is it possible to de activate the standard slide lock screen that the X10 comes with as its annoying sliding to unlock then having to draw my pattern id rather it went strait to the pattern screen
thanks
I don't think it is possible. There are many threads about it with no answer so far...
Get the goto app.
I did a test of using pattern lock and when I was on the lockscreen I jus had to press the home key, enter pattern lock and voila.. I was home lol
if you wana see my review of my less than 1 day experience with it then goto the post on Recommended Apps
Hope it helps!!!

I have my Samsung omnia II (I8000) with PocketShield installed
I changed the next key in the registry:
HKCU\Software\Samsung\LockScreen\lock
from 1 to 0
you could try it or find something similar in the registry

ThrottleLock App
I am simply loving this app. Great work. But i wanna report a small bug that if u are on lock screen and press the home tab then it will go on home whereas lock screen will be running in background. Turn off the screen and then turn on it will again show u the lock screen.
I m using v0.9.1 of this app
I have a 10minute delay until the pattern lock screen pops up but what if i wanted to lock the screen right away instead of waiting the 10 minutes, is there a widget or LaucherPro shorcut method to do this?
Go into settings then security and you can reset the delay time

i don't want to reset the delay. i want to keep the 10min delay and have the option to press something to immediately lock the phone.
Yes - found what your looking for!

Yes there is thank goodness. I wanted this myself - tired of pressing the power button to lock the screen. The widget is called Lock Screen Widget from the marketplace. Enjoy - I know I did.
i tried that widget but it doesn't work. just turns the screen off.
i should note that i'm also using "Lock Delay" but even with Lock Delay uninstalled, the Lock Screen widget doesn't work for me.
A lot of people are saying that Lock Delay doesn't work with 2.2 but i'm not having any problems aside from the lock pattern coming up at random times but thats ok, it's only once a while.
pressing the power button works fine for me it locks the screen
we all have different configurations though:
I have Lock Delay to accomplish the following:
1. Pattern Lock only comes on after 10minutes of inactivity
2. Pressing Power button to turn the screen off and then on again will not show the Slide To Unlock screen
This way If i'm going to use the phone on and off during a short period of time (10 minutse), I won't have to keep bothering with sliding to unlock the screen every time i turn the display on.
By default the slide to unlock screen always comes up.
Hmmm. Works for me

Thats exactly what i was thinking lol. As far as the OP idk. i know there are widgets that can turn the lock pattern on and off so if you were to turn off the delay and use that widget that kinda solves your problem
Try switch pro widget

that's what a lot of people have probably but the problem that i see with that is that you have to slide to unlock and pattern unlock EVERY time you turn the display back on. am i correct? because i currently have Lock Delay (app) that disables both slide and pattern locks during the first 10 minutes so i don't have to mess with them every time i want to use the phone.
SwitchPro doesn't work, it only brings me to the unlock settings screen, pressing back will cancel out of the lock.
Lock screen widget works for me
Sent from my HTC EVO 4G
switch pro widget has that option and many more for the power widget
So i got a new ROM flashed it correctly.

Anyway i wanted to set a lock for the device. I chose the HD mini lock and then after setting it i wanted to set a pin. i did. but i cant unlock it. so basically its bricked. i put in my password "21066" (if that will help), but the unlock button is not responding on the screen or when i press enter on the keyboard. please help me i've only had this device for 2wks so i really dont want to brick it now.
Thank you!
About the CHT lockscreen:
The CHT lock screen does not support any PIN code or password protected unlocking.
Remove any unlock codes before turning on the CHT lockscreen or you will be permanently locked out of your device and you'll have to do a hard reset.
If you are using a gsensor app to automatically rotate the screen and you have it to always rotate, you should add the class "CHTLockscreen" to the exception list.
If you don't have the rotation app set rotate everything, but only a list of desired programs, then you don't have anything to worry about.
If you need to lock the CHT lockscreen externally, you can do it with this: "\Windows\CHT_Helper.exe -lock"
More here
Thanks for replying dandana
ANYWAY, i found out how to do a hard reset on the phone idk what the reset button was but it was the little headphone thing. thank you guys so much
Is there a way to bypass the swipe up lock screen after initially turning the screen on and going directly to the pattern lock screen? Annoying to have to unlock twice. Automatically did this when enabling pattern lock on my previous phone.
Any apps for this?

if you disable the sense lock screen you will have my problem... where there is still a 'slide to unlock' screen to which you cannot get rid of either... you can try a program 'antilock' and set it to skip the lock screen... but it kind of swipes the screen for you and you still see the screen then it dissappears
painful i know but this kind of just how it is
As above there isn't much you can do about it with the stock sense rom. Sense just isn't designed that way. Rejoicing the sense lock screen replaces it with the aosp one and also breaks the alarm clock.
On the other hand Cyanogenmod lets you disable the lock screen when pattern lock is enabled and many other lock screen customizations. If you aren't into rooting your phone its not really an answer though.

Thanks guys. I am rooted, but no mods for this yet...
I too would like to remove lock screen so it can go straight to lock pattern. if you remove htclockscreen.apk you cant see who is calling you until you unlock screen. I think I read somewhere its because there no aosp roms out there for the sensation yet.
cant wait for cm on sensation...

Look in the edit build promp thread in dev section set the associated press menu to unlock string to true ans reboot.. Then just press the menu button which will rid the slide to unlock page almost instantly thereby allowing for faster access... I find it the best work around for now
