Cheap replacement batteries for TG01? - TG01 Accessories

I found claims of using LG batteries in TG01 with varying levels of success.
LG LX600 (Sprint Lotus) batteries (LGIP-490A) can be used but cannot be charged by the phone, it has to be charged with a separate charger.
LG LGIP-470A (AX830, Glimmer, KF750, Secret, UX830, Shine KE970, Shine KF600, Shine KG70, Shine KG70c, Shine KU970) also seems to fit, but I'm not sure if it can be charged by the phone.

Just get the Mugen 1300mah http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624969
Les than £20 delivered and works great and keeps my TG01 going all day and a bit more and whats more its a genuine battery desgined for the phone and comes with warrany.

Seconded - the Mugen Power batteries are the way to go.

well they would be if they ever get them back in stock, does anyone else make a decent battery?

http://cgi.ebay.de/BATTERIE-Toshiba...0496196129?pt=DE_PDA_Zubehör_KM#ht_1269wt_969
here you go

Cameron Sino uses to be despised on Internet forums as battery supplier. To be honest, I've used CS batteries on my former devices, without problems. They worth its price (But that's only my personal view)
Amazon: Another source here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Battery-1100mAh-For-Toshiba-TG01/dp/B00366HOC2
They are good news. When a brand as Camerosn Sino decides make a copy of a battery's device, that means that this device has been quite successful!

Don't worry about the stock indicator on the page - just place your order and wait. They seem to build them to order.

High quality Mugen Power 2000 mah battery (looks really good!)

Straight from the Mugen Power website. Free world-wide shipping (non-EU countries get it 12 bucks cheaper): http://www.mugenpowerbatteries.info.../es109514_es120302495377/Products/HLI-P3700ML
The back-cover looks quite good. I sent them an email asking whether the back-cover is indeed the one they show in the pictures.
A similar or identical product (although picture is different) at the UK shop mobilefun.co.uk: http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/17413.htm
(I posted in several threads about the latter, apologies to the mods).
liamhere has purchased the latter from mobilefun.co.uk and said he'll be back with details and hopefully pics: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2739093
I also spoke with mobilefun.co.uk on the phone and they were incredibly helpful (and nice). They said they'll call back after they check the warehouse ... and they did! They actually measured the whole thing and described the battery and the back case:
- the Diamond with the new battery and cover is 17 mm thick.
- they said the battery is indeed of high quality and that if i'm not happy with the performance then they will offer a full refund or an exchange.
- the battery itself is about 9.5-10 mm thick and pretty hefty they said.
- the back cover is not the original HTC BP E270 but is all flat along the device (not like the ones with an ugly hump) and feels solid and of high quality. I actually prefer a flat back-cover so that the TD becomes more usable when sitting on a desk.
- the camera hole is a conic inset and he said it should not cause any bottom shades in pictures from the looks of it
It all sounds good. The first link to the Mugen Power website battery looks better than what mobilefun.co.uk described but I would kind of prefer a flat back cover. I'm eagerly waiting for liamhere's feedback.
Cheers
Does the gps work with this battery?
i haven't got one yet so i don't know ... i'm waiting for liamhere's feedback; (s)he purchased the one from mobilefun.co.uk and will post some feedback
i still don't know if the two batteries and back covers are the same. mobilefun.co.uk says it's "Power-Cell" and that is backed up by the Mugen Power tech. Also, the mobilefun.co.uk rep said the back cover is flat while the Mugen Power picture (1st link) shows a diamond-like cover.
i'm also very interested whether gps works
Thank you for your reply.....we shall wait for his input. Thanks anyway.

tested it all morning and no joy

oh man!! That one does not work either
I bought one 1900mah battery on ebay and gps doesn't work either I am really burned out with this device.
-Poor signal
-Short battery life
-GPS issue.
I am going to get my HTC Tmobile G1 with Android the 22nd and if it works I will sell the Diamond....I miss my Trinity.
Thanks for your input.
I wouldn't necessarily assume that the Mugen version affects the GPS in the same way - the version sold by Mobilefun is well documented in the way it makes GPS not work; I don't believe that the 2 are the same product even if they look similar (the Mugen back cover looks more like the official back cover for a start).
Of course, it might still break the GPS, but don't assume it does.
Will it fit/work in the Sprint diamond
The sprint diamond is already .6inches which is about 17-16mm so i wonder if this battery would fit without any extra thickness? I e-amiloed them today and when they respond I will also ask about the GPS

Herewith we would like to stress that the 2000mAh HLI-P3700ML and the upcoming 3000mAh HLI-P3700XL Mugen Power batteries for the HTC Touch Diamond do NOT affect the working of the GPS in the device. We must clarify that the GPS function of our model HLI-P3700ML is actually very good indeed.
Please be aware the Power-Cell Ultra Battery is NOT a Mugen Power product and we advise you to buy Mugen Power batteries only from authorized Mugen Power distributors and resellers.

