Froyo Keyboards - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

I searched for Froyo keyboards with no luck. Multi Touch doesnt work and neither does Swype
I'm thrilled with Froyo but really really really miss my keyboards...are there any APK's out there that will work with Froyo yet?

Swype works fine for me using Ava's new sense 2.2 build

Swype
I used the swipe from desire forum for my 2.2 and it works great.

What version of Swype were you using? Were you able to get Multi Touch to work?

Stock froyo keyboard on HTC 2.2 update

How do I install the stock keyboard from froyo on the new update? I can't seem to get sense to force quit and clear defaults. It just automatically reloads.
I'm having the same problem I frickin can't get sense to quit.
are you trying to install the stock 2.1 keyboard on 2.2, cuz i havent seen a 2.2 keyboard apk around here, unless i missed it
I was wondering the exact same thing...the stock 2.2 keyboard without sense is much better than the sense keyboard

Request: Stock 2.2 Keyboard

So I played with the multi-touch keyboard and think it's awesome. But I hate, hate, hate the fact that it's white.
Is there a themed version of this keyboard that looks like stock? Or, is there a signed zip of the stock keyboard?
When I try to reinstall the stock keyboard it force-closes. I think it's because the zip I flashed the the multi-touch one messed with the settings (com.android.somethingoranother)
Oh, and by stock I mean Vanilla 2.2 - not sense.
vanilla 2.2 HTC OTA compatible keyboard has already been posted in this forum. I have it on my phone. I could search for it right now, but so can U . . .

[Q] How to update Swype Keyboard

I am getting to really like using the Swype keyboard but would also like to use the voice-to-text feature.
My Swype keyboard is version 1.57.32.7688
My wife's Samsung Epic has Swype keyboard version 1.61.37.8224 and she has the voice-to-text integrated into her keyboard.
How can I upgrade my keyboard to the most current version?
You can't update Swype since it's built into the OS but Froyo will have a newer version of Swype which, keeping my finger crossed, will be released within a month.
Or you could try the leaked version but I've found the voice input to be spotty at best.

Best free keyboard?

I was super happy with Better Keyboard on my Galaxy S but one day it automatically updated to a new version and now it will only work if I buy it. If I knew this was going to happen I would have never updated it. I even tried looking for the older version online but I could not find it.
So I was wondering what is the best FREE keyboard alternative out there? I don't use swipe but I do need the keyboard to be able to use accents (like ç, á, ô and so forth). Any suggestions?
I use thickbuttons its free..
i use gingerbread keyboard. Very good keyboard, highly customizable!
I've read that the only thing that doesn't work after the Swiftkey trial ends is the prediction? Is this right? If so I'm going to stick with it. I've just downloaded the trial and it's really great.

Swiftkey stops working after 30 days. They're sticklers about that.
If you like typing, I suggest the Gingerbread keyboard or the HTC IME that you can download from the nexus forums.
Swype is also available online. Google it.
hy. I use the HTC ime mod. today i try the swiftkey free, and the prediction of this keyboard are fantastic!
but htc ime have a key for the emotic, and use special char is easier.
there isn't a keyboard with the layeault of htc ime mod and prediction of swiftkey right?
Gingerbread keyboard is really nice.
I had Swype installed by default on my Defy and it was the first thing I installed when I got my Nexus S. I love it.

i been trying to get the gingerbread keyboard to work with all the custom ROMs. none of them have. only one it ever worked with was when i used it on the stock ROM.
Gingerbread keyboard works fine for me on BAMF 2.0.
