General Mobile waiting for developers applications
this market show only free applications for now. but then will be release paid applications also.
when the developers upload their application this site then General Mobile content filtering team check all apps and release step by step.
If you have any question please freely contact with me from here or [email protected]
Thanks
whats the purpose of this?
because google not support all countries for android applications. so main purpose support developers for the future.
General Mobile selling their android OS device in Turkey, USA, European countries, some Asia countries.
so its like a market that does not filter for region? What about os?
this is android OS market and now just release. we need more application from developers.

no no, i meant non version descriminant, like 2.2 vs 2.1
it will be. system will check device SW version and then show suitable apps.
still under developing. I think developers can write application for which SW version for the first step
how about froyo?!!!
we're fighting for a ROM because GM -again- releases a phone and leaves it to die.
technical support sucks, software support sucks, this is the only device GM could make a breakthrough and despite all the petitions we're ignored. If DSTL1 supports Froyo, we must have that. At this point the double sim "advantage" works against us because Yuhua does not get paid. sorry but you'd better start spilling the money or GM will collapse.
Tried this. Need to register to use.
Promising interface but very few apps at the moment.

Hi,
Just have a noob Android user question.
Like for winmo devices, there are a lot of sites where we get commercial games and apps crakced and for free.
Is something like this possible for Android as well?
P.S. I don't mean anything wrong, but just something came to my mind. I still support the android app developers by buying the apps.
Sure
Android is a bit of a unique community.
Yes, you'll find them. You can find packages of 100's of them on your usual torrent sites, newsgroups, etc.
And sometimes, as a member of this community, you'll find developers post their .apk on the board, simply to retrieve feedback.
But we want Android developers to thrive - therefore we buy our apps if we can.
And please do so as well.
Thanks for the response.
good to know!
Hello, I am in the mood to do some testing with upcoming / existing applications and how they perform and operate on the Motorola Xoom specifically.
I will install your app, perform required testing and upload video response so that you as a developer can see how the software is really performing on an actual device and not in an emulator.
Feel free to link your apps market link, or PM me about testing.
I will do this type of testing as a gift to the community and its developers.
Bring it on!

If you want app testing you better off going to the Xoom thread. This is a good place for it also.
I largely consider the Xoom "app thread" a place where Xoom consumers and owners are going to go look for apps that are already working or reported as working with their Xoom.
I want to spread a wide net to catch developers who may not be thinking of looking in that specific forum because after all, they would have to look in the app forum of every single android device.
Instead, I want developers who happen to care that their app looks right cross-device to notice and maybe help them update their apps

We (Tweakker) have launched an Android application that will help users worldwide set up their internet (APN) settings.. We hope this forum could be interested in testing this new application. Even though your internet is working on your phone you can still try the app and help us improve it. For more details on the application and to download download it directly from the Android market.. just search for Tweakker.
Our mission is to solve the internet settings problems that users experience once and for all.
We will be following this thread to get feedback and provide support to any that run into problems.

Just being the devils advocate here..
How does the application attain the end objective? A person would need this app the most at a time when their phone is not able to connect to the internet due to an APN issue. At such a time how will the user connect to the market to download this app?
Latching to a WiFi connection is not possible at all times.
I recommend that you release the app's apk that the user can download and keep handy.
Hi delltech
Good point. However everyone downloading the app has access to wifi - they can access the Android Market.. therefor the use-case has been designed around this premise. This enables us to constantly update the database that the application uses.
We are thinking about other setups and value this feedback!!
Alternative distribution channel, apart from Market, can also be included at a later stage.
Any more feedback on the functioning of the app, delltech. others?
Best regards
Sune - Tweakker
Although the app is located in the market, on my current phone, the Motorola Photon 4G world phone, the market refuses to let me pay for and download the app. Is there a way to request a certain Photon be added to your list of models so that the market recognize the phone.
Thanks
This was their response to my questions related to the Viewsonic G-Tablet:
----------------------------------------
Hi,
Thank you for your reply. After further research, according to our records, the device that you are using is not supported for use with Android Market at this time.
The Android operating system is open source, which means that any device manufacturer is free to use Android on its devices. However, Android Market is an application created by Google that is only made available to devices that pass Google’s compatibility requirements. In addition, manufacturers must obtain a license from Google in order to install Android Market on their devices.
For more information about the Android Compatibility Program, please visit source.android.com/compatibility/index.html
If you have any further questions, I recommend contacting the manufacturer of your device directly.
If I can assist you further, please let me know.
Regards,
Jenna
The Android Market Team
What did you ask and did you really expect support on an unsupported device?
Sorta like taking a netbook with snow leopard to the genius bar and asking for help with iTunes.

Wow.. you found this site, you found this forum, and you missed the million different posts for Market Fix, Full Android Market, etc...
You need to do some work to get the market working on the GTab. Out of the box it's not supported. It's likely never going to be officially supported unless by some miracle we get a honeycomb update from Viewsonic.
In the meantime, it is pretty easy to get access. Just don't ask Google for help doing it.
And, there's always the Amazon market, which works just swell...
