Hi guys, I'm looking for some help in removing the battery icon from the taskbar in 2.1 AOSP. I am asking for the GSM Hero and have tried in our forums but no one seems to know, but I know that JsChiSurf has been able to do this for the CDMA Hero, so am wondering if he or someone here can help?
It would be pretty much this mod 'Remove Battery from white AOSP taskbar' - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=691250
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a question that some one here might be able to answer. as we all know that haver been many different 6.5 roms made. a lot of them with different features. but one feature that always seems to be the same is slider and icons. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get the transparent slider and Blue icons from the genesis energy rom. i think they look way better. I would really appreciate it
Hi all, I am a recent WM runaway, but there are some nice apps that I would like to have on my Android phone.
So, I was searching, but wasn't able to find is there any battery meter that would display a tiny slim bar just below the upper edge of the display (similar to WM app Batti or WMMiniBattery)?
Thanks in advance,
cheers
I think it's not possible with regular android
try the miui roms, they have the option to do that
Thanks, will do as soon as I get my hands on the phone...
edit: can you please explain "not possible with regular android"?
Do you mean "not rooted"?
By now I thought nobody cared to make such app, but reading your post, I get under impression that it's not possible at all (with regular android?).
I have to admit it is hard to believe that such a little and simple app is not possible to operate on Android...
On the other hand - batti was (is) quite popular, so it was kind of strange I couldn't find similar app for android by now...
Thanks anyway
I don't understand exactly what the app did. If you were to post a link to the app or screenshots I might be able to help you find what your looking for on android.

hi elracing21,
please note the slim bar at the very top of the "screen" - the strap is full from left to right when full, and is smaller and smaller as the battery drain. At 10%, the strap becomes red...

p.s. - I still can't believe there is no such app 4 android. Thanks in advance for your help
So I was over a friends house putting the Cyanogenmod7 ROM on my HTC Incredible. I saw he had a Thunderbolt running BAMF Remix 1.8 and couldn't help but notice his Battery icon on the status bar was awesome. Soo after looking through the forums on XDA and Google, i've come to see if there is anyone who either knows of a way to get that custom accurate battery on my phone running Cyanogenmod7. All tip and help appreciated. Thank you.
Looks like the standard circle battery, pretty sure you can do this with the UOT kitchen. It's also present on certain CM7 themes.
Thanks man for the timely response.. I'll check out UOT Kitchen. I also sent a message to the developer of BAMF.. So if I get a response i'll be sure to post an update incase anyone else was wondering what I am.
Actually, if you look down further in this forum, there's a thread by mattyg and userjf that has all sorts of battery mods. I checked and there's a few circle battery mods.
Yeah, I checked out the post by Mattyg & Userjf. The battery mod is similar to that of the one on UOT Kitchen.. Again thanks for the good find. I have spoke with the developer of BAMF and he's going to be working with the Cyanbread theme for Cyanogenmod7 to integrate the custom accurate battery mod from BAMF Remix 1.8 to it. I just happen to find that battery mod to be the best one I have seen imho.
Nice. I just thought it looked similar, not really sure on the functionality since I haven't tried any battery mods personally.
I am all about things being uniform (OCD, I know), I am trying to figure out the color code for the stock battery, signal, and 4G icons. I have a problem with the orange glow and what not, I know its little stuff, but other than that I love the stock rom. I am wanting to change it all in the UOT kitchen so that everything is uniform. Does anyone know the correct color code for the green that is used? Any help would be appreciated.