[Q] Anyone Tried This? - Replacement Battery

Hey Guys
I'm having some quite bad battery life with my DHD and I was looking into getting a bigger capacity battery.
I found this:
http://www.htcrepairparts.com/standard-battery-for-htc-desire-hd1600mah-p-3411.html?language=en
It is 1600 mAh and on paper looks promising and before I just wanted to check has anyone ordered this and had successful results with this battery and the seller or is it just a fail?
Thanks
Patrick
Found one while browsing around for a replacement for my DHD too.
Can't post links yet, but if you go to a site called evertop ending in a .co.uk and search for 35H00141-02M, you will find one with 1550mAH rating.
There are a few of these replacement ones claiming higher capacity, but one has to be cautious about these things mate.
Would love to find a genuinely reliable replacement one, although I must admit, if you haven't tried it already, there is a thread around which has a tip to charge the DHD in a certain way - seems to have worked for me upto certain extent - have managed to go over 24h without the need to charge with moderate use.
Hi I am a new member here. I also read somewhere about a mugen battery. haven't been able to order yet. I recently bought an external 5000mAh battery (USB charging) I can charge my DHD approximately 4 times before recharging the external battery.
just wanted to share an alternative to extended batteries that need to replace your battery cover.
a 5000mAh? holy ****...
EXTERNAL
the ones, which you connect to your usb port and charge the phone's battery
i wouldn't buy another internal one than the original.
battery's can be really dangerous..no chance to buy one from china or so..just my 2 cents.

These are the same as ones you can get from ebay.

Take extra precaution to this company. They will send you counterfeit goods no matter what if they think you are incapable of fighting back (say, living too far away).
My friend has been scammed once, and he went through all the complain channel in UK online in vain. It seems that UK's Government has no intention to stop online scammers that are active in their own countries. That was really an awkward discovery.
So be very careful.
I still don't get why people consider battery life as extremely important for phones that have easy to remove batteries...
They arent too expensive, ($3 on ebay for a 1600 mah fake, $15 for a genuine 1230) and its not exactly that hard to keep a few on you.
External batteries are also another option, but they usually use more space than internal ones (and they also require a cable).

but external can hold ALOT more AND plug into various devices
I would definitely recommend an external powerpack. I have a New Trent 5500mah pack, and it indeed gives 2-3 recharges, in a form factor slightly smaller than the DHD.
The only battery which is not fake, is the Mugen, coming in at 1500mah. It's not a huge improvement, but many say it's the difference between running out of juice mid-evening, and making it through to the night and the power cord.
Search for Mugen in this forum, all the details are there.
Or look for NewTrent on Amazon for example. The price varies (and they have bigger models too).
Avoid ALL OTHER "high capacity" batteries

You are right, batteries aren't expensive nowaday.
I recommend using genuine where possible. Fake/replacement/counterfeit batteries return bogus charging level to the devices, and that would result in pre-mature shutdown which would damage mobile devices.

evertop co uk is a well-known scammer. You should have looked up uk's ripoff list (forgot the full name of this website, you could search) and you can find it listed top 10 or something.
UK is hoarded with scammers like that, because their government just don't give a dime of what their people do on the internet.

- Ive been a little worried about this as I have a cheap one from China which came in an accessory pack, which by the way sucked. everything has just fallen apart. but the battery, which I rely on heavily as a backup, seems to have a better life than the original odly enough, dunno what's up with that. afraid it may leak or output higher charges and fry my phone?

Mugen 4500mAh Extended Battery for G2X

Look what I found on Mugen's international site. Of course it has a new back cover for the phone because the battery is so chubby. But 4500mAh, dang!
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...tery-for-lg-optimus-2x-p990-t-mobile-g2x.html
thanks for the link but NO WAY! $100+ is way to rich for my blood...
i just ordered 2 of these. i like the idea plus they are solar and charge all my gadgets on top of my phone. and shipping from china is 22 for dhl but they are worth it and are the size or smaller than our phone! holds almost twice the charge with multiple voltages including 3.7v which is ours.
Total was around $52 after shipping but just sell one or keep the other for twice as much! ill repost this link in thread.

