Show off your custom launcher icons! - Droid Incredible Themes and Apps

Hi everyone -- With the popularity of LauncherPro, I've been pretty shocked at how difficult it is to find good icons for the launcher. For those of you customizing the launcher icons, how about you post your pics?
If you pulled your icons from a particular set, post a link or tell others where to find them.
I'm using a set that I think is nice and sleek (link below), but I love swapping them out once in a while.

Let's see what you got!

What battery app are u using? ... And how did you customize the launcher buttons to look that way?

Launcher = LauncherPro
Battery = Battery Left widget
Both are available in the market for free.
Launcher Pro allows you to choose custom icons and have up to 3 docks that you can slide through.

sweet. thanks. i'm trying 2 customize launcherpro now. does that battery app/widget take up much of your battery power? i'm using the simple battery widget now

Sorry for another simple question ... but I don't see an option in the preferences to make the dock icons have the circles around them. I'm also wondering what it is in your notification bar that is the colored circle

The icons are from the set linked in the original post. Put them on a folder on your SD card, then you can pick them as a "custom icon" when you assign the links on the LauncherPro bar.
The battery widget hasn't seemed to drain my battery any more than normal.
The round battery at the top is a custom battery I installed by modifying the "framework-res.apk" file. You can find a lot of info about modifying that file in other threads on this forum.

Is it possible to change the dock bar in ADW?

I relise this is a question but it is very theme related.
I think so. Can you give more information on what you want it to do or look like?

Lol I didnt want to explain it like this because I dont want to offend the developer at all. Basicly with launcher pro (another great launcher not as good as ADW in my mind but another great launcher none the less) you can actually load your own created dock bars or dock bars someone else created. So basicly can you cusomize the lower dock bar? I know you can change it from 5 icons to 3 icons but other then that can you actually change the dock bar background?
Sorry I dont exactly know how else to explain it.
i think the best you can do is hold down the app drawer button for a few seconds and then swipe up. it'll change to an OSX style launcher bar with mini icons of whatever shortcuts you place on it. took me forever to figure it out after seeing it in the screenshots.

You can set up swipe up and down guestures too. Yeah I know about this bar I actually store my quick contacts down under there.
He's talking about the separate dock background, not the actual dock.So you have a wallpaper, and then a separate small dock wallpaper too.

I am talking about the Dock the clear bar at the bottom of the screen that holds 3 to 5 icons. Not the hidden dock underneath the dock or just the clear bar.

when i do this my dock just disappears! why? how do i get it back besides rebooting my droidx?
ADW vs. LauncherPro..... um.... keeps me up at night.
I like both devs... I like the fact ADW is open source and has themes, and sometimes I feel like using the sideways drawer. But LP has great customization options like the dock theming, and now has some really well done widgets.
Nice to have a hard time choosing between two great choices.

Set something to change it. It is possible to access it, and not have anything set to turn it off.
In the settings for ADW you can either have it close after opening an item from it, or set one of the swipe gestures to bring it up and down.

You sir just blew my mind.
Sent from me to you via the interwebs.
I actually have the opening and closing of the second dock tied to my home button. I love it. To any of you that don't know how to open the second dock, you long press the regular dock and swipe up.you'll see little up arrows when you long press pointing in the direction you should swipe. When you do that and you think it's just hiding your dock, it's not. Drag an icon that area and see what happens.

I never knew about the second dockbar in ADW. This changes almost everything layout wise for me. Also, I found a great setting under ADW. Auto close dockbar after application launch, will bring your original bar up after application launch. Pretty cool tip guys thanks alot!

I never knew about the 2nd hidden dock bar either. Sweet! That has really helped to clean up my homescreens, getting rid of most of the clutter.
Something I'm still trying to figure out on ADW though... is it possible to change the actual dock? Not the dock icons, but the dock itself. Launcher pro has a page with tons of user submitted docks you can use, was just curious if i could do this with ADW. I'm thinking there has to be a way, because I've installed some ADW themes from the market and they actually changed the dock as well... just need to figure out how without having to install a theme.
I'm also looking for a way to change the dock bar background. A work-around you can do is just apply a bar to the bottom of your wallpaper. However, this only works if you want a dockbar that is the same all the way across.
i thought i already replied to this thread. there is a complete guide on customizing the adw dock bar in the link below.

This doesn't tell you how to change the dock background; probably because you can't without a using a theme.
It is possible to change the dockbar background without changing themes...but it's not nearly as trivial as with Launcher Pro and I believe your phone must be rooted. I have succesfully used Ninjamorph to dynamically swap out the drawable resources in the ADWLauncher apk file which make-up the dock background. Unlike LauncherPro, which uses a single image as a background, the ADWLauncher background is made up of multiple images corresponding to the right, middle, and left action buttons (in both their selected and unselected forms). I was able to replicate one of my preferred LauncherPro docks by using photoshop to slice the image into its right, middle, and left components, and then injecting those images into the apk file with Ninjamorph. The end result was a dockbar identical to the LauncherPro dockbar...but it was quite a bit of effort to get there. Not very practical if you like to frequently switch your dock (though once you've broken the dock down into it's components, it's not too bad switching between them). Theoretically, it would also be possible to change the background for the hidden alternate dockbar using this approach, though I"ve not attempted this.
I too would love to see an easier way to customize the ADW Launcher dock without applying a completely new theme or resorting to using Ninjamorph. After the recent releases of ADW, that's the one remaining thing from LauncherPro that I really miss when I use ADWLauncher. Maybe that's a feature which will show up in the new "EX" version soon.
you can always just unpack the adw apk and change the png then repack/sign and push it to your phone

