calendar has scrolling and i know one other calendar does(with astrid support), i just can't remember which one ATM

The other one is Agenda Widget, it has a free version as well which is really functional and has a 4x4 widget, has astrid and gtask integration.

only issue i have with agenda widget is you cant have one widget for calendars and one for tasks, the calendars seems to be global.
If you have an HTC you can just use their widget.
(widgets -> get more HTC widgets -> tasks (notes sucks))
TaskIt (available at Lakeridge Software in beta form) has a 4x3 (with a 4x4 coming this week). It doesn't support scrolling the tasks, yet. But it will since I just found the code to implement this on ADW.Launcher, LauncherPro and Home++.

looking for a good cal widget. Love the htc sense one but im using launcher pro. so cant use it anymore, like the LP cal widget but a little big.
tried smooth calendar. its ok, but looking for other options
any other suggestions.

Pure Grid calendar widget
very customizable, size, tons of themes, and when you click it, it takes you too your google calender ect.. i use it.
its only like $2 in the market, make sure its the grid one, not just the one that says calender.
I was looking for one as well, dug through a few and finally settled on Agenda Widget.

I am using LauncherPro Plus calendar widget, otherwise Android Agenda Widget is the best for me
I tried a few this past weekend, also looking for a good free one. i ended up settling on CalWdiget. Fairly customizable & seems pretty solid so far.
just my personal preference/opinion..

The weekview is, for me, great. There are also numerous widgets with it, including fullscreen ones, other sized ones and (the one I use) a single button widget (showing date) which will take you to your preferred view (weekview for me).

I'm looking for a the best calendar widget, of the scrollable variety.
I'm coming from launcher pro and I LOVED the calendar widget so a widget like that would be awesome.
Either a standalone widget or calendar app with widget should be fine too..
Any opinions?
i prefer CalWidget (https://market.android.com/details?id=net.eggenstein.android.calwidget) as it's the most customizable calendar widget i found. unfortuntely it's not scrollable
PureGrid is my favorite. They have a transparent skin so all you see is a nice and clean calendar that's scrollable. Tons of different sized widgets available to pick from and lots of skins. Has built-in support for many task apps too. Its somewhere between $1-$2, well worth it IMO.

Thanks for the responses, I'll definitely give those a try.
Right now I'm trying out go launcher ex and the go widgets, and so far I'm liking what I'm seeing.
Search for Jorte on the market if you want lotsa goodies and free.
Jorte in my opinion. Many widget options

Hi, i switched from GoLauncher Ex to ICS and Nova launcher. I can't find contacs widget and calendar widget as they are in Golauncher.
I have tried People widget and Contacts widget from market, but first can't assign group, second can't direct dial.
I'm looking for launcher independent widget.
Calendar widget should act as in GoLauncher, should swap agenda, dat, month.
Which one you can suggest?

BeyondPod, Any.Do, Evernote on my off-screen. Just Simi Clock with time, weather and battery level on my main screen.
Audio Manager: Status of all the volume levels, and a nice interface to change them. Nice selection of themes if you get the paid version.
SwitchPro: Fully customizable toggle widgets. There are lots of similar toggles, but this is one of the best there is.
Touch Calendar: Need paid version to get widgets, but best calendar widget I could find, and I tried quite a few. You can display a whole month on the 4 x 4 widget and actually read the appointment descriptions.

I just picked up the M8 on VZW Weds night. I had the S4, but one feature I am missing is what I think was Samsung's calendar app. It was a 4x4 or 4x5 full calendar widget. I liked it because facebook syned up all my friends Bdays to it or other various events. With HTC calendar, it doesnt say anything on the calendar, have to click on the date. Is there anything comparable to Samsungs calendar widget? Just nice to see it actually written on the calendar and not have to click on a date.
I have been using APW for a few years, love the widget, you can change between calendar view and agenda view on the flyk, click on the title bar to open into calendar app. Worth a try.
Check out Event Flow Calendar Widget which is my personal favorite - love the weather forecast included in the widget. It's free with a $.99 in app purchase to fully unlock it. Or you could try Today Calendar. The $2.99 version includes all the widgets that are sold separately.

+1 on APW. There are quite a few themes available too if you want to customize and it comes with several other widgets.
APW is the best.

If you want an agenda widget that shows you daily appointments on your screen, the number of appointments shown depending on widget size, AGENDA WIDGET is the way to go. TONS of personalization features! Resize it, change font sizes, colors, what it looks like, etc,.......