Too expensive and UGLY
Wow, out if my budget.
I could buy 3 external batteries including shipping, for that.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
look at the back cover on that thing and then the shape of the batter! what a waste of space!
I am sorry but I get plenty of juice out of my battery, i dont know what i would do with a battery twice the size let alone three times the size of my current one... that **** would last all week without needing a recharge!
honestly for the same price, little bigger and more juice i could just lug around a mini nuclear reactor... where is tony stark when you need him? im trying to hook my phone up with that mini arc reactor bro!
Yeah, that is way too bulky for the size. If they wanted to extend the back of it, why wouldnt they make the battery a sort of P shape that extends further up the back so it doesnt have to bulge as much?
I MIGHT buy a battery that only makes the back case flush with the camera. I already dont like that camera hump on the back, so a battery that only needed to extend that much or a tiny bit more would be perfect. Maybe like a 2500mAh?
Thread cleanup, back on topic please.
My question here is this: Is it completely safe to use this battery?
I'm thinking perhaps in the future I might want to buy one because I deplete my battery extremely fast with constant use. The only thing I'm worried about is if it will hurt my phone in any way.

you know I was thinking this too, but I did watch some reviews on youtube on their other 4500 mah extended batteries for other android phone models. It doesn't look that bad, infact it seems to make the phones look like a tiny miniature powerhouse PCs from the future.
Right now it says their sold out and will get new stock in June, I'm definitley gonna get one. If like the reviews say that some people don't have to charge this extended battery after 3 days of heavy use then I'll be in G2x heaven. Infact, I would bet as LG was in the design proces for the phone that they were shooting for a phone that could last for 3-5 days on one battery charge, but since marketing research thinks consumers will only buy a slim form factor cell phone, they opted to cut corners on performance for cosmetics, which absolutley sucks in my opinion.

Right on, can't wait for the review. Just wanted to ask though, I saw that they were out of stock and that they'd get more in stock and if I ordered on that certain day I looked on the site, I would get it on June 3rd. I looked at the site again and it said if I ordered that day I'd get it on the 10th, now I checked again today and it said if I ordered I'd get it on the 6th. What gives with all the different ship dates?
You also said you just got the 4800 for your Atrix.
When did you order that one and how long did it take for you to recieve it?
How was it shipped out to you, UPS or USPS?
How did you purchase, with credit card or paypal?
How professional are they and quality of the product?
Does the product come with a specific charger?
And how long did your Atrix last on standard battery and how long does the Mugen battery last?
Sorry for the questions, I'm just very interested in this battery and I'm so ready to purchase, just waiting till they get it in stock, before I ordered, although I'm so anxious just to put in the order now and wait for them to ship it out to me on the proposed date a couple weeks later. But is that wise?

Check the forums for an easy to build tester. I tested a few, and stock batteries for g2 and vibrant, none of the extended ones lived up to their claims. They had more capacity, but not what they claimed, and some caused instability. Stock oem tested within 5%. Extended varied wildly, best being about 25% shy of stated. Imo, that's false advertising at best.
I still have the tester set up. Ship me a battery and I'll test it for you if you like. I'll even pay to ship it back to you, but I will post about it here if you do. Personally, I'm not wasting any more money on them for myself.

The quality of the product is awesome. At least so far. This is my second Mugen battery. I had one for the nexus one as well. worked just fine. The one for the atrix ROCKS right now. On average usage (with stock battery) I would get about 1.5 days. With the Mugen, I hit 3 days with 1 full charge under the same usage pattern
Does the product come with a specific charger?
Nope. Just the battery and the back cover.

1.5 days vs. 3 days

The only way to test a battery is using an external load / voltmeter jig. Based on my past experience with Mugen, their 4500mAh battery will test out much lower, my bet is somewhere around 3400mAh. Just enough to make you feel like you got value for your money. Theres no way the average consumer can compare battery life using the phone itself.