The Beginner's Guide to ADW

I've been seeing a lot of threads (not only here) about ADW and ADW EX, the different settings, how to do certain things, etc. I don't think Ander ever wrote up a documentation so here's my little guide.
Anyone that would like to add anything, PM me and I'll add it in.
Little overview of ADW
ADW (EX) is a home launcher replacement. What does that mean? Well the home launcher, usually just called launcher, is pretty much the main way to get around on your Android device. It's the first thing you see when you turn your device on and it is what all of your apps, folders, and widgets are displayed on. To relate it to something everyone knows just think of your Windows/ OS X desktop. You know the thing you probably stare at saying "What did I want to do?!" and is a cluttered mess of icons? Yeah that's your desktop. The launcher on your device is essentially the same thing.
Quick rundown of the settings
When you first open the settings menu, you will see a list of 9 options. The top 4 are the ones you will be tweaking and constantly going into.
Presets - Profiles of settings that are preloaded into ADW. You can also create your own. Presets are just quick and easy ways to switch different things like icon size, dock type, workspace size, etc. These are only settings, NOT layouts.
UI Settings - The foundation of your launcher. From here you will edit things like Icon size, icon backgrounds, Dock type, the amount of rows and columns your workspace has, the App Drawer, and ADW's Hidden Dockbar. These are the real customization settings.
General Behavior - Name says it all. Screen transition effects, gesture controls, and the way ADW interacts with your device's hardware is all found here.
Theme Preferences - Again, pretty self explanatory. From here you choose what custom ADW theme you want on certain things. You can set 1 theme to cover everything, or use separate themes for icons, the dock background, and the hidden dock.
Backup and Restore - Backs up and restores your settings and icon layout. This does not work with widgets (I believe)
Tips and Tricks
Resizing
To resize a widget, you simply long press a widget until the little pop up menu appears and then click "Edit." The resize feature let's you resize in 4 different diretions (up, down, left, right), kind of like in a Word document. I find this to be a lot better than LauncherPro's because LP forces you to resize diagonally. To have some widgets overlapping, go to ADWSettings > UI Settings > Screen and click the Overlapping Widgets option. After that you can now overlap any widget over another widget or icon. Just remember that if you want a certain widget/icon to be BELOW another widget, the item you want below has to be placed on the screen first. If not, then it won't work.

[ICONS] Spearoid Game, Dock, and Misc. Icons

I've created and collected game icons with a "black plate" theme ever since my first Android phone. I've also tinkered with dock icons and come up with a look I like. I decided there might be someone else out there who is as particular as I am about the way my icons look if they're on a homescreen.
I use Folder Organizer from the Play Store to create single homescreen icons that pop up a window for multiple apps. This is very helpful for games. I have 30 or so...but don't want to scroll through all of them. So I group them by something in common (finger swiping, emulator, etc). Here is what it looks like for me. Screenshot
Here are my game icons. Screenshot

Also, I use LauncherPro. I've tried them all, and always come back. One thing I love, is the swipe options on your dock icons. Especially for web-browsing. Here you can see my dock icons and the reason why I'd take up one of my 5 spots with a Browser shortcut given LauncherPro's swipe feature. Screenshot
Here are my dock icons. Screenshot
Download Spearoid Dock Icons Personally, I think the clear ones are the best-looking.
If you end up using my game icons and wish I had a game icon for a game you play that I don't, feel free to mention the game title in this thread and I'll see if I can add it to the mix!
UPDATE: So my gaming icons are the neatest, tidiest collection I have, but here are the icons I've used for my apps that are not game-related. Some I just re-sized from the internet, some I made on my own. Screenshot
Download Spearoid Misc Icons
Those are some nice icons, don't have a lot of games so not much use to me though. Are these usable on home screen also or just in folders? I'm currently using Lightning launcher, not as modifiable as Launcher Pro, Go launcher, etc but it is lite and fast. For me the others just seem to bog down after awhile.

thanks for the kind words TXWolf1980.
As for the question from KJW979, these are just .png files. Any program that allows you to change the icon of a shortcut should allow you to use these....launchers and organizers like the folder organizer app I mentioned.
I've updated the OP to include icons for my apps that aren't for games. They are more random so I didn't think to upload them.

How to combine Icon Packs? Or how to get Iconzy working on Android 10/OnePlus 7 Pro?

Hello guys.
I have 2 similiar Icon Packs (LineX & Linebit). I have some apps from my country that are not in the icon pack. When I manually pick the icon pack and want to search for replacement icons (school grade app=any school themed icon) it shows all icons, but I can't search with words for particular one like with Nova Launcher...so I'd have to scroll all the way through and look through over 4000 icons each time. I have OnePlus 7 Pro with Android 10.
I tried "Iconzy" icon pack manager with search engine. Works with Nova Launcher, but when I try it in OnePlus launcher...it shows "Unable to load icon package source" or something like that.
So I'm stuck...I can't search per icon pack, cuz there is no magnifying glass icon to search....Iconzy doesn't work. Tried some other app called ICondy, but it made APK file of the icons I"ve picked for each app from the 2 bought icon packs previously mentioned, but when installed and picked - it didnt make a damn thing. All apps looked like STOCK. I now understand whz...ICondy app was updated in 2015 for Android 6, so that's maybe why.
Any suggestion where I could have search button for the icons? Or an app / software for PC where I could make my icon pack from these 2 icon packs (LineX & Linebit) that would suit my needs? I'm fine with this tedious workaround, it will be much easier to pick it from 2x4000 icon list with the scary part that it might bug and lose it's memory.
And why? I heard Nova Launcher (any 3rd party launcher) is buggy on Android 10 because some gesture elements or IDK. And I want to see the changed icons in "Recent Apps / Multitask app manager", which Nova Launcher doesn't change I believe.
Thanks a lot guys
