Wideawake's Custom AKU2.2

First I should warn that PPCGeeks.com nor me will not be held responsible if something were to go wrong. That being said its like any other update.....all you have to do is download the files from a link listed below. Extract them to the desktop open the the folder. Read the readme and run the .exe, same as the offical ones, BUT your PPC HAS TO BE IN BOOTLOADER MODE BEFORE running the .exe. (Hold power button, notes key, and soft reset) This ROM doesnt have to many "seen" differences, most changes have be made behind the scenes. I didnt remove the built-in voice dialer, because Im sure most dont use MSVC. Big thanks to isamu49 for his script to replace the bootscreen and providing me with all the carrier logos! Major thanks to XDA-Developers, and Buzzdev.net for the knowlege and tools used in the creation of this custom AKU 2.2! PLEASE HARD RESET AFTER YOU UPGRADE. I will be adding my extROM and full packages later today, just wanted to roll out the base OS for everyone.

- Sprint Users who download the custom with the extended will have PRL 20225 but you will have to manually run PPST.exe after customization is done.

Advanced Users ROM
This ROM is for advanced users only! Comes with extROM unhide, NOT unlocked and a blank extROM. Loaded with NO files. I will post a verison with the apache unlock tool in it later, just ran out of time. Has Alltel bootscreen but you can change that with the tools posted in the splash screen thread. If I have time later today I will post the updated advanced version with all logos and the unlock tool by buzz.

Note: The installers I made, werent formatted right, so its gonna ask u were to extract. (Except for the Sprint and Alltel Upgrades) Once the files have been extracted run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe with all the files in the same folder. I will try and fix the installers ASAP and reupload.

osKitchen (aka fe~ROM kitchen)
Hello ladies,
I’m too lazy to do many things manually so I build a new kitchen for us. I must thank to TPC for using his .bat (hardcoded into kitchen) and ervius for idea.
It is much simplier than Erviuse’s kitchen. I use external tools from TPC’s kitchen so if crashes any of these tools, it’s not my fault, I just cooked with it and flashed and it works fine if you don’t create crash fault manually. I’ve been writing this first release few hours and it has about 1000 lines of code lol.
Save & Load works as expected, saves everything (you shouldn't modify saved file by yourself).
If you don't know what something does in "More tweaks" menu, just don't touch it and leave it as was default!
What you need: patience and .NET Framework 3.5.

Tree structure:
I wanted to have main kitchen root as clean as possible so I moved all things to Source directory.
- In Source directory, there is few folders. The ones starting with _ you don’t have to pay attention on them, or better, don’t touch them at all unless you know what you are doing!
- In folder EXT are four folders: Apps, Fixes, Settings and SYSpkgs. What’s the difference between them? Actually none. In all of them you put EXT packages as you’re used from TPC’s kitchen (app.dat, app.reg and files folder). The only difference is that they show themselves in different tabs in kitchen so you don’t mess different settings with applications etc.
- In folder MSXIPKernel always create numbered folder with XIP version, like 23009 and copy all folders and files from MSXIPKernel you get (busenum.dll etc).
- Into OEM you put your OEM folder with folders like OEM_Drivers
- ROM folder you don’t have to touch on it unless you know what you’re doing – it’s already preset by TPC’s kitchen.
- And into SYS you put, just like in MSXIPKernel folder, numbered folder with build # and inside you place all SYS packages (Base, ConfettiCore, etc)
In the main root are also folders Projects that you can save your projects into, Tools which contains all tools needed to cook so don’t touch it too. Folder „build“ should remove itself after finished cooking. If it doesn’t (like crash etc) you can delete it manually. In FLASH folder (that creates only after cooking) should be only CustomKaisRUU.exe and RUU_Signed.nbh, or you can delete it too – RUU is copied from Source directory and NBH is cooked.
There also might be some other folders, "working" directory is for extracting NBH file (you can delete it if is not kitchen running) or Kitchen folder (new since 1.0.7) - it contains support things to kitchen like tutorials, icons and other material. You shouldn't touch it too.

