I'm trying to get my top and bottom taskbars transparent. But I have no success.
I tried the cab from smaberg, changed the manila files in windows folder and also removed the taskbar.png with transparent ones.
All this doesn't work for me.
Who has a solution for Manila 2.5.19211619.0.

For transparent taskbars you have to use "HDWall" - search for it
smabergs cab is only for the cutains behind the operator logo and the bottom slider

But tbh, this is not a solution for transparency... It just replaces the black backgrounds in the top and bottom with slices of the selected wallpaper, meaning that as long as you can see the top bar, even if in a program, it will have the same slice of the wallpaper.
Real transparency comes for example when you press the windows hard button and get to that menu, that's a real transparent bar at the top... Although it might work in the same way, what do I know. I just find it too ugly that when you're in another program the top bar still has the slice of the wallpaper..

I tried HDWall. But the result is not satisfying. The bottom taskbar is now like the wallpaper. But the top is black. If I go to start menu the background is from the theme only the bottom taskbar is from the wall paper.
If I slide the menu I can't see the background. All is black except the bottom taskbar.
At the end this is ugly.

I played a bit around and deactivated Sense. So there´s the standard WM 6.5.5 homescreen - with transparent taskbar & softbar. Why isn´t this possible with Manila?

I also want to ask the same question but still waiting for solution around the web.
I use Today's Time on my home page in Ultimate Launch and have been trying to create clock face skins. The installed skins are in .bmp format. The problem I'm having is that each one of my clock face backgrounds loose the transparency needed to show up as a round object. Instead the white "background" square is displayed when installed. I use Photoshop CS3 to make the clock faces. Any help?

Hi guys, I want this icon into my taskbar but I am not good in photoshop.. What I need help with is basically to edit the file in photoshop, all the things that's black should be white and white should be black. That's how WM works I think, you have a normal file and then a mask for the transparency and stuff.

Copy the files in the attachment to your \Windows folder and restart manila.
Nice looking clock.
I also edited some numbers...
most part of the clock is transparent, so I added some examples of how the clock looks with a dark or light background.
Credits go to the makers of the GTX theme.

I use this great transparent manila slider and I really like the slim frame around the active icon - however the background is not transparent, which I would like.
Unfortunately I don't remember who made this, but all credits to him anyway.
Pic 1: The slider looks great when there is a black background.
Pic 2: The slider background is not transparent.
I'd really like this slider with 50% and 100% transparent background. Any one can help?
