[32b & 32a - Test] *Official* CR_ Got Froyo Release

Android 2.2 (Froyo) on T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream) / MyTouch 3G (HTC Magic/Sapphire)
ChiefzReloaded & Enatefox have been working hard on they're T-Mobile MT3G and managed to get an Android 2.2 ( Froyo ) ROM running. Chief nolonger contains a working device so he has created a team of testers and devs to help further development of this rom
Here's some EARLY SDK screen shots until he has a release ready for public consumption after a working build of the official rom is released and possible to port.

It is just to tell us that FroYo does boot on our ancient phones and a ROM will be coming out.
Can someone tell me if 2.1 drivers can work for 2.2?

I know it will boot and be available on the G1. And it was just released a year and seven months ago.

I was wondering the same thing. I know that Google Apps are kinda imporoved, but I was thinking we could use 2.1 GApps on it till we get the real thing.

Right now CR has google apps from 2.1 running on his build (from what I've read on android spin) hopefully we'll get the 2.2 gapps but I'm sure if that doesn't work he'll include the 2.1 versions.
I also understand that google will be releasing the source very soon, so we should see stable builds much sooner than originally expected.

We are trying to wait till the source to come out but if it doesn't come soon i guess we will use the 2.1 Gapps

2.2 is just not suitable for everyday use with sense, I'll have to wait on that one.

You would need to use the MTD patch to make the system 170MB large, as well as flash a 32B kernel for Eclair. Even then you would have a lot of bugs, and I'm not even sure if it would boot.

This rom really is speed freak, but is it using 10 mb ram hack? when a game is started it becomes lagfest.
anyway great rom =)

Is this for new or old radio and what about battery life any feed backs ?
I currently have a 1.5 but I get 2 days without recharging.

this rom is based on original kernel
no 10mb ram hack
if u want to try it out, try out kernels and report there performance.
so that people can also use similar kernel.
i will try to check it out myself as well

battery life should be good atleast 1.5 days -> Approximate.

I have problems to synchronize my hotmail account with exchange!
After validate email, and tell him just to synchronize my email there's an error msg saying "Failed to create account. Try again"

thx for this ROM. I have just flashed it and so far everything is working as expected and I feel it is really fast.
I am very curious to see whether or not I will again have signal drops as I used to have with RCMagic or Smoki and other newer 6.35 roms. I don't hope so, otherwise I will have to go back to CM Froyo on the 3.22 radio...

the link you posted is for Incridible S 2.2.1 and not Desire S 2.3.3.
the funny thing is that i kept working on it for 2 hours before i realized it was not what described

What works: SMS messages, all widgets on the desktop (news, facebook, email,etc)
what does not work: browser, All widgets when you click on them to go to the application (all show disconnected letters for example try to click on the email widget to go to the email client and read an arabic email)

the files making arabization is genuine from htc for incredibe s andriod 2.2.1
then ported to desire hd so give the best arabization result
is there any genuine arabic htc sense andriod 2.3.3 for any htc device?

well..
for the browser to work we need to modify libwebcore.so
and since HTC hasn't released the source code for it's 2.3 ROM we can't do anything about it

There is problem on HTC mail , i can't send any email !!!!!
but acutely this Rom is so incredible.

I drink mt dew by the bucketloads also. Just flashed rom and setting it up. So far so good on my good old g1. Flashed fine and market updated after first download. Keep up the good work. This is lightweight compared to other froyo and gb roms.

It worked fine for me... if there was any newer version then it was one we didn't know about. in my tests everything works..

keyboard prediction.. didn't think about that... maybe try replacing latinime.apk with one from cm6? i installed a gingerbread keyboard because that's what I'm used to and it worked

Trying out now first flash from DRC92 build wow it flys.. Thx for time taken.

no this is the latest froyo aosp, which is 2.2.2.
This is the latest version. what error are you getting?
EDIT: i just flashed it and everything is fine, maybe your are doing something wrong?

Just a little info, when ICS comes out it will run smoother than Gingerbread. New ram management. How i know? Because I'm awesome. I'll post pics on a Xoom running 4.0 on Wed.

Hey guys, so recently I've been looking for resources and stuff and I found this rom called LeWa Os. It's similar to MIUI in terms of themes, customization, initial theme when you first flash it, but it's based on CM7 so it has CM features. I took the time to port it to our beloved Sensation and will do my best to fix out the remaining bugs... It's running on Android 2.3 and has awesome eyecandy + fluid performance ...
It's based on the only CM7 build that I can find for the sensation:

Instructions:
First time flashing CyanogenMod 7 to the HTC Sensation, or coming from another ROM?
Gain S-OFF and install the ClockworkMod Recovery. Instructions are available here.
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.
Format the system, data & cache partitions of your device.
Perform a factory reset.
Flash CyanogenMod.
Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.

Looks very interesting! I'm gonna do a little research on the OS first

if you have fixed some video call problems and audio call when on headphone...........then i will definately use this rom.............(notice that the bugs i mentioned are from cm7)

No I haven't worked on any of the bugs yet... But this is based on alpha 10 so I think they might be fixed: Taken from the CM forums:
The current buglist:
-Recording 1080p video for a couple minutes causes a soft reboot
-Misc Browser crashes (CM bug)
-Zoom issues in Camera
Other than those (relatively) minor bugs, this rom is perfect.

this is based on cm7, so I should install the GB firmware? 3.12...
what about language....are there chinese parts?
and...is this just for 4g sensations? I have an eur version...

Looks cool to bad you have to down grade firmware. Get this going on cm9 and I'll try it the reason I have my phone rooted is because I wanna use the newest stuff not outdated roms that are dead.

This roms just been released. However the base is old.

This ROM is very pleasent surprise...stick with CM7 not with CM9 because there are a lot of various cm9 editions of all flavoirs...what is needed is cm7 base ROMs.
I will give a try...for now, on Hyperdroid cm7...in the future, on Lewa certainly.

Good to have another Sensation chef in the kitchen!

Well after putting my mind to it, I finished my attempt at porting a CM7 rom to CM9 and now I'm scared to try it :/ (I'm a wimpy chef, I know )
So I think I'll just keep it at CM7 since no one has anymore of those roms anymore and it seems like gingerbread is more stable...
So for those who have ICS now, downgrade:

Alright so all of us have ICS, recovery, and s-off, so all we have to do is flash the first firmware in this post (1.17) and flash this ROM...
So on to the bugs. From my first port for the Atrix I had the following:
1. PC didn't detect phone on USB, only can charge from wall...
2. Boot animation, lock screen, and music player aren't scaled...
3. SD manager fcs... (It's a lame version of miui file manager)
1. It shouldn't do that on this ROM, but if it does I'll look into it and see if my friend can help me fix it like he helped on the Atrix...
2. So I'll work on scaling the the boot ani, and lock screen, and I'll just replace the music plaer...
3. Just remove it and replace with the actual miui file manager...
