Does anyone have the history eraser app?...I stumbled onto it yesterday in the android market. Rooted my Evo today, and I cannot find that app anywhere. Did some searching online, got the QR code to a link to the app in the market, and it seems they pulled it. Hoping someone had a zip of it, so I could install it manually.

HistoryEraser (should be able to find it on the market) is great.
Can erase Market History, Call Log, Contacts (favorites), Standard Browser, Youtube Search History, GoogleMap search history and SearcH Shortcuts.
Using it on my unrooted N1 and its amazing..
Yes I know its amazing, thus why Im looking for it. I searched and searched the market and Im pretty sure they pulled the app. Also the link didn't work

I came across the thread in the evo shift forums and it enables EMOJI in your stock font without downloading go sms or anything else all you really need is this app and go keyboard <-see it? Its only in black and white and its amazing.

Got this working on my phone, but my question is the people I send this to need this app also? I sent a test to my wife's EVO and only shows a square. So everyone I know needs to have this app? I tried it on facebook and it does nothing.

It does work on Facebook in the messages, just not the status.

I'm rooted. I guess I was hoping it would just show up on others :fingers-crossed: without them having to install the app. Anyways, I was using it Facebook messenger so it's good there:good:.

I hope not to have the wrong section, but frankly I consider this more of a trick that programming something.
Let me explain my problem.
I tried in every way to the root to my phone, but to no avail.
Basically I wanted to run the root simply to uninstall Whatsapp (which is a native application and it does not work because it was too dated).
Once you have uninstalled that version, I would have installed a new one.
Being that I can not update the version that is on, I wanted to ask if there was a way to change, starting from the installation file name
the app. The idea is to show the system with a different app and then install two WhatsApp that difference in name only and folders process.
A minimum of programming experience I have it even if not directly in Android environment
I hope I was clear enough.
Try to have different signatures in whatsapp.

I have this for youtube 2 youtube installed at the same time.

Does anyone know how to remove the magnifying glass on the top left of the homescreen on a Tab2?
It's used for Google Search, I already disabled the apk but the magifier stays on the same place with no purpose.

I have the exact same problem too.
I have removed Google Search via RootAppDelete. Yet the old-google search magnifier icon remains.
Even when I re-install Google Search Apk, it simply duplicates instead using back old magnifier glass.
Anyone has any idea how to delete this? (any specific rooted sys apk that is causing it?)

Plenty of baked-in TW features have been hacked, modded and changed for other Samsung devices so there's no reason why this should be too much of a problem, it just takes someone with enough time, motivation and knowledge to do it (I lack all 3!).

i solved mine when i uninstalled "photo editor" which i installed recently. whew!
Everything seems to be fine installing it to my computer but when I run the program, it gives me an error that doesn't make sense I emailed the developer already but hoping someone here has some insight and a possible solution for my problem. Wanting to root my phone again but i do not want to lose any of my app data and various music on my phone,, contacts,texts, pictures and contacts are all backed up on my verizon cloud Any tips or points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I got it figured out !
Anyone in the same situation what i did was used a program ( a pc download ) and an android app. The site I got it from called it Carbon, however when you download both program and app it is called "helium".
It was made by Koushik Dutta, who has also developed ClockworkMod Recovery, ROM Manager, and a recent Superuser application. I am sure most of you know those apps and his name.
Literally took less than 3 mins to back up all of my app data.
Highly recommended for anyone not wanting to lose data before they root.
Any other files I just used es File Explorer it's free on playstore though they may have a paid version as well but the free one works just fine { at least to serve my purpose}.
Hope this can help at least one other person.
