Hi i just got a new g1 i want to know how do u i flash my phone to the hero rom and my version is 1.6 so please anybody help me out.

The answer has been posted a million times all over this forum and if you're too lazy to search for it then nobody is gonna just GIVE you the answer. Search the forum and you WILL find the answer. nobody here is just gonna do it for you. not tryin to be a **** but most everyone here is busy with their own ventures and nobody wants to take the time to answer the SAME QUESTION AGAIN that we've already answered a million times before, EVERYTIME A NOOB GETS A NEW G1.

And let's be honest, that happens every day

Well I'll assume your phone is rooted.
Partition your card (class 6) with ext3 or 4 with 96 or above swap. Get death SPL, then flash your desired hero.
oh, and wipe everything before you flash.

Dude, seriously search the forums. There are plenty of guides out there.

Depends on who's saying it. It's not hard to get hero (I did it all in one night), some others take a while

How to get hero....partition sd card then flash rom oh last and mos important...grab hammer and smash g1 OR USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!!

I completely agree Donut will always be the best, fastest, most stable until the full Eclair Code is out. I am flashing this now to try it out. Eclair looks nice and has nice features but it cant beat a Donut rom yet.
EDIT: After Flashing, so far so good. speed is really nice. On par with ZX Donut. It is a very smooth rom, good job. Thank you.

Thanks -love the splash screen! ...unfortunately however, could somebody post the sense splash screen as well (or a way to remove this). I like it, but need to bring my phone to sprint so they can fix my power button...just want to be able to go back and forth so i don't get flagged.

I don't post cause i generally don't have questions but i've been using this forum for over a year and have used plenty of roms. I generally just like and don't waste time posting to anything but to just ask a stupid question i have to have 10 posts in development when most post I read have been already answered in OP...

I know this has been posted in other sections of XDA, for other phones, and being discussed in the MIUI thread itself, but just in case you didn't know, this is potentialy awesome.

I like certain aspects of MIUI myself (system setting anyone? freaking awesome!), but since I live in a "better than average 4G" area, I don't use it.
This might change everything.

Best of luck. I love MIUI on my g2 back then. I always followed the devs work on the phone. So many haters said it would not work but now MIUI is a supported Rom for the g2.

wow this sure brings some old stories lol... good luck with dev'ing the MIUI for this phone and thanks! i have never been on a miui rom before cuz' this is my first smartphone but i liked what raver did so i would love to try it

So I finally was able to get it to build...
I used Valhalla final to work with.... Seems like most of the apps FC and the status bar is not working yet. I am going to try flashing to a stock rom with stock kernels and build a rom and see how that works....

Im not sure about the xda app but the tapatalk app sometimes doesnt show a respond/post option and the only way to reply is quoting somebody. But IIRC the tapatalk one shows the links. Its easy to backspace delete them.
Still no reason to quote like that. Especially when you only post one word replies...I mean just hit thanks and be done with it.