So far, it's been good (I'm still talking about the Mugen Atrix battery since I haven't reeived the G2x one yet). Far better than the stock battery (not just by a couple of hours but by days) so I'm happy

I'll pay a hundred bucks to get at least 2-3 days on one charge. Anything to get rid of this miserable battery life that makes you feel anxiety when you're away from an outlet, especially if you use the G2x like I do which is on the internet constantly browsing and watching vids and playing vid games.
Although on another note, auto airplane mode does indeed make the phone somewhat viable and stops the drastic bleeding when the phone is not being used, and I also notice that under settings> accounts & sync> background data turned off also helps very much with the horrible battery drain when on standby.
Tmobile has sent me a replacement battery which I had to pay $10 shipping, so I might recieve it on the 3rd of June, I'll hold off on the Mugen 4500 mah and see how the replacement from tmobile goes and play around with the other settings I just mentioned. I just don't like the idea of switching out the batteries each time. Gonna put wear and tear on the battery cover and all, so even though I have an extra battery, I'm still considering the Mugen extended.

I just don't like the idea of switching out the batteries each time. Gonna put wear and tear on the battery cover and all, so even though I have an extra battery, I'm still considering the Mugen extended.

I know exactly what you mean! That is the reason I was willing to spend $100+ on a battery because I didn't want to bother carrying extra batteries all the time or swapping them out or worry about charging each one..
I have one, lasts me 3+ days and don't have to swap anything.
Might not be ideal for most people, might be heavy but hey... it's perfect for me
Without a doubt, there is value in having a battery that can last 2 or 3 days. I've purchased large capacity batteries from Mugen and Seidio, and happily used them.
But, for the price paid for these batteries, I also expected to get what was advertised in terms of mAh rating. It irritates me that these companies feel that they can just print whatever inflated rating they want on these batteries and there is no consequence for them.
Heres what I've determined: High quality OEM batteries I've used in the last 4 years all have been around 1500mAh, as that seems to be the sweet spot in terms of size vs capacity for a phone manufacturer. Mugen & Seidio use cheaper cells, typically 1200mAh for the same physical dimensions as the OEM cell. From there, its simple math, 2 cells equals 2400mAh (not the 3000mAh stamped on the sticker. My guess, without even looking at a picture, is that the Mugen 4500mAh battery is a 3 cell unit with a real capacity of 3600mAh.
3600mAh is not a bad setup, I'd throw $100 for it. But I'd still be irritated.
What would be really nice is the manufacturer giving us the option of buying another cell, the stock oem battery with a replacement back that had a charge balance circuit and anything else it would need to be reliable. Known good cells, just an extra one.

Safety of replacement batteries

I'm looking for a replacement battery for my S4. Since it's replacement it doesn't have to be as good. What scares me though is that those cheap ebay/dealextreme batteries might hurt my phone somehow (those golden batteries etc). Is this possible, or is it safe to use those 'fake' batteries?
Also I would love if you guys could recommend a decent replacement battery for a good price (even better with a wall battery charger).

I have a problem with the huge ass batteries, I like my phone the way it is, so I'm looking for regular size.

Suit yourself, but I'm going on 19 hours off of a full charge with my Zerolemon and I still have 55% left.

ZeroLemon will be doing a regular sized battery as well which is what i'm waiting for. And ZeroLemon are known for their reliability (and actually being 3000 mAh). I wouldn't trust the ebay ones.
i got one of this to test and it was the perfect replacement battery. So just ordered this from amazon expecting delivery right about now...

After some research I came to a conclusion I want that one too. Can you check if it's just the same size as the original battery? As I've seen some Anker batteries which were good but slightly too large.

the one i tested was non nfc, these are nfc enabled but i doubt that would make them that much bigger to bulge, but ill let you know as soon as this UPS man arrives at my office, gotta love amazon prime!
I bought the Anker batteries. Get 2 batteries and a wall charger. The wall charger also has a USB port which can output 1A, which it pretty good to carry around if needed. I've read reviews how when these first came out it was a really tight fit, but it seems that they made adjustments because the ones I received fit in just fine, like the OEM ones.
Being that I dont have 10 post I can't post urls this is

