I need to organize my life on my mega... so I have the need to check many times the calendar.
I've tried the ThrottleLauncher and I see that I can put a widget of the calendar, that I can use to check the all month (I can see witch days are used).
But I think TouchFLO runs faster than Throttle, so I prefer to use it. It would be superb to have a calendar on it (for instance if I can put it instead of internet tab).
Do you know any solution that can help me?
Thanks!
I see that no one have an answer to me...
So, what about a better calendar? Any one knows a way to change to another calendar?
The problem of this one that comes with WM is that when is showing the all month don't have the days with appointments to the all day (like birthdays) marked with any symbol, so I have to check them all.
Some help please...
I'am looking for too
Hi there,
I'm using ThumbCal application.
It's fully customizable and finger friendly.
Have a look at thumbapps.com
Good luck.

Would like to bump this as the finger unfriendly-ness of the default calendar is terrible. Anyone found some programs ?
Hi, I found thumbcal: http://www.thumbapps.com/pages/home.php?lang=DE
and pocketcm calendar: http://www.pocketcm.com/calendar.php,
none tested yet, very early versions.
ThumbCal is really nice...very fast and easy to use.
Thanks alot for answering so fast.
A question though, I do I make it my default Calendar ? Any ideas ?

In which sense? If You mean to put a link on a softkey, use keyswop. I've tested both programs, and preferred thumbcal. Consider that it is only a new user friendly interface for the wm calendar, not a standalone one.
Bye!
Thumbcal is very nice, but very very slow... 3 seconds for opening day and 5 seconds to get next month... Its absolutely unusable for me...
I think pocketinformant is the best.

Strange, not so bad on my Cruise... It opens new day immediately, and month in less than 1 second. Did You install it on the memcard? Me in the device mem.
Yeah strange. ThumbCal is really fast for me too. Opening the app takes 1-2 seconds, but if it's minimized in memory bringing it up is instantaenous. Scrolling from month to month and year to year is quick too. Like a previous poster said, it is just an interface on top of the Outlook Calendar and Tasks which is nice if you sync those.
Also I used the Advanced Config Tool to make it the left soft key on the Home Screen. Works nicely.

nstaled to device memory... I use Bepe ROM 0.67... Syncing with Exchange 2007... About 500 records in calendar... And its very very slow...
I'm on the stock ROM. Also I don't have that many records so maybe that's the issue.
Is the Outlook calendar app slow as well, or is it purely the ThumbCal interface? If it's a ThumbCal issue, you might want to ping the developer, the ThumbCal thread is in the Development and Hacking forum.

Oulook is fast. Slow is only ThumbCal interface... The same problem was with PocketCM calendar... But PocketCM Contacts are fast... I think problem is with many records in calendar...
There's a thread for the application:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=373971&page=47
Check it out there, see if it's a known issue. The only thing I've really noticed with the application is that the red box that surrounds the current day doesn't update if you leave the application open in the background for a couple of days. Then again I don't play around with the app too much. Good luck.
I think the more appointments you have the more lag you get. I scrolled to a month with no appointments: worked fine. As soon as I scrolled to a month with loads of appointments things started to get... really... slow...
I have read a lot about people who are looking for a solution to show more than 1 or sometimes 2 calender events under "the big clock" in TF3D home screen.
I have searched thrue whole xda but i couldn't find a solution for this except for using third party software....
Is there anybody who can tweak this or do a registry add. so that it will show all todays appointments and or upcoming app.
Sorry for my bad english, but i know that a lot of people also wants this so please help!

Think the only was is to disable TF

This might not really be what thou art looking for, but TodayAgenda should at least work on the today screen and there is a threat for how to use TodayAgenda with Raphael. You might contact the author of this freeware tool - may be he plans to re-design it for TF3D ...?
Eriol
it would be very nice if you can see your first appointment under the big clock, and when you scroll the clock away you will see all the next appointments that day....

Probably my first "mod"
Anyone?, anyone?, Bueller, Bueller.
There must be a reg setting under HTC somewhere that controls what events are displayed....I'm not that good with this kind of stuff, but I'm gonna try and search the reg and see if I see anything like this....If anyone else has any luck, please post your results....thanks
Thanks man!

I doubt there is anything to fix in the registry as this issue has been raised months ago and nobody has found anything (apart from suggesting third party applications or disabling TF3D). However someone mentioned in another thread that HTC will publish a firmware update in late december containing a fix for this issue. Considering HTC's record at fixing problems I will believe this only when I see it working on my phone!
Hi there,
I'm using Manila 2D and Easy Contact. Before, I was using iContact, and if I clicked on "All People" in the M2D-Tab, there comes up iContact. But with Easy Contact, there comes the normal Outlook-Contacts of WM... Any idea?
Thx,
MCXSC
Well, this isn't really an answer to your question (I think this is just a good time to throw it out there), but it would be nice if there was a way to set default programs, like on a PC.
Then problems like this might be non-existent.

Actually you can, using programs like SKTools, or I believe Schap's Advanced Configuration.
Try checking your settings in easy contact as i now use easy contact and it launches from all people and from contacts in my dialler it has fully replaced the old wm contacts
Hey guys!
i got a little question about contact managers. if already tried a couple managers (like icontact, pocketcm) but in none of them i was able to find a way to edit my contacts more fingerfriendly. as soon as i wanted to edit a contact (new number, email, whatever) or create a new one i always had to use the standard windows mobile interface which sucks in my eyes.
so my questions:
is there a manager thats has a better gui to edit contacts? if yes which one?
do icontact, pocketcm already provide that option and i just didnt saw ít?
please help me and give me advice how you manage this "problem"
i hope i posted in the right forum otherwise please move it to the right section.
thx
cya notarzt
Try O3Touch
http://www.o3touch.com/
I don't need the stylus at all with it.
Moved as not software release....

PocketCM does it. For new contact, edit contact, etc... the only thing that is still "windows mobile" is contact picture selection.
hey!
@stylez: thanks for moving. wasnt shure which section is correct.
@claus: thx ill try it and give a freedback
@tene: which version are you using? any specific theme plugin or whatever? because in my version it dosnt work.
edit: @tene: yeah youre right the version i installed couple minutes ago offers that option but i got all sorts of problems with the themes of it and with the keyboard on my 6.5 rom. maybe ill have to try a different keyboard and check whether that will help. or maybe it does not work properly on wm6.5
@claus: well the function is good but the view is a little ugly...
Hi guys,
Sorry if this has been asked and is a really obvious answer, but I've used the search function and I can find things saying "Yeah, great idea", but nothing that has actually been done to download and installed.
I've got an HTC HD2/Leo and I'm looking for a Facebook tab for the Sense/Manila 2.5 interface. A friend of mine said there is a mod available, but I just can't find it anywhere!
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks
never heard of it, but it sure will be nice to have it
only twitter tab
Never seen such a tab and dont know how effective it would really be..

I think it would be awesomely effective. I don't use twitter but I can totally see the benefit of the tab. I'd like to check my friends' updates like I check my text messages. The integration with my contacts is excellent, but I'm left craving more interaction. I'm still a little surprised that this hasn't been implemented before now by the OEM directly.
Anyway, add my +1 to this request. Snoogans.
I must confirm, that the first HD2 divice I had, really integrated FB in manila tabs. The second which I bought from T-mobile (after sending the first back as the second was better "deal"), unfortunatelly did not. Nor have any WM upgrade such tab involved since then. So I am also wandering if it would be possible to find it at least officially. And as e.g. the TV can be integrated in Manila (which is result of XDA inventions, I think it must be possible to solve the problem otherwise as well.
Thanks for help too.
