Launcher Pro on X10? - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

I've been searching the market, but I can't find Launcher Pro anywhere
I've also downloaded the beta .apk from the official site but my phone says that it's not compatible with this model. Is there anyway to get Launcher pro to work with my x10?
Also what are some advantages and disadvantages over ADW Launcher (which is what I am currently using.. and loving)? I just want to try out Launcher pro...
Thank you for your time

I use Launcher Pro and it has a number of advantages over ADW (which is a fine product).
However, as long as you have android 1.6 you will never be able to use launcher pro, as well as many other fine market products.
I suggest putting pressure on Rogers/Sony to upgrade to a higher level (2.2 - Froyo is out already.)

Thank you

Yes it works on stock 2.2 just fine. You pay for it through paypal, then will be given an activation key.
You can buy it through their site - Sorry I can't post a link apparently my account hasn't been verified.

Download the ordinary Launcher Pro and then go the the launcherpro site and purchase the Pro version (there is an option to use Paypal). You will be emailed a code that you enter into the Launcher Pro app on your phone which unlocks the Plus features.
I too can't link to the site, but a quick search or link from the Market or AppBrain takes you there.
thanks guys
trying it out
works great
just a pity it cant see htc sense widgets
then it would be perfect

there are no sense widgets outside HTC Sense (rosie).
But you'll find a few acceptable alternative widgets in the marked / within launcher pro plus
I thought the same when I first tried it but then noticed how the home screen rotates and customization is more extensive the dock can have custom icons also its much faster than HTC sense it can be set to go faster (between home apps etc...)and can have a bunch of screens.

[Q] Customise number of homescreen pages

Hi,
My 7.0 Plus has 5 homescreens, but I have 3 of these empty. Is there any way to delete these homescreens? Maybe through installation of a new launcher (I currently have the default one only)?
Any thoughts welcome! Google searching hasn't helped me yet...
3rd party launcher, yes, definetly.
Stock launcher ,no, probably never.
Thanks Chris. Can you recommend one which might do the job?
I use Launcher Pro, the best one out there imo

I was using Launcher Pro on my previous phone/tablets running GB, but found it pretty buggy and not fully supporting Honeycomb.
Switched to Launcher EX, free and superfully featured.

Look on Google for go launcher hd beta. It is specifically designed for tablets.
I use Go Launcher Ex (not Go Launcher HD beta) on my phone and my tablet. I've tried a few others but keep going back to it. Its VERY customizable and super smooth/responsive. I like the Transparency theme for it also.
I tried Go Launcher HD beta, ultimately switched back to Go Launcher Ex. I may switch back once Go Launcher HD is completed, because its still lacking some customization and is a little buggy.

Quick Dial widget "permission denied"

Hello! I cannot get the Quick Dial widget to work at all! It works if I use the stock launcher, but not when I use Nova Launcher. I'm running the latest version of Nova Launcher (5.0.2) on a rooted Huawei Mate 9. I can create the link/icon but when I try to click it, it says "permission denied." Is there any way to fix this? I would hate to have to switch back to the stock launcher because of this!

I'm going to repost this in the Nova Launcher thread, just to see if maybe someone there might know something.

Hi,
To circumvent this problem with the direct-call widget some people recommended Speeddial.apk. The free version only lets you create dial-contacts while the pro version also allows sms-contacts. But since SMS widgets already work (they use a different app to actually direct-text) the free version is sufficient. The only problem of Speeddial is its big storage requirements and the regular nagging to obtain the pro-version.
A much better alternative IMHO that is completely free is Quickdial.apk. This is widget-app is only limited to dialer-shortcuts but it only requires 384kB instead o/t +2MB of SpeedDial. Beware that some people might not like the look of QuickDial's widgets.

Oppo find X2 launcher

Can third-party launchers now be used on color OS 7.1
Oppo find X2
And does Android messages working group texting?
Here i am using Nova Launcher, seems to work perfectly
OPPO also blocks third-party Launcher, at least in the CN version. You can only deactivate the original launcher.
gestures no longer work

Me too. Only thing it doesn't allow from 3rd party - that I've noticed so far, is the Clone App feature

I installed nova launcher first and then used abd to uninstall com.oppo.launcher .
Nova launcher started, but the task button and gestures did not work.
How did you switch without problem?

Not sure how you'd do it without the oppo launcher being installed. I just made Nova Launcher the default when asked. Try App Management, Default Apps

Thank you for your reply, but sorry
My find x2 pro is probably the Chinese version.
On default app in app management, i can't show choice for system apps.
So I'm looking for other way to change it with adb etc.
Hey guys,
I had the CN x2, but the restrictions were too big and I sold it again. 1. I hope that there will be a root as soon as it falls below 1000 euros in Europe and is therefore affordable for more people. Had my search, because of Nova, found this and it went pretty well. Only important for the CN version

Did you ever manage to figure out how to get the task button to work?
Hello,
I contacted Oppo's support about third party launcher. They seems suprised it is not possible to use another one. They will look deeper in this issue as , for the moment, it is not possible to select another launcher as homescreen in default apps, for chinese rom.
I hope they will deploy a fix for it
Finally, Oppo's support just answered me that this feature is not supported by this device.
I am quite disappointed and think about selling this great phone in order to go to another brand ( maybe oneplus 8 pro )....

It's supported on non-CN models. Only CN locks out launcher switch. Same with the 5 autostart Apps.

Which feature is not supported?
you can't chnage the laucnher unless you adb the phone and uninstall it, and then the buttom gestures don't work.
