N1 Desktop Dock as BT Audio Receiver? - Nexus One Accessories

Hi,
For those lucky enough to own the N1 Desktop Dock, can it be used as a bluetooth audio receiver for other Bluetooth audio device? For instance, pairing it with iPad/iPhone to play mp3, can you please confirm.
cheers

sorry but no

Diamond as a bluetooth stereo headset

Is there a way to use Diamond as a bluetooth stereo headset? When I watch movies using a projector I’d like to transfer the audio stream from my laptop via bluetooth to Diamond and listen to it using its headset. But I can’t make it work. It works perfectly in the opposite direction so I can transfer music stream from Diamond to the laptop and able to hear it through its speakers. So both devices support A2DP profile.
Is there any solution?

music - bluetooth to stereo possible?

just as the title says, is it possible to send music via bt to my stereo just like when i make or recieve calls?
not that i'd use this as a sole way to listen to music in my car, but i just started wondering if it were possible, and if so, how?
It's possible, but you have to make sure that your Stereo has the bluetooth profile for A2DP. It's the same pairing process, but instead of only streaming call audio it will stream any other audio too.
Also, the stereo will have a headphone icon under bluetooth preferences.
Hope this helps.
I do that all the time in my car. The sound quality is not as good as hooking up a cable through th aux jack. The nav direction also come through my car stereo.
Ah yes, I forgot about A2DP being needed... That would make my situation impossible... I'll just have to get a 3.5 mm to RCA plug for aux... Thanks guys.

I had some trouble with this, but the key for me was making my Pioneer head unit "forget" my previous phone. Now it works great!
Actually there is a way to stream music wirelessly to your car stereo: mini FM transmitters. Quite cheap on ebay. I wouldn't bet on audio quality tho.

Applications that can redirect the all sounds through the car handsfree

Hello. I looking for an application that would redirect all sounds to me through the handsfree in the car to the speakers, I mean as MP3, navigation and so on. Do you know anything about this? Thank you

I use a Parrot MKi9000 for this. But if your car already has the Bluetooth setup, it also has to support the audio media profile. If it doesn't, there's nothing you can do to get all your audio to run through it. If it does have the audio media profile, you can simply tell your bluetooth settings to output media audio to your car's bluetooth.
It's been my experience that the majority of stock vehicle head decks that have bluetooth for the phone do not support the audio media profile and just support the phone hands free profile.

Depends on the model of your stereo in your vehicle. I've got a Ford Puma and it only has a CD player. After buying this http://www.thompsonsltd.co.uk/Conne...7-02/CTVFOX001.7/OEM-Head-Unit-Interface/Ford I can now plug in any mp3/phone/ipod via the 3.5mm jack.
This is what i use just plug into car cigarette outlet and turn to match station and it works. Simple

[Q] Stream Music from Xoom Tablet to Home Stereo

I wanted to see what you recommend I can use to Stream Music wirelessly from my Xoom Tablet to my Home Stereo. Looking to use my xoom music player and something that will not degrade sound quality. Bluetooth sounds like the best option i think. Any ideas?

I believe that the standard charging dock has audio out...I haven't hooked it up to external speakers but I believe that StrifeSoldierIIV said he does that and it works well.

I use LG BT headset...I guess that BT speakers would be great.
I have used the standard dock for a wired connection and bluetooth to both a Motorola S9 headset and a Parrot Party BT Speaker. The Xoom has performed pretty good all around. The range of BT I have gotten with my Parrot Party is impressive (30'-40' through multiple floors). I do not have any experience with a stand-alone BT receiver to connect to a home stereo, but a google search came up with several options.
Whatever you get please report back with your experience.

HuckFinn and okantomi. Thank you for your help. What do you think about these two products?
1. Logitech Wireless Speaker Adapter for Bluetooth Audio Devices $40. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wire...UTF8&coliid=ILO9AKPF7AF0R&colid=1YCH0XH8HNDCR
2. Belkin F8Z492-P Bluetooth Music Receiver $32 http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-F8Z492-P-Bluetooth-Music-Receiver/dp/B0047T79VS/ref=pd_cp_e_2
If you have some sort of DLNA player, I would use that. An app like UPnPlay works quite well. I still use my 6 year old Roku soundbridge for its mp3 decoding capabilities, range is then limited by wifi range rather than bluetooth. I can sit on the deck and play my mp3 collection off a nas, through the soundbridge and HT amp and over my outdoor speakers all controlled through the xoom. Or just fire the music off the local device to the soundbridge.

Either one should work but the Logitech looks more suited for a home stereo.

[Q] tomtom and Music through Bluetooth

Hi all
Having got a new HTC ONE I have decided to use my sensation as a mapping/gps device.
I have got tomtom for android on it and in th epast I have just used the phones internal speaker.
My car stereo has a aux in jack so I was wondering if it is possible to get a Bluetooth adaptor to play the audio into the car stereo
But ( there always has to be a but) can I stream music at the same time?
ideally I would like the tomtom to cut out the music but I don't think it out puts the correct profile but even if it just plays over the top that could work.
is this possible or if not would it work via a cabled connection?
thanks
