My G1 was long ago fried, I have no G1/32b. Read my sig if you desire.
Foreword:
Yup, its here. It is a dream compiled froyo ROM, but as usual I will be adding full 32b support. I have A LOT of work to do on it, but many have bugged and you have won. It is a straight AOSP ROM at the moment, but my tweaks will make their way in as usual. This is my major project at the moment. Post bugs that have not been posted only please.
For a ROM of this nature, a working/not working list is necessary:

hey king, how ya doin? did you include JIT on this build? also what speed additions have you included?
when you add the gapps, try to get Market to not FC, AND not have a limited app selection.. So far with froyo roms its only one... sad sad.
Also doesn't say whether JIT is working on this rom or not.

if you want swap, download the busybox app from the market, install busybox and do swapon
flash pershoot's kernel (it works with froyo) and overclock it to 576.

because, unlike apparently everyone else, my goal in life is not to be butt buddies with cyanogen or be on "team douche"
I do this to contribute my 2 cents - Many will agree I improve most things. Instead of getting on me for releasing this, go clean up where its needed - the nexus development section!
i dont contribute on here but jesus theres some pathetic idiots around sticking their oars in... twice ive felt the need to comment on negativity in the same day!! just be grateful theres people putting their ideas into developing for a 2 year old piece of hardware and making it great! Even when stuff is free, people act like tools. Does it matter who releases what? If you want CM, download CM when its here ffs King obviously likes to do it his own way and good on him for that, as do other dev teams and other devs.

I would assume the camera works, right? I figured alot of things would be working since the SDK has been officially released but then again, every rom has it's quirks when it's first released.

We need the drivers, not the SDK. But, the community is close!

the camera drivers have nothing to do with the SDK, so, no.
i wouldn't think it would be more than a few more weeks before we do get a working camera. come on, htc.

i'm booting into this right now...did a switchrom backup right when i saw this posting, we need to make sure this alpha/beta is on androidspin, and someone deticated to getting it up there fast...if not the creator a huge fan..lol i am a semi huge fan, not dedicated enough to do that..but was waiting for the sdk port when i heard the sdk was out...
also, i noticed this also does like lots of junk on first boots, like most of the new roms, which i like...like fix permissions, dextop'in. does it do zipalign'in and anything else, i wish i wasn't anal but i always watch the logcat as i do first boot, just to make sure i don't get a boot loop and it ruins the sd card...arg, like 20 min w/ this rom..like all new roms..lol oh well...crossing fingers for some glimmer of the g1 future w/ 2.1 w/ crazy speed and future HTC drivers when HTC gets with the open source vibe and gets rid of the word "propietery" (i can't spell)

Ok guys, kind of in a hurry, it is Friday and I have been pumpin out ROMs (good ones Id like to think as well) non stop. I will do the writeup for this ROM as soon as I can, same with the changelog... until then, enjoy!

good cuz im really sick of hero ROMs. they will NEVER be fast enough to run on MT3G. seriously, like espressso was nice but not fast enough to run daily. he has mad skillz but he should apply his skills to vanilla based ROMs. im sure it will kick major ass!

Hi, all,
Here is a project I have been working on for a couple days I would like to share with you. This is a pure, unmodified Android 1.6 Donut ROM.
Remember, this is a PRE-ALPHA, so don't expect stability, or anything extraordinary. Given that I am a pretty big n00b when it comes to developing (thus the broken market and sync in a 1.6 ROM ), and any help in getting these apps working is greatly appreciated.DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING HAPPENING TO YOUR PHONE, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!.
UPDATED: Okay, this thing is now usable. Ive combined AOSP code and The HTC ADP1 ROM so everything on the doesn't work list now works. The only things that dont work are the Apps2SD and Su (working on this as we speak). This ROM is also 100% stock.

Speed is the most important, and with all of this broken it wont help. Try making something of the new eris port.

you're not being helpful by saying that, this kid (i'm assuming, could be wrong) just wants to learn how to build ROMs and is asking for help.
Is this rom built straight off of AOSP or is it another rom and you put own touches? Because it will help alot more so i can see if i can fix some of the broken apps for you

It is built straight off AOSP, with the goal of being really fast, as fast as any other really good donut rom. But none of the other google apps work out of the box on AOSP, as I probably should have known. I would really appreciate it if you could help me out on this.

Why should I want to flash this? Or rather, why should I want to flash this once it's more developed? What is this going to have that Cyanogen or Super D or CSDI doesn't?
My point is, it'd be a good idea to maybe put something out there that you're planning on implementing into this that no one else is doing, or that you can do better. We have several stable, incredibly fast Donut roms out there right now, so what should set this apart from the rest of the crowd?
Just my two cents. I'd love to see this turn into something spectacular.

