I tried downloading it and it keeps crashing. Hopefully someone is able to port this and the multitouch kb

I pulled the LatinIME.apk out of there, but I couldn't get it to install straight up.

the drivers have to work with our hardware. visualizationwallpapers and visualization are just for lwp.

You cant install it straight up. its a system app. you have to with adb or root explorer from phone.

I flashed the signed zip and now my phone wont boot. Stuck at the white HTC EVO 4G screen.

those apps are made to run with droid hardware which is very different. we would need proper drivers for our devices to work with them...no loss, we got the good stuff. i scoured the whole dump. im looking to see how the system looks and deciding if its worth making a rom out of. chocmatic and myself might give it a go for practice.Sorry, i dont know enough to make drivers from source yet.

lemme take two drivers out real quick. they might not work with our device. nandroid back. im not sure if its just your setup yet. but ill try this. gimme a few to reup.

yes. i was trying to make it easy. dl it. open the zip and then move the kb and its lib files to their corresponding folders on your phone. im reupping now w/o the two questionable drivers

Wasn't there already one on the market? I don't think we needed root to get the flip clock, it's just an app.
There's one on the market but it's not nearly as nice as the HTC version, i.e. doesn't have weather. I'd be interested in trying out the one with animations as well. Anybody know where to find it?

Thats strange, I swore I saw that animated clock on my Sprint hero when I first got it (but removed it because I dont want a clock on my homepage). I guess it was just the other animated dial clock then?

i have no idea im a total noob on all this it took me two and a half days to fig out how to root and flash the rom but im trying to get the hang of this

It's very possible it requires full-blown Sense, too, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

No problem. Sometimes apk's have to be pushed via adb into system/app. Since the X is not rooted it may be a while until thats possible.

It's just a zip. Push it to /data/local/bootanimation.zip or /system/media/bootanimation.zip

Some dev in the market turned the nexus boot animation into a lwp, if you were to email him with a link to this thread, then he/she might be able to do it. It's a free app and in the top free section, but my phone is being tortured with experiments, so I can't check the name right now.

It works fine, and the size settings work, it's just skips slightly at the end, but it still works for it's comedic value.

I think if you were to do this, you would need to uninstall your live wallpapers app. I'm not entirely sure how safe that is, but I can still provide you with the apk. I'm uploading it now. I'll update once it's done.

I don't know about anyone else, but my version of Swype ran out and I couldn't use it anymore. Found this. It says it's for the EVO but it works fine on my DInc so far. Download the apk, put on SD card, open it with a file manager (I used ASTRO) and just hit upgrade. At first it said I couldn't install that apk, but I waited 10 seconds and it worked. I hit upgrade and it works flawlessly so far. Also, it's version 1.61

I do not see a mic choice, it looks just like the older version I had that expired.
I used the one for the EVO and it works. I'm going to try the other one.
Thanks sooo much, it was hard to find a working version of it. At least harder than i thought it would be. on another note if your used to a different version swype this one may look a bit different (the layout and font of the keys) but its not a big deal at all. thanks again!!

This is a massive fail for me. Says it is configured for another device and doesn't let my swype.
Try this one. It is 1.56 so not the latest but it has the mic and is skinned like the built in HTC keyboard
And it will not expire

Are you saying you get the expired message when you install this version that I posted?
Are you installing it over an existing install? If so uninstall the other one and install this one.

anybody with a working swype with the red theme? i really liked that one.
I like the default, but would really like to try out some mod version, red/black seemed like a favorite with everyone. If anyone has a link, post it up.
The .apk contains a folder with all the images of the themed keyboards. Tried replacing the images and re-zipping and it won't install.
I think the zip needs to be signed or something.
It has to be as easy as swapping the images.
Any help?
