Hi all,
In HD2 Sense, if I reopen Music Player it goes directly to the last played song in the current playlist (which is good). However, if I access the playlist (via Library), the current Playlist is ALWAYS reset and it starts from the beginning (which is not good!). So if I want to go to the last played song and select another song a few clicks lower in the playlist, I have to start from the top and re-scroll the ENTIRE playlist in order to find the last played song and start from there... This is very annoying, as most players (ex. Pocket Player which unfortunately is not supported in WinMo6.5) always take the playlist to the last played song after reopening. Any one knows of a solution?

I can't seem to get used to the TouchFlo3D music player. It found all my music and I can browse it in the library. I can play single mp3s from an album and somehow managed to create a playlist with all my music.
But isn't it somehow possible to play an entire album? Or all songs from an artist or genre? When I go to the library, choose the 'artists' tab, select an artist and press 'Play' at the bottom right it just returns to the media player without playing anything (the songs already there just remain there).
Am I missing something? Windows media player does it just fine but the touch music player confuses me bigtime.

Click to collapse
To play an album: "Library" -> click on the CD case picture (it will show all albums) -> scroll to the album you want to listen to -> tap on it -> tap on the first song (it will start paying the first song and will then continue with the rest of the album)
Argh, and if I go to the genre -> all songs and play the first one there it also queues the entire genre...
Cheers for the response anonimo... Can't believe how I missed it.
While i was searching for a way to create playlist from the phone itself, to work with WMP, the only real solution was Playlist manager. However, I ran into the error that keeps me from opening the playlist through the program and doesn't allow me to edit the playlist, but can only open in WMP. So I already had TCPMP on my phone and already knew I could make playlist and play them through TCPMP, but using tcpmp to play music takes too much time to find a song especially if you have a looong playlist. What I didn't know was TCPMP can save a playlist in ASX, so once I found that out, I was able to make a playlist through TCPMP, save it as an ASX and open it through WMP, which makes it alot easier to find a song if you just begin to type the title of it in the library. Just another solution for making playlists through the phone and playing it on WMP.
Did you read my Playlist / Media Library bible in the General forum? It might help you.
So I am using an HTC Evo running Android 2.2 with HTC Sense.
I am trying to set up some playlists in the stock music player.
Creating the playlists in the music player is pretty straight forward. The problem is some of the song titles are too long to read on the screen. It doesn't have a landscape mode either, so that doesn't help.
I have friends who are musicians, and I have a lot of their music on my phone. They will give me, for example, a 4 disk set with 20 songs per disk and each song will be named SquishFunkJamsWinter2010Song5Disk2.
If I put the whole folder for each disk in a playlist, it defaults to putting song 10 before song 1, and the order is all weird. And when I try to change the order of the playlist, I can't read the end of the name because it's too long.
Does anyone know of a good app that will let me create or edit playlists and will work in landscape, or at least let me scroll over to read the end of the longer file names?
Also, does anyone know where the stock HTC music player stores the playlists that it creates?
I am looking for a way to do this on the phone, not a computer...
So, on my LG Quantum, I was trying to create a new playlist from my existing mp3 files. When I do this, it creates a playlist with everysong.
So what's the point of creating a playlist if it has everysong?
Also, I am not seeing anyway to adjust the order of a playlist.
When I shuffle, it switches from playing a playlist, to playing all music.
Maybe it's as simple as clearing the music that is considered now playing. But, I am not seeing where that is displayed.
Starting up Music, the first screen says
Zune, with items (music, videos, podcasts, radio, marketplace)
The next screen says Histroy with tiles of songs and playlists.
The only menu options are play music and search marketplace.
The next screen says new with tiles of songs and playlists.
Again, the only menu options are play music and search marketplace.
The next screen says apps.
It lists MSN Money Stocks, and YouTube and YouTube again.
The only menu is search marketplace.
The next option takes me back to zune.
Since I want to create a playlist, I select music.
I can play an album and create a playlist from it.
If I play a song and create a playlist, it puts every song on my device in the playlist.
If like an album, but don't necessarily want all the songs of it in a particular playlists, I see no way to remove a song from a playlist, or create a playlist without the one song.
Anyone know how to create a playlist. Then add just the songs that you want to the list. Then shuffle the playlist. Then later remove and add songs to the playlist.
If there is an app that accomplishes this, I am fine purchasing it. I am just a little shocked that this is not built in or easier to figure out.
After going here: http://windowsphone.uservoice.com/forums/101801-feature-suggestions
And reading all requests for playlist, the feature just is not implemented well.
There is not a good way to create new playlists.
Only thing I can think will sort of work is to create a playlist on your computer with 1 song that you like or just a 1 second or shorter song of just silience.
Sync that your device. Now you can play the playlist. Then add songs to the now playing. then create a new playlist from that.
It's a lame work around and it won't get around the fact that you can't remove a song from a playlist.
Hi
I have bought the bubbleupnp app license. It is a great app.
However, recently, it is playing one song over and over.
When playing music from the library on my computer (via my phone) and using the Windows Media Player as a renderer, BubbleUpnp only adds one song onto the Windows Media Player playlist, even though I have selected a whole playlist from the library and copied it across to the BubbleUpnp playlist. This one song then repeats over and over, even though the now playing screen on BubbleUpnp lists a different song to play next.
If I hit the next song button, the next song will be added to the Windows Media Player Renderer and play.
Can anyone assist?
Cheers
Michael

That will happen if repeat is enabled in WMP (something the app cannot control). Disable it and it should work as expected.
Nex titme, ff you have other questions, use the BubbleUPnP thread instead.
