[ROM]Supersonic 1.32.651.6 Rooted and Signed (.zip update) - EVO 4G Android Development

Noticed the demand for a good old stock 1.32.651.6 build for our phones. I'm not big on stripping Sense UI and the other reasons I purchased this HTC phone over the upcoming Droid X.
This is as I stated completed stock only with the addition of superuser, it is in a .zip format and signed for your protection of giving yourself headaches with your phone in the event of a bad download . Hopefully I can get active in the Evo scene a bit (coming from a Motorola Droid).

Thank you, i needed this.

HTC Desire Restore restore to telstra(AU) RUU Im panicing

Hi, i got my phone about a week ago and decided to root it today because i wanted to force all applications to the SD card since the Internal memory is so small. I now decided that i hate what i have done and am panicing and just want to go back to the stock ROM
I am with telstra Australia
Device is HTC Desire,
I Have no idea what i am doing at all please help.
I found a Flasher for telstra htc desire, is this safe
android(.)modaco.com/content/htc-desire-desire-modaco-com/308058/stock-htc-desire-roms/
Have a look at the Wiki, you may find a stock rom, or even the Desire Forum
Grab the the stock RUU from the Desire Android Development section, in the "Everything Desire is here" sticky.
Swyped from my HTC Desire running LeeDROID T-Mod 2.2e with Tapatalk.
Telstra RUU
is there any telstra ruu that can be downloaded that arent corrupt?
Hi I am in the same boot as the original poster, my phone was happily working with an older version of Cyanogen, then recently upgraded it to CM 6.1.1 which worked until that night I put it on charged, it started to just reboot and was very hot.
I can only just about get it to go after leaving the battery out for 5-10 mins. Even then it will only stay operational till I plug the power in again.
Even with out the power now it is randomly rebooting. By rebooting it just shows the original vendors splash screen and reboots every 5 seconds.
So my question is do I just install the standard rom I downloaded from this site. Only thing its an exe not a zip which is what I am use to?
You can download the official Telstra AU RUU from the HTC support site.
I can't post a working link because this is my first post, but this is the URI:
/au/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=312&cat=2&dl_id=1048
If this says its not applicable for your device, they may have released a newer version, so go looking.

This appears to only let you download for devices that were on 2.1 originally, not the latest 2.2 devices.

[Q] HTC Aria (Japan)

Hi All,
My first post here, be gentle with me.
I am a recent sort-of convert to android from iOS (though, still own the iPhone 4). I decided to go with the HTC Aria here in Japan which is being sold by EMOBILE.
From looking around the web and reading the forum I came to learn that there are two versions of the Aria, AT&T and Asia. If I am not mistaken, they are different by the radio frequencies they are using. If that is the case, it seems that the Japanese version of the HTC Aria is another model that popped out to the world not too long ago as mine supports HSPA/W-CDMA: 1,700MHz.
Does that make sense? Is it really a new revision of the Aria?
I am very much interested in rooting my device and already have the "reflash" utility installed on my MacBook, but wanted to confirm whether I can safely go ahead and do that.
Additionally, How can I go back to stock ROM if I need warranty services from EMOBILE? I could not find the image of the ROM neither on EMOBILE site nor HTC (Japan, Taiwan and International).
Last but not least, if it is indeed a new model and one of the devs need any information from my phone, please let me know, I will be more than happy to help and provide info!
Thanks,
Oren.
Regardless of the radio you should be able to root your phone and try to load one of the custom ROMs on here. Unless you are already running 2.2, you should be able to use the root methods in this forum. If you are running 2.2 already you may have to do some research on rooting your phone since the stock 2.2 takes away the ability to root using the methods in this forum. Once you have rooted and loaded a custom recovery make sure you do a full backup (Nandroid backup if you use Clockworkmod) before trying the new ROM. Either way...have fun and enjoy your Aria.
Thanks for your reply. I guess I am out of luck then at the moment. My device indeed came with Stock 2.2, HBOOT-1.02.0000 (not sure if it makes a difference or not though).
I tried googling but most of the post sends me to the UNREVOKE method.
By the way, for some reason when I try to enter to the recovery menu (Volume Down + Power) I get a red triangle with an exclamation mark and an image of a phone at the background. I cant get out of that menu. I was trying to back up my existing ROM to the SD (Though, I think I read that this requires a root permissions.. ah well).
If you have HBOOT 1.0+, you are out of luck at the moment for rooting and running custom recovery.
I am sure at some point the puzzle of the new HBOOT will be solved.
quick question. Is the antenna built into the battery cover in the Japanese Aria?
I'm still wondering why so many of the replacement battery cover's do not include an antenna as the US/AT&T Aria uses an antenna that is embedded in the Battery cover.
To identify the antenna, find the two gold color prongs inside the batter cover when you take it off.
Hi I'm Japan HTC Aria user.
The attached files are battery cover(antenna)'s pictures.
(Baseband Version:47.60.35.21U_77.14.35.11)
Please check it.
By the way, I tried Unrevoked(3.3.1) method.
But It is not working yet.
Do you have any update or solution?

