here are some vga themes that i made and have been using for some time...

You might wan't to consider pokeing around on this site: www.pocketpcthemes.com they must have nearly a million themes my now.

It's quite easy to make your own themes using McDebs or Thememaker X.. I usually just do my own themes when I want a theme with my girl's picture on it..and if I want something else.. this site already has everything.

at the expense of sounding boastful, most of the themes i came across the web (apart from a couple which were part of a theme suite) were...let us say the last option in this thread's poll.
not to sound disrespectful to any one but dude i am not intrested in some semi naked obese ugly female staring at me when i turn on my pda.
some people might say that my themes are crap, but hey i like them..and i wanted to share them with you.

Dude, is it just me or they they f*** up the visibility of text? I m still on wm5(universal) and take a look at how the contacts or any PIM app is getting displayed. This is NOT happening with any other theme

Changing Duttys picture on boot?

I have searched splash screen on forums and really haven't come up with much. Is their a way to change the screen that dutty uses for his own picture with his name on it?

change your desired picture name to welcomehead.96 and drag it into the Windows folder on your phone.
make sure its 240X320

I did bro, I can't understand how they explained it. Renaming the file to welcomehead.96 doesnt work, the other one still stays their its a .png image, the file i renamed welcome head.96 is a jpeg does it have to be a .png image?

The file is write protected how do I do it?

so to save on all the threads like this one. when the issue comes up add it to the wiki. may make life a bit easier for the newest members.

Dutty also needs to know their is a white square to the left of the windows logo that is very annoying, I filled it in with black but that is very unnprofessional to miss that.

Hey let me know when you make a ROM so I can rip the S*%T out of it OK.
If you don't like change to another one...there are numerous other ones to try...ain't nobody holding a gun to your head.
...and to critique a welcome screen which is probably one the easiest things to change show's real lack of knowledge and plain stupidity on your part.
So please keep your lame opinions to yourself....

It shows amatuerism on his part to not have the welcome screen corrected, I am using his new 6.1 version from feb 20th, it has white dot upper left hand corner that I had to take MY time and fix. I took the time to download his ROM I expect something perfect.

Umm...did you pay for this ROM?
Did you have a special request for this ROM. Nobody else seems to have this problem with there phone as there are over 320 page with no issues like this. Maybe check your own phone and make sure there is nothing wrong with it. I'm sorry you had to waste YOUR worthless time to fix this insignificant problem. You probably see the welcome screen for what like 30 seconds...I didn't know you were that critical of such a small thing.

Just please next time post this in Dutty's thread...that was all I was trying to say in first place. I wipe my hand of this.
Oh and BTW Dutty didn't make the welcome screen somebody else did...so make sure you know what your talking about before you criticize somebody. Amateur. Oh btw amatuerism is spelled amateurism.

Dutty takes his personal time to package together an operating system and standard package of software that is well integrated and operates considerably better than the standard package provided with the phone, and you have the gall to say this s**t?
Since you obviously don't have a clue, this one is on me -- No non-trivial software is free of bugs. Dutty does this by himself, and he will make mistakes. Pay attention to the things that work so much better than what you had instead of nit-picking.
To paraphrase ATW- Put up, or shut up. Let's see what you have to offer to the community other than non-constructive criticism.

I don't know why you are attacking me guys I am just pointing out some constructive thing for Dutty to replace, nothing is wrong with my screen, I have installed it and hard reset, their is a white dot on his welcome screen that I fixed with putting a black small square over and looks perfect now. Maybe everyone was busy kissing his ass in the thread and not telling him what need corrected so his ROM could be perfect.
His ROM works very fast and I like it, I am not critizising the OS or anything like that.

I don't know about any "ass kissing" in Dutty's thread because I see well deserved compliments on his hard work that he shares with the community. I do see an ass in this thread and it's not Dutty's. To criticize Dutty for not being professional for an insignificant white dot on a screen he didn't make is beyond asinine. Offer constructive critique but don't be a jackass about trivial matters when he provides us with great ROMs he makes on his free time.

Home Screen Wallpaper Res

Is it just me or the home screen wallpaper resolution sucks. is there a fix for that?
90% of the wallpapers i set look like they are zoomed in and don't look sharp, but the same wallpapers i set in the lock screen look great.

Your right. Any wallpaper you set will appear blurred or the resolution is reduced. There is a fix(a tutorial) for it here somewhere but unfortunatley i can not remember where Sorry. Just have an depth look around the forum and your bound to come across it. Sorry couldnt be much of an help.

You need to install HQ Wallpaper Patch v1.22
Then use HDWalls to create cabs as the patch above disables the set wallpaper in the menu and the sense settings

Yeah; the 'problem' you guys are complaining about is HTC software. This has absolutely nothing to do with Microsoft. As to HTC 'stepping up and taking responsibility', they created their software to work a certain way. There may even be a reason for it. The iPhone always has crappy wallpapers because its hardware is limited to a 400*320 resolution (if I remember correctly), but no one complains about that because ... well, because most people just can't tell the difference. Not XDA users of course. That's why we are all on here, right?
But anyway, my point is that just because something doesn't work the way you want it to doesn't mean it's broken and that someone should take responsibility for fixing it. It means it doesn't work the way you want it to, and that's what's so great about this community - there are a ton of developers that want things to work differently, and so they work on it - often times for free - without having to delay the release of a phone or otherwise impacting a business' success. There is more to running a successful business than just producing 'perfect' products (again, look at Apple as an example of that).
The sad nature of a market that moves so quickly is that every generation is a little bit better than the one before, and if you are going to live on the bleeding edge you are just going to have to deal with things not always working exactly the way you want them to.

Yes, and HTC is "responsible" for Sense that is the graphical layer on top of Windows Mobile 6.5.

hello guys, i did the search but not a lot was thrown up so im asking here. im looking for blue people and internet tab borders. iv tried one set (diniks i think) but found the glass look was too much and washed out my images too much. thanks for any help......

hi there. those were the ones i tried before (just couldnt remember). i really like the colours but wish it was just on the actual name/box section. the glass look is too strong on the images and turns my friends/internet images almost white. thanks though mate.......
edit: gonna try djcedric's again, maybe i was being too fussy last time........
edit: yeah i was right, far too washed out. the blue box looks awesome but the images look nasty. one half of my friends face looks normal, the other half white....wish i could do this sort of thing lol.....
edit: might have found something in diniks thread.....
edit: ok, i now have blue people and internet borders with normal looking images. thanks for the heads up and sorry for all the edits....

Hello Friends,
since every once in a while there are confusions about how to properly work with Softbar files and how to make some oneself, I thought I make a quick video on how to work with these files and in general a little bit about cfc_gui and how to make simple CABs.
I am very sorry for the poor voice quality, but I dont really know a good video capturing program. If anyone of you does, please share that knowledge I might be reworking those videos, but I think it will surfice for the time being
