When I had HTC I just installed ROM's with a DFT (Dark Force Team) easy to run and install, can I have something like that for my Skyrocket? I don't know about kernals and that hard stuff to do .. even step by step I found that a little confusing and Im scared to brick something!!
There arent many roms available yet only this http://briefmobile.com/alien-rom-for-samsung-galaxy-s-ii-skyrocket-att which is alienrom and going to be the easiest for you too install withbout messing with kernels you said your rooted so you have cwm recovery correct? Put this on your sd card boot into cwm wipe data wipe.cache wipe.davikik cache 3 times each then install zip from sd card. Very simple

if reading and understanding what you are doing to your phone is too hard for you....you shouldnt be doing anything at all to it.... this is pure laziness and disregard for the technology you hold in your hand.

Your good intent aside, if you post your response with clear English then it may get a better response. I had trouble reading anything you said.
It only takes two seconds to use a spell checker and correct punctuation.
You might start with your signature.
With that said, I hate it when people don't say "thanks" when someone tries to help.
Ok, let's say something INTERESTING... I'm a advance user, I just was asking for a easy ROM install, if you don't have the answer or you are not polite... bye then.
Really, this forum is full of good people with good intentions... be part of them! Be polite, cool, good, and bring a smile always !

you say you are 'a advanced user' but you dont know what CWM is....you need to read up on the terminology used here.
you are likely to brick your device by not understanding what you are doing. this website isnt a 'make your device cool' site. its a learning tool for devs/hackers/enthusiasts to learn and share ideas and work. if you dont comprehend what you are doing, then you dont need to be hacking on your device.
Also xda can be entertainment i get alot of laughs reading some posts on here..... and that advances my good mood.

No, you can flash other ROMs. For flashing you don't have to be S-OFF...

I'm getting a T-Mobile HTC One S this week.
What's the best way to root?
Can I use this?

If I only want root and don't want to install ROMs, can I just do the 5 steps on the left and stop with that?

Its almost too easy. There was very little challenge here. So, if you like a challenge, then I suggest you ride in the back of a bus on a bumpy potholed road while pounding a fifth of scotch, have someone tie both arms behind your back and heck, blindfold you...
this was way too easy!!!!!!!!! No fair!
so to answer your question -- basically the Htc bootloader unlock thing is pretty neat. thats first step. Then you just take Obrien's superboot.bat and run it..
I am so freaking happy to be rid of all that CRAP from tmobile. I mean, T-Mall? wtf.
Thanks for this thread. I am just reserving this place for a work coming soon Just need to succeed in use the recovery xD
would be great if you added short descriptions of the ROMs.
like stable/unstable , with sense/without sense, stock ics, fast, experimental etc.

Where is the link to the AOKP?
If you start a thread trying to be a one stop shop starting with "ALL ROMS" in upper case you should try to keep it up to date and link to ALL ROMS.

Hey guys, complete newb here. Just got done reading tons of thread and about ready to flash but just wanted to clear some things up before i begin.
I was going to follow the instructions on
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1733097
and just flash after i install cmw, but then i looked around at some other roms and they all say I need ICS to flash.
I am currently on stock froyo and have only rooted with super one click i think.
Do i need to upgrade to some gingerbread rom first? Or can I go directly to ics?
Thanks!
Follow this guide it will get you to gingerbread and rooted. Then flash a antonx's kernel and you will be able to get AOKP.

I found the following site with links to the stock firmware for the E-Ceros One smartphone. Not too sure if it actually works though, too scared to mess up my phone. However if it is the correct rom then we could use this to start developing custom roms for this phone.:good:
The website is as follows:
http://chinagadgetsreviews.blogspot.com/2014/07/download-e-ceros-one-android-422-jelly.html
***UPDATE***
It would seem that the Ulefone and the E-Ceros one are the same other than the ram. Also this phone already has a kitkat update so might be a worthwhile start for developing a custom rom for this phone.
Still a noob so going to try start rom development and learn as I go.
***UPDATE***
See Post #100 for Kitkat rom for E-Ceros.
Yeah got this phone . Has anyone updated it to kit kat.
It can be easily rooted with vroot. So a recovery would be great too to flash a custom ROM if someone could put one together, it would be amazing !

I used MTKDroidTools to load clockworkmod recovery onto mine. Now busy extracting the stock rom and then I'm going to try develop kitkat for it. Hopefully I can get it right.
Very good and cwm loaded OK with that? How did you root? Your working on a ROM wish you all the best with it !

I used V-root to root, but this didnt satisfy MTKDroidTools, so I used the root function in MTKDroidTools to root it. CWM loads perfectly and works well. Can make backups etc without a hassle, only the CWM app doesn't recognise the device and so you need to tell it you manually loaded it. Thanks! Gonna need it, will be my first rom I'm working on so lets hope it goes well. Will probably just port the stock rom to someother already developed rom.
Thanks for that info and good luck

Haha yeah, although dunno if I did something wrong or if there's not much different cause I couldn't see any changes after installing it. Used one of those programs on the forums which helps you port roms. Or maybe I just installed it wrong Either way, looking more into it now. lol

Thanks to helloansuman from en.miui.com for his great guide. This will hopefully help me to port more roms. Anyways, lets hope the rom is polished.:good::good:

MIUI is ok, not my first choice of rom but it was the easiest. I'd rather have paranoid android rom or CM. But since it is my first rom port I'm feeling rather chuffed with myself. Now to try port something more serious.