According to the Unrevoked changelog page (http://unrevoked.com/rootwiki/doku.php/public/unrevoked3), the HTC Wildfire and Aria/Gratia with Froyo 2.2 are still not working. HTC changed the HBOOT version on these phones so that the older root exploit no longer works.
I never noticed until reading these posts but I lose service when I remove the battery cover. Lmao! Lame.

[Q] Evo 4G, I turned S-on again and It won't let me update the new gingerbread

I just learned how to root my phone, I am by no means an expert. I currently have Sprint Lovers running. I took all the steps to retunr my phone to the s-on mode, and it is, but when I try to upload the HTC upgrade it tells me the download is currepted. Can someone help me please
Going to 2.3
Hey there. I got the 2.3 OTA update today as well. I did a rom back and then tried doing a regular update, which gets you the (!) Triangle followed by the recovery rom. I've thought about turning S-on and updating, but then I'd have to wait for uRevoke to find an exploit in HTC's 2.3 rom to get root back, right?
I don't see any other threads about this on here, but the update just came out like...yesterday so I guess it's expected.
I'm debating weather to just drop HTC's rom and go for a custom rom like cyanogen. I know I'd have to backup/restore all the apps/contacts/mms stuff I care about, but it'd be nice to not have all the Sprint/HTC junk on my phone. I do kinda like SenseUI though.
I also was running myms 2.2 and I downloaded the pcmag316 file from the "How to unroot in 2 steps" and when I check for new firmware I don't see the gingerbreak update.
my sboot is back on.

[ruu] [stock] att 2.20 ota

Here is the RUU for the OTA ATT 2.20 update.
Warning if you use this RUU you cannot go back to a lower RUU ( 1.85, etc ) or lower firmware as the HbOOTS are different! This is more for us that have already done the update. This will help us get back to stock if something goes foul.
There is no benefit for anyone to run this RUU as of now until root, etc is sorted out. Like I said for now mainly for us that already updated.
Thanks to scrolser for the link and DvineLord for initial find
Issues:*
1. If you update you will get a newer hboot, you may not be able to use other older ruu's such as 1.85, etc. Recommend immediately making a backup once rooted, unlocked, etc.*
2. Updating results in boot.IMG from custom roms not being flashed again. Have to flash the boot.IMG of custom Rom in fastboot as before.*
3. Radio.img will not flash on new hboot either must be done in fastboot same as boot.img.
HTC One X for AT&T ROM Update | 8.02.2012
Starting August 2nd 2012, HTC will be rolling out a system update for the HTC One X.
This update will only be available for AT&T HTC One X customers and will be sent to the device over the air. Once the release is ready, users will receive a notification on their device advising them of this update and provide instructions to receive and install it. Users can proactively check for this update by going to Home > All Apps > Settings > AT&T Software Update > Check for updates.
As an alternative solution, the system update can be downloaded to a PC and manually applied to the device. See the section at the bottom of these instructions for more information.
This system update includes:
New features:
NFC Capabilities
Additional content added to HTC Hub
Third party music applications accessible from the Car application.
Fixes/Updates:
Wi-Fi connectivity fixes
Improved Bluetooth automobile compatibility
3G/4G connectivity improvements
HTC Sense fixes
Contacts synchronization fix
Network time fix (clock displays 30 minutes off)
WARNING: During the upgrade process the device will reboot multiple times and show software upgrade screens. Do not remove the battery as this will stop the update and your device may be rendered inoperable!
Getting Started
Before you proceed with the update, make sure you have done the following:
Set aside approximately 20 minutes to allow the device to update, possibly longer based on Wi-Fi network speed
Connect the device to a charger
Ensure the battery is charged to at least 30%
Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network to download the software file.
Installation instructions
To manually perform the update, follow these steps below:
From the Home screen, tap All apps and then tap Settings.
Tap AT&T Software Update.
Tap Check for updates.
Tap OK to download the update.
After you select your method of download, you will be prompted with a Wi-Fi or Data fee warning message. If this is acceptable, tap OK to start the upgrade process.
Status of the download can be viewed in the Notifications pull down.
Once the download is complete, the user will be prompted to install from the Notifications pull down. Tap the System update to begin the upgrade process.
Tap OK to begin the update process to software version 2.20.502.7.
Device will reboot and begin installation. Users will not be able to use their device during the installation process (approximately 10 minutes).
System update complete. Tap OK to continue
Manual system update instructions:
If you are outside of AT&T/Wi-Fi coverage, or the update is not found, you may perform a manual system update.
Performing the system update manually will delete all information from the device. Ensure all information is backed up before proceeding. See the Help & How To section of this website for more information on backing up your device contents.
Performing the ROM Update:
Download and save the HTC One X™ for AT&T ROM update to your PC.
Connect your device to your PC via the supplied USB cable. NOTE: You must have HTC Sync Manager installed on your PC in order to run the update.
NOTE: If you do not have HTC Sync Manager installed already, you may download the software from http://www.htc.com/us/support/.
Ensure the device is properly recognized on the PC, then locate the HTC One X™ for AT&T ROM Update that you downloaded. Double-click on the file to launch the system update wizard.
Follow all of the system update wizard instructions shown on your PC.
Once the update is complete, click Finish in the Wizard and the device will reboot.

