Is it possible to format my phone?

Hi,
I'm looking into buying an Asus P535 phone, but the only place it is available is Hong Kong. However I have been told the phone might not actually have an English OS installed.
I was interested in finding out how easy it would be just to install a new English OS for the phone? Do I have to obtain this from Asus themselves or can I just install a generic phone OS that is English?

No such thing as 'generic phone OS'. All windows mobile ROMs (that's what they are called and its a bit of long story why) are specifically tailored for the devices.
I am not sure if there is an English ROM for 535 but there was a discussion on this here so please use the search.
Also check the Asus site.

I have looked around and found a few questions regarding the English ROM but no definative answers. I suppose in itself that could be an answer.
I'm going to get the white version so I'm gonna have to buy from HK anyway, but if theres no English ROM then there is no way I am gonna be able to use it. I cant even find an email address to be able to ask Asus if one is available or when one will be available. If anyone can help me then I would be grateful.

I have bought 2 Asus P535 (1 white and 1 Dark Grey) in Singapore.
Both of them is in English. Here's my headache : I cant read chinese sms (it show's squares...)
If you dun require to read chinese or type chinese should not be a problem.

Greek Windows

Hello Guys i wonder if someone knows a way to translate my windows which are in english to greek!i bought my mda vario 3(kaiser) from uk and i live in Greece..So if someone knows a way to make my windows in Greek language and the slide keyboard too plz give a link or a little help here!ty

Site search using Google. Search term "kaiser Greek". Read up on the threads that show in the search results, and you will find what you are looking for.

No, unfortunatelly no WM6 greek ROM for the Kaiser (except for the official of ACE Hellas, ofcourse, which is IMEI locked and no use for devices sold outside greece)!
I am willing to pay and so many other greek users, but so far we haven't found a good cooker to set up one for us

Yep, i was the one who tried this ROM first, before it went public ([email protected]), so no use for us with Kaizer...

dualsim adapter?

is there any dualsim adapter for the htc touch pro?
i bought one on ebay ... but it was broken i think ... it worked not with my nokia and my touch pro ....
so i want to know, is there any dualsim adapter for the touch pro?

PS: sorry for my bad english

i had one running on my tp, but the prob is that it always changes the sim card after SR ... at least i took it out, for it often happens that i was on the wrong card without recognizing it...

Anybody bought a Korean i8000 Omnia 2?

I would really be grateful if someone could answer this question for me. The only i8000 I can buy in China at this time is 'assembled in Korea'. So I would be greatful if anyone with a Korean bought i8000 can answer the following question for me.
If you go to Start-->Settings-->General Settings-->Change Language, what languages are listed? Is English one of the listed languages?

yess it has english(uk) no Chinese though also listed french,italian,german,russian,norwegian,dutch,czech,greek,spanish,portuguese,finnish,danish,polish,swedish,mine is made in korea,with singapore rom,, its weird there is no asian language

[Q] how to find the model of my iphone clone

I'm new and forgive me if I'm wrong de forum topic
I bought a chinese mobile and did not arrive on the model chosen, but another.
I would like to find out the model to see if you can update the firmware.
I can explain what I have to look in the phone to understand the pattern and eventually find an update to remove the menus in Chinese?
I am attaching a picture
from what I understand has a Qualcomm MSM7227 processor with 2.2.1 android and interface OS apple
can you help me understand if I can update the phone with Android version 2.3 or later?

Do you have more infos ?
There is a mark/info on the cover, on the battery, ...?

With hardware specification you give, i think it's maybe the GooApple G22 (but with clone it's a bit dfficult because many model exist...), and as is an androphone, you can normally install clockwork mod recovery and flash it to android 3.2 (as i've read for the G22 model).
But before doing anything, be sure what hardware you have exactly otherwise you may brick you phone !!

Sorry but there is too much models with this specifications ... a lot use the ARMv6 ... and there is no relevant infos on your pics ... nothing found about freesoft21.
When you buy it, wich name have the phone ?? (they have always a name).

Unfortunately, where I had ordered a phone model has seen fit to send me another model and then disappeared.
I find it unusable as a phone
What can I do? you have other suggestions?

Can you check this video and follow it, let me know if you arrive to activate english.
If your menu is not the same, try to do that :
Type this : *#0044# then press SEND button
This must Set Language to English

but I wanted to do is to upgrade to version 2.3 of Android perhaps with a clean version without Chinese writing.
but what are the constraints to update with an updated version of Android?

me 2, at least i got the code to set phone to English language

still not able to understand what kind of phone is.
could be a G22 but I'm not sure
I would try to do a backup and try updating.
give me some instructions on what to do?

I know it would be alot of work and research, but you could go to YouTube and watch all the different videos on all the iphone clones and try to see which one your phone looks and operates like. Could be a shot in the dark or it could tell you what you have. Best of luck.