Title-3X Battery for Samsung Galaxy SIV S4 GT-i9500 with External Charger 3250 mAh
worth it
I almost always buy the cheapo chinese batteries for my phones. Here are my findings:
They will last throughout the day about as long as genuine batteries... for the 1st year
After the 1st year, they will start to degrade.... depending on your use, lack of use, temperature, etc... I have some 2.5 year old chinese epic 4g batteries that still work.. but only last about 4 hours. My original battery will still go a good 12hrs. I only keep them around for emergencies, but I don't really use that phone anymore.
The cheapo chargers that come w/ it is very handy and usually work pretty well.
Depending on how much you use them, they will last you a couple years.
Why i think they are worth it:
For ten bucks, they are a great backup battery. By that I mean, when get home from work and my battery is almost dead.... I can swap out the battery for the rest of the evening and don't have to put my phone on the charger till bed.
I'm a normal smart phone user, a normal batter will last me the day most days. I don't game or do too many intensive things..
I get them because I know that I will get a new phone every 1.5 to 2 years... so why do my batteries need to outlast the phone?
Who shouldn't use them:
People who really drain their batteries. They simply won't go as many recharge cycles as a normal battery (by that I mean full empty to full charge).
Tips:
Mark your crappy batteries with a permanent marker. The chinese clones look so good that you probably can't tell the difference between them and a real on. Mark the fake ones so that you can use your real on days when you know you really need lasting power. This isn't so important the first 9 months... but after that it could be.
Watch for reviews on a good battery seller (if buying from ebay)... there are good cheap-o batteries and their are crappy ones. I like to let other people figure it out

Searching for battery

Well.. I'm a bit hopeless ATM.
I'm trying to buy a new replacement battery for my H850.
Thing is, internet is FULL of scam sellers and even more products.
I mean yeah, it's easy to avoid Chinese crap with 18569303mah but there are batteries claim to be the "original" with the yellow sticker and everything but they're actually just fake copies.
Is there any trusted place I can order the actual original LG replacement and not a fake made in a basement in China?
Thanks
LG still sells OEM G5 batteries on their website for 39.99 USD. First result when googling LG G5 Battery. No one seems happy about the battery life on the reviews though.
original battery is also available in Aliexpress, i found only 1 listing with OEM battery, all others are fake!
I absolutely love my G5 SE H840, but the battery is shot. I can barely get half a day out of the thing. Open a game and I can sit and watch the battery drain at 3/4% per second. No I am in the market for a bettery and am also having a hard time finding an OEM battery anywhere around here (South Africa)

Well..
I found (and purchased, waiting for delivery) this one few days ago.
It seems to be less fake than usual. Hope it won't result to another PayPal claim by me. I'm getting sick of this game.

Normally the fakes come in horrible printed packaging And compared to a genuine one you can tell all kinds of misprints and such defects in the manufacturing process.
Where did all the spare batteries and charging cradles that lg gave away go? lol
I got 3 batteries and a cradle for mine still
Well I've got the battery and it seem fine.
It'll be the last battery for my G5.
By the time new battery will be needed G7 will be out and well... xD
Why not buy the charging cradle that already comes with an additional battery? Most of these cradles are legit and cheap, my most recent purchase was from last year and I only payed 18$ for a charging cradle (the battery included, same capacity) through Amazon
I would never pay for it $40 for this battery, I have two batteries and both of them drain horribly bad and most likely are already dying, and since i spent an entire year daily switching each battery due to lacking a charging cable, that only means that it used each battery for the length of an half a year.
These batteries are so so so so worthless it's not worth the sacrifice spending ton on money on a single unit
Edit: checked Amazon, cradles aren't cheap anymore, i guess lg dropped support for the lg g5 so their are not restocking their older replacement parts, unless I'm wrong.
You CAN find like 9$ lg g5 batteries on Amazon, by LG LG (not considering they are not the supplier, be careful with whichever store supplier you're buying, refunds are guaranteed either one way or another so it's nothing to worry about)
But yeah enjoy ur new fresh battery, hope this info helps others
Just ordered the 2-pack of AEXPower along with the external charger off Amazon. I have a Disney trip this weekend so I'll definitely make use of testing them out. I'll update this post Sunday night or Monday.
Update on the AEXPower batteries. Are they OEM quality? Close. I can almost get a full days of use out of it...taking pictures and posting to social media and such. But, the joy of this phone is having the ability to swap out batteries quickly. Battery Stats rated the battery right at 2800mAh after a few 100% discharges so I highly doubt that it's actually the 3000mAh that they rate it at. However, it's still a good battery and would definitely recommend it since you're getting 2 batteries and an external charger for sub $30.
Is it better to get OEM battery which was manufactured in 2016 or non OEM manufactured in 2017? Also does non OEM support Quick Charge 3?
This is the only one I saw on amazon with good reviews

Newegg.com.
Nice price too.

Just ordered the two pack with charger..... will post sometime in May after they get down here to me in S.A.
I have been using two LG batteries with the LG charger dock but they now shut off the phone when they get down to 15% very fast.
Was just going to get a newer phone but now with 15.1 (Oreo) coming soon I think I will stick with the phone another year!
I think we will be the last with a swappable battery in our phones