Well, it's not that bad really. As long as you have supercid you can unlock your bootloader again, install twrp recovery, and go back to flashing custom roms. You simply lose the ability to flash kernels within recovery, instead having to revert to doing it in fastboot. Honestly it isn't that much of an inconvenience.

yea thats fine if you know how, but why make everyones life harder when this upgrade is older then the asia 2.23.
its just going to make a lot of un needed posts to developers asking why the rom dont boot and so on. Run this ruu and it will cause more problems then anyone needs. As well as set you back from any S-Off development.
But that is my warning. Just saying, i cant see it from my house, my phone flashes
kernels just fine and always will. One Stop flashing.
I just hope you dev guys are extra super careful with your phones. Get a replacement with 2.20 on it and you're screwed.

I prefer ATT based things, not racist lol just prefer the ATT stuff it works better for me as I'm in America. I would like to think root, mount points, etc will be available so everyone can benefit. This is important because of your statement. Anyone needing a new phone now for some reason be it broken, screen etc will get this build. Not 1.85 anymore. I definitely don't think it needs to be backseated just because asia is 2.23. Us in America will be screwed as new phones ship with 2.20 not 2.23. I have faith lol who knows new hboot may have a flaw that finally allows s off.

To be honest I jumped on the update. It fixed a lot of the issues I had with 4.0.3 sense. I still have my unlock and I'm rooted. These times are like mini vacations from flashing. I also happen to have confidence in you devs, and also know that sooner or later (probably later) HTC will release source for this updated kernel and the dev will kick off again.
Although I don't envy you devs having to deal with people who don't read.
Thanks eraste for posting this as well as the guide for updating safely.

Well I'm in america too! but i thought a warning would be nice, But what do i know
i think his warning was sufficient enough. he stated no benefits of flashing. unless you already did it prior. plus there are other threads who state warnings as well. people dont care or dont read and will flash anyway
not taking sides i see what people do here that go against there better judgments or even when told not too

[Completed] Rooting EVO 4G with sabotaged tools/websites

Hi folks --
I am with FreedomPop (aka. FP). FP is forcibly retiring devices that can't run on ICS or
better-- including all unmodified EVO 4Gs. More specifically, the Play Store is refusing to
download FP's lastest app -- the one that provides its VOIP behaviors -- to Gingerbread
devices. However, one user posted to FP's forum as follows: "I updated The HTC EVO 4g rom to
4.0.4 sense. The phones are working perfectly, " with only the loss of WiMax (which is being
discontinued) I don't know what this user means by "perfectly", but I would like to find
out.
I started with my EVO 4G running Android 2.3.5, hboot 2.18, build 5.07.651.6, and radio
2.15.00.01.15. Guided by instructions from HTCEvoHacks (which use Captain Throwback's
Method), I down-dated my phone to Android 2.3.3, hboot 2.16, build 4.24.651.1, and radio
2.15.00.05.02. But I wasn't able to complete the down-dating / re-rooting process because
Sprint/HTC/Google have sabotaged Revolutionary.io. In fact, my research shows that they have
disabled/taken-over all unlock-code-computing tools/websites other than HTCdev. And
unfortunately, I don't believe that HTCdev's code will work for hboot 2.16. In short, I
think that I just shot myself in the face.
So here are my goals. I want to end up running ICS or better -- preferably with a fully
functional camera. Losing 4G is okay. I want to be permanently rooted so that I can run
Nandroid and Titanium backups. Can someone please point me in the right direction? If I end
up having to re-update to hboot 2.18, should I do that by performing a "firmware update" or
an "HTC software update"?
I'm running on WinXp Sp3.