Q: What’s the difference in Device between Kaiser and Tilt?
A: When selected Tilt, keyboard patch is automatically added.
Q: LZX or XPR?
A: LZX saves space, but takes longer to build.
Q: UPX on EXT?
A: Saves space by compressing all EXE files in EXT directory with UPX compression.
Q: SuperRAM?
A: Only switches between nk.exe’s with 79M/85M/101M (and automatically adds MEMFIX).
TIP: You don’t have to manually change always in OEM\OEMVERSION that one .provxml, if you fill it in kitchen it gets created automatically.

Runs ok, I tried to change EXT folders name, and it didnt like it. I prefer to have my own folder names, so that I know what I have in them!
In vista, it keeps poping up should kitchen run imgfs files! It doesnt do that in ervius for joshs kitchen in vista. So I am thinking there is a security thing maybe!?
All in all, good work, I always love GUI stuff!

This kitchen doesn't want to be like Erviuse's one - I want to make this directly for Kaiser and integrate different predefined tweaks etc. Only get them together will take some time.

I've been working on some new features and I thought "Hey, I might integrate few tweaks I use".
What about this? More comming.
Also I was thinking of easy "buttons" changer (hold voice button/press voice button etc).
PS: I know that it doesn't support resizing/maximizing window, I will disable both of it.

Installation Guide
FIRST OF ALL: BACKUP ALL OF YOUR DATA AND FILES, YOU CAN USE A NICE PROGRAM CALLED SPRITE BACKUP

ALSO I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR DEVICE BY FLASHING THIS ROM
FOR RESTORING TO THE ORIGINAL FIRMWARE LOOK DOWN AT THE RESTORING PART
Requirements:
- The RAR file

- A Windows XP Machine (I tried it on Windows 7 but it didn't worked for me)
Installation:
- Extract the downloaded RAR file (there will be 3 maps)
- Go the the BIN Files map and choose one of the maps containing .bin files
(I think 28004 is the latest).
- Grap the .bin file you want and copy it into the ROM folder.
- Copy or Cut the ROM folder to the root of your HardDisk (C:/ROM)
- Copy the Home Patch.cab (English Patch.cab to your SD Card (on the root (SDCARD:/Home Patch.cab)
- Install the 2 Drivers in the folder DRIVERS
(there is a change that you get a warning for installing the drivers, just continue)
- Turn of your phone and plug-in the USB cable
- Now turn on your phone while pressing also the green call button
(Power + Call)
- Now you're in the Bootloader Mode (when you get a message on your pc
for installing the drivers click on NO (so don't use Windows update) and let
it search for the drivers. It will find one of the drivers in the DRIVER folder
you just downloaded and install it again.
- Then go to the ROM map (C:/ROM) and run the PDAFLASH_ActiveSyncTotal(1016).exe
- Then it will automatically download the new WM 6.5 ROM to your C6625
- When it's finished it automatically reboots
- When the startup progress is ready you will see the TouchWiz interface and it's all Chinese
- Just don't click on anything and wait for 2-3 minutes (when it doesn't restart automatically
and you noticed that the D-Pad buttons aren't working just hold on the Power button
and it will automatically restart
- When starting up you see a Vodafone logo (this doesn't mean there's a
simlock, maybe we can change it later)
- When the startup progress is ready: press the left softkey 2 times (start)
- And then choose the File Explorer icon (you'll see after the startup its Resco Explorer 2007)
- Go to the Windows folder and press and hold the right D-Pad button to scroll faster
and search for fexplorer.exe and launch it
- Now hold the HOME button (the house button under the left softkey) so the
Task Manager opens and stop the Resco Explorer 2007
- Now in the Task Manager click on the normal File Explorer icon to open it
- Go to the SD Card and install the Home Patch.cab (English Patch.cab), when it's fully installed press the
left softkey to reboot
- After this you will notice everything is English! (You can change your location in:
Setting --> Regional Settings
- Register Resco Explorer 2007 yourself

In the Text Field:
- Press the SYM button to change to ENG
- Press and hold the SPACE BAR to activate the symbols
- Press and hold S (*) for the T9 (it's menu number 4) or without
AutoText number 5)

Known problems
- Some parts of the UI are still Chinese (Maybe you can edit the Register,
let us know)
- There may be some problem with the 3G Network but i think that's only in
China. I don't have any problems (I'm from the Netherlands, Provider:
Telfort).
- You have to manually put in the GPRS settings for the Provider Internet

