So when we root our phones we lose timescape, so whats a good substitute for it then? Cause to be honest that was kinda cool, I guess I took it for granted.

It's just a zip. Push it to /data/local/bootanimation.zip or /system/media/bootanimation.zip

Some dev in the market turned the nexus boot animation into a lwp, if you were to email him with a link to this thread, then he/she might be able to do it. It's a free app and in the top free section, but my phone is being tortured with experiments, so I can't check the name right now.

It works fine, and the size settings work, it's just skips slightly at the end, but it still works for it's comedic value.
Hey, Vibrant user here. I found out that the Captivate has a live wallpaper called Galaxy. Unfortunately, this isn't on the Vibrant. Does anyone know of any way I could get this wallpaper on my phone?

I can upload the .apk that contains all of the live wallpapers the Captivate comes with if that would help.

I think if you were to do this, you would need to uninstall your live wallpapers app. I'm not entirely sure how safe that is, but I can still provide you with the apk. I'm uploading it now. I'll update once it's done.

Tried some in the past, but they seemed to slow the phone down. The more i look though, that seems to be the only real alternative. So disappointing.

I can't for the life of me find it though. I haven't installed any new apps recently that I didn't already have on my previous phone.
Hi all. I decided to install an rather new android Oreo theme for emui the other day and since then, emoji have been showing as placeholders instead of icons in the Xbox app and also when I tap a letter while using fleksy keyboard(it is supposed to show the letter being pressed, not a big vibrant emoji). I don't know if this is coincidence but it's extremely odd. I've cleared cache and did what I could but nothing has worked to return these things to normal, it's obviously not a serious problem (other than looking tacky) but I am curious to find out what caused this. My device is an frd-L04 on stock B388
I believe it's a problem with the theme. Try another theme and see if you still get it.