So would I. To one poster on this thread, I am just a person with computer skills who just got interested in Android two days ago. However, I do have plans for this rom, something that may or may not be possible. Any developer who is interested in the concept please pm me, and tell me if I am dreaming things up that are impossible or not.
EDIT: Okay, I guess its not that top secret, post ideas here too, if you like. My idea is to create a donut rom with the speed and stability of Android 1.6 on the G1, but with the ability to run 2.1 3d apps natively. Essentially, take what cyanogen has done with his ROMs to a whole new level. Impossible? Probably. Opinions, people who actually have experience with Android?

I guess it is, i mean donut stock is perfect, but again no need to theme it with what u like, leave it stock and give the link and option to theme it, I love stock donut ROms
From the department of stabbing in the dark, it sounds like your Google apps aren't signed with the right keys. I believe they need to be signed with the same keys as the rest of the /system/app apps you build off the source. Swim through Cyanogen's Twitter posts as I believe he's answered this there before (or just try resigning them and see if it works.)
To the Author:
Good job on your first build. Keep up the hard work. It sounds to me like you might not have added the GApps after you compiled it from kernel, but I could be wrong as I haven't flashed it. But don't lose hope, you'll get it.
To The Other Users:
I'm a bit disappointed in some of the replies I've been reading. It seems like a lot of you only really care about how this rom effects you, rather than how it effects the author in general. You don't build giant empire over night, but it does show that he put a lot of effort into the build. If you don't like it, don't use it, but don't make remarks that bring the developer down.

This Rom is using supper d's kernel and build for now, and is heavily optimized. We took the fastest Roms made for 32b(the g1, and the mytouch 3g for people who didnt know that) and combined them together to make this Rom. domenuk the creator of blue magic, xillius200 the creator of OpenRemix, and my self first time Dev decided to bring a extremely fast, and stable Rom to the community, and this is what we came up with.. hope you like it
This version introduces something fresh and new. I think and hope it works.
after some weeks every rom tends to get slower, even if you uninstall all your apps. what often helps is clearing all that google cache stuff.
this rom does this on boot
I am quite shure it will be included in most of the roms anytime soon... but for now this makes that rom the fastest avaliable
(Plus they will hopefully have my name somewhere in the credits )
Also zipaligning everything on boot. no longer neede for apps built with sdk 1.6 but.. you never know... Thanks to wesGarner for that script
The Idea is based on a time when it bothered me that my phone was soo lame, and on cachemate from market.
If you want all your caches cleared (Literally all... I think it clears hundrets of apps), buy it. Also If you want to donate, buy this app instead
Also Using Meltus Equalizer lib. hope it works
And Stuff from fasttest, csdi, blue magic, and cyan. (Credits )
Other stuff that's new: JIT Dalvik enabled by default.

Taking something, adding something, improving something... that's esier than actually building a rom from scratch/source - but it has to been done anyway.
I guess most people don't have time for creating an own theme, implementing everything and so on.
with many different packages, there is a huge variety.
Why should the same work be done over and over again by everybody?
You can just find one that suits you best.
You don't have to flash them, if you want to do all this stuff on your own
Eclair is still not superior to donut imho. Still waiting for an official magic 32b build.

Btw: [email protected] has an own kernel that seems a lot faster (slower than superD with ramhack... but without ramhack...), so it's more than that...

I give you HyperCSDI, The ultimate SuperCSDI.
This rom was posted on a smaller forum some days ago... and has reached over 9000 downloads. So its time to post it on a big forum like xda...
its superfast and supersmexy!
It's based on an unreleased version of Superatmel's SuperCSDI v5. Most of the issues of the beta have been fixed, what leaves is a superawesome rom.
SupSetup has been removed on this (We decided it caused issues), and some useful apps have been added. Also HTC Music and some stuff (I promise no warez like all the other roms)...
It's designed with Stock Donut designed so i won't include screenshots.
Plus you can't take a screenshot of something the speed of light (I'm cerial, this is the fasest rom evarz, it makes SuperD look stupid)...
Metamorph will only work on this as it is the rom everyone will soon be using, I need to get in contact with Stericson to ensure this.

As am I, I remember the last time a rom was out out that sounded like this. It was Android 1.0 with a few edits to be 2.1.....

That's how I feel....
I should download it and check the update-script to make sure it's not going to just format system and data and be done... that would be bad.

update-script looks good. Has brut maps, htc ime, better terminal, Solo, teeter, astro, astrid.
I will flash as soon as my battery charges a little.
finally booted...took like 10 mins or so..but yea its fast very very fast...just to many preinstalled apps..but its nice

I only mention because he was going around bragging about being 12 and 14 too. He acted more like he was 6 though and look what happened. Thanks for the post but I can't use it on my MyTouch 1.2. Oh well.