Flashing Instructions
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR DEVICE BY FLASHING THIS ROM
highly recommended to charge your cell phone at least 90% to prevent failure during flashing process...
Inside the firmware archive there are 2 folder, PDA and Phone.
First flashing the PDA.
entered into the PDA folder and run PDAFLASH_ActiveSyncTotal (1016).exe
click the Download button and plug the data cable to mobile phone
in cell phone get into boot loader (turn off phone and turn on again with the hold on call button)
wait until the Flashing PDA completed Mobile phone will restart.
let the phone configuration and automatic restart.
after phone restart for the second time we can go straight to step two ..
because in this section Phone firmware still in C6625XXIG5 version
The second part is Flashing Phone
Go to the folder Phone and run FlashTool_E2.exe
Click the Browse for File button and select the file MultiBinaty.fls
Click the File button and select USB Map Wizard
Click next on USB Map Wizard Dialog
in cell phone get into the boot loader
wait until FlashTool_E2 detecting Connection
after FlashTool_E2 detecting Connection click Done button
In the options Communication drivers select Infineon USB Driver
Click the start button then download dialog will show
Click the Start USB 1 button
in cell phone get into the boot loader
if FlashTool_E2 detecting connection, the flashing process will begin.
Once completed, the phone will go into flashing the PDA Menu.
Unplug the data cable, remove the battery and put it back. Then turn on the mobile phone
Done ..
If the mobile phone can't booting to the Windows Mobile, try sollution from Thekn:

Feedback:
- After flashing the PDA everything looks fine, after that it starts the configuration (for me it configured my Locale in Regional Settings to Netherlands and it also changed the Today Plugin to Windows Default) and reboots. After the startup a message appears that it couldn't recognize the today plugin (non of the Today Plugins). So i changed my Locale in the Regional Settings to English (United Kingdom) and i rebooted my device. After that everything was working perfect, it launched the Remora Titanium without any warnings so i think the Today Plugin doesn't support other languages than 0409 and 0809 (It still doesn't recognize the Windows Default Plugin). Maybe you can change the Configuration to startup in English language only or maybe you can change the Today-Plugin to work with any language? The dutch language is working perfect for me except for the Today Screen and some warning!
- After Flashing the Phone you must remove your cable and remove your battery, put in your battery and press the power and the UPPER D-Pad for formatting. Otherwise you'll get a Device icon with a note!
- The first time you start marketplace it will direct you to a site where you must download the Marketplace .cab. You can't select the here text/link. I've done it with Opera, that works fine!
- In the Internet Explorer you can change your network in: Menu -> Tools -> Options -> Connections when you can not load a page!
- The Windows Live Titanium Panel is not showing correct: It's showing no icon and the first tab doesn't show the text correct!

thank you for your feedback, and I'll fixing the bug on BETA2 Release.
I removing some Locale in Regional for reduced the size of ROM, but if that cause the today plugin crash, I'll put it back the the other regional to the ROM.
About the weather plugin? Ok, I'll try to add more plugin to Titanium panel.
Sorry I forgot to include Marketplace bootstrap on the ROM.

For the first step (Flashing PDA), are you can boot into windows mobile?
maybe you try repeat the first step to flash PDA again, and go to second step..

Did you get an device icon with a mark?
- Remove the battery
- Put it in again
- Hold the power button and the UPPER D-Pad button
- Format, password: 0000
After that everything will be fine!

about call recording, you will see a record button when you receive or make a call. its at menu pop up when connected.
you should know about how to record incoming and outgoing call. when you connected,you must activate the speaker phone too, to record your call progress.
about my rom its only for omnia pro. don't ever to flash it with any device.
haven't any bugs yet since i flash 2 days ago, only one problem keymap on office mobile 2010, but it can solved with some trick.

ROM Updating doubts
'm using windows 7, is this is not really good for updating this ROM ?????
Actually what problems are with W7!!!!!!!!
When my bricked motherboard before on this device, that time i used this same OS but i installed ROM again on my device with this same OS.....
When i installed one ROM, does not need to select CSC file on that flashing tool, actually what the problems are with that CSC file!!!
This file is using for which purposes!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need some reliable informations for updating my device.....
