Hi there,
I have tried multiple distributions, all running using haret.
the last one I had tried is Kallt_kaffe and DZO Froyo RLS2. they are great, bit slow but great.
the only problem I have is there is a phone ring delay
for the ringtones already installed there is a 3 ring delay with any ringtone. but If i use an mp3 ringtone the other party disconnect without me hearing a single ring.
I'm not sure where is the problem I'm using Pcarvalho 23557.5.5.0, I'm not sure which version of radio but I guess it's the latest one.
can anybody help me to elaminate the ring delay
thanks in advance

Hi,
I have flashed with Dutty's Official WM6.1 ROM and now it's working fine except sound.
When I receive call only vibrate and the applications are also silent.
Where can be a problem?

You need to flash a new radio, try one of the versions in the first page of the Dutty's ROM Port. Or read the sticky on this forum. There is a radio help link in there.
For the life of me, I can not figure out why my phone (when set to vibrate and ring) only vibrates when receiving a call. I've tried it at the "normal" sound setting and at "automatic" and when calling from my landline, it still just vibrates w/ no ringtone. When going into HTC Home 2.1, i check the ringtone and it plays. Any help on the matter? or a good explanation of what the "automatic" sound setting truly does? I feel like an idiot...
ps I'm using OEM status as far as my rom goes. I've only added HTC Home and the Kaiser Tweak.
Thanks Dave, now it is OK!
I ran a test to see how long it takes for my phone to actually start ringing.
And it took at the least 4 seconds to start ringing, by this time the caller has heard the ring in his ear for about 5 rings.
Does anybody know how this can be fixed or to be made faster?
What ring setting have you got ? Vibrate and then ring ?

If i remember right the easiest solution is to convert your MP3 ringtone to a .wav file.
Its set to Vibrate and Ring

That is also in my case.
But... once I had a longer period. I checked the taskmanager and a lot of software was loaded. Maybe a program was too busy.
Then I tested again and loaded a bunch of programs and each time the phone was like above: 1e ring blinking and second ringing.
Of course it is possible that, while calling from the same number, the mp3/wav is already in memory, speeding up the process.
So, after a soft reset, it should take more time.
Did not have time to check that.

P.s.
My problem is: I keep loosing my ringtones now and then after synching with my PC's

Thanks, I will take a look at running apps and try and see what factors would cause delays like this.
I disabled the touch pro themed dial keypad using advanced configuration tool. The phone rang a bit more quickly using windows mobile default keypad.
Ok so I uninstalled CommPro and it seemed to be much quicker now. It get the ringtone after the second ring.
Thanx
Hey I have a small problem with my Fuze. Why is it that the phone will flash the light around the D-Pad before it starts to play my ringtone? Is anyone else having this problem? I want my phone to immediately start ringing when receiving a phone call instead of getting the flashes first. I miss many calls because by the time my phone actually plays my ringtone, it'll have gone by about 3 or 4 rings from the caller. Any help is appreciated.
change dialpad to win 6.1 default
change ringtone to a .wav file
That will speed it it up by 3-4 sec. You will never get rid of all the lag though. sorry
I think theres a setting without DiamondTweak that enables you to disable the delay between the call be recieved and the ring or vibrrate initiating. Check it out here:

Unfortunately that only changes the delay between the first ring and consecutive rings, not the initial delay before the first ring.
Thanks, it made a enough of a difference that it is no longer a nuisance.
Im using the [Oct 05] Polaris Kitchen v1.4 Multilang - WM6.1 (Build 19965.1.2.3) ROM for a while now.
having notice anything until now.
ROM Version is 3.13.405.0 WWE
Radio 1.58.21.23
The problem is that when I call numbers that has touch tone option, like press 1 for something, 2 for another...
the speaker emits a very annoying buzzing sound or noise. And I cant hear the other side.
It keeps on going until I soft reset the phone.
otherwise making normal call seems to be ok.
so basically I cant use voicemail, which is kind of a big problem.
I tried to look for answers but found nothing, sorry in advance if there is already a post for it.
Theros
Well, i really don't know why is it happening, but if it is indeed the DTMF tones playback on the earphone that causes it, you may try to simply disable it. It's in the phone options, under sounds, select "off" under keypad. It will still send out those tones, just won't play them on the earphone. I alway had this option on "off" simply because i don't like hearing the DTMF tones while dialing.
thank you,
problem fixed
can believe its so simple
but its definitely a glitch for this rom

What rom are you using? Gingerbread or ICS?
Try Settings/Sound & make sure Vibrate and ring is ticked, & also phone ringtone is selected & not shown as "Unknown"!
I have ICS Rom and when I downloaded mp3 to SD card to folder Media/ringtones and it works well. Also when I ticked ring and vibrate it works well. Thank you.
If your phone only rings once with a custom ringtone have a read of the last post here:
