I'm using this ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=714184
(Geo411m's FRF91 Stock, Deodexed, rooted, busybox, battery %, TB alert/wake/unlock)
I'm trying to find a glass notification bar theme that will work with this. I've tried a couple that both resulted in boot loops (like the ones linked for FRF91 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=700703 ). Any help is appreciated.
Side note: can I make a semi-transparent image in photoshop with the same res as the bar this one uses and use Ninja Morph to apply it? If you've done that successfully, let me know. I'll probably nandroid and try it later anyway.
Thanks!
Hate to bump my own thread, but I'm really trying to find a solution. Every theme I've used for this ROM with a clear/glass bar doesn't work.
Try my Metamorphs for CM6!
tried searching around, but didnt find anything besides on how to apply them to SkyRaider

Just install Real Signal from the market or do what I did and install Signal Status as it give you a more meaningful display in -dBm rather than bars.
Download the following 6bars file and flash with clockworks, don't wipe and always do a backup. As with any changes to the framework file system, it will take up to 10 min to complete the restart after installing. This will flash the services.jar from the Nils' Business Sense v3.1 rom, all credit for the work goes to NilsP and all other dev that contributed to his rom.
I have only installed this on vert. 3.1 and looked to make sure that it will boot and appear to be a fully working 6 bar signal meter. No other testing has been done. If anyone runs into a problem DON'T bother NilsP with question, post them here and I will look into it.
If you need to get back to the stock virt. 3.1 services.jar file then download and flash the StockRestore file.
Is this based on the latest framework?

NilsP has it listed under his ROM information that is is from the official 2.2+, so I would say yes it is from the latest framework. I have yet to decompile it down to smali files and compare it with the latest virt. 3.1 files, but will get around to it later today.

There have been no changes to services.jar from 3.1 to 3.2. Anything that works on 3.1 will work on 3.2.
Thanks, it works
Yup; got it going on Virtuous 3.2 without a problem. Thanks.

Yes I have it working on Virt 3.2 also.
Anyway to get this on CM6.1?
This also works on the stock rom. Deodexed of course
Apologies, as I'm really new at peaking inside framework files...
I installed the 6 bars on Virtuous 3.2 no problem... looks great.
Now I've started using Ninjamorph to update the framework-res.apk and the icons in there (ripped some of the icons out of the conservative icon framework file and replaced).
But the framework file still has the 4 bar icon series... where are the six bar icons saved? I'd like to do the same thing... find a 6 bar color icon series for the signal meter, and replace this white one.

midNIGHT ROM v2.4 EXT4 (DUAL) NEW KERNEL Support Froyo DK28 w/clockwork redirect
Change Log:
Brand New Dual Boot Kernel. This means you can now install this ROM with or without EXT4 installed. If you want the benefit of EXT4 then it needs to be installed prior. If your among those who don't then just flash this rom as usual. This ROM will work on the Stock RFS format phones as well. This is only possible because of Dameon87's AMAZING WORK. I have tested this and it works very well.
Also to avoid further confusion I have reverted the MMS apps icon back to the green icon. I keep geting requests for the stock app. This is the stock app. It just has the 5mb increase. Thats it.
Guys I have the EXT4 install down to a science now. This is very simple and you DON'T need abd...There are a few ways floating around but this is bt far the most noob friendly.... So here you go.
How to install EXT4 on a rooted DK28 ROM in 3 steps…….
Things you will need to do prior:
You need to pre-root with the one click root w/ clockwork redirect
Copy the midNIGHT v2.4 ROM over to your SD card. Make sure you have the OneClickEXT4.v1.3 folder on your desktop. The files are found here
3 EASY STEPS
1) Boot into clock work and flash the midnight v2.4 ROM
2) Once completed back out to the main menu in clockwork and scroll down to advanced and select “reboot Recovery” and plug the usb cable into the phone.
3) Once your back into the “New” Recovery v2.5.1.2 run the “install-ext4” found inside the OneClickEXT4.v1.3 folder (That’s on your computer) and wait 3-5 minutes for it to complete then reflash the midNIGHT ROM
That’s it. You can download Quadrant from the market. Run it and see your new score.
Before you doubt this procedure try it for yourself. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best.
Let me explain why this works. The prepare zip is the means by which you install the new recovery. That's all it does. The new recovery is already included in my rom. Flashing the KERN-DK28EXT4 is doing just that flashing the kernel. My rom already has that included as well. So by flashing the ROM first you have installed the Recovery(prepared zip) and the new kernel (KERN-DK28EXT4) all in one motion. Then all that's left is to plug in and run the install bat. It's really mush easier this way. I was aiming to make it accessible to more people with different experience levels.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instructions:
1) You MUST ODIN THE DK28 modem (if you already haven't)
2) Boot into clockwork
3) WIPE DATA/Cache/Dalvik x3
4) Flash midNIGHT v2.0.6 zip
5) DO NOT WIPE DATA AGAIN (You can wipe the caches but NOT DATA). Wiping data again will remove ALL APPS IN THE DATA FOLDER
6) First boot might take a few minutes
7) Enjoy

No problem. I am in love with the custom theme on here. I was coming from working on the gingerbread port from the Nexus S and my wifi broke when flashing back to DK28 with odin, it would shut off and reboot, so I finally just flashed this ROM again and what do you know, wifi AND gps are both working perfectly. Nice job on the ROM, I really do appreciate your work. (;

Most recent mod on post #7
you can easily add a font (also battery and so on) to a ROM (tested only on WB's CM6 V06, but I think it should work for other ones too) by yourself:
1. just upload the framework-res.apk (lokated in system/framework) from your rom to http://uot.dakra.lt/ (under kitchen/file upload)
2. make the changes you want to have in the tab "kitchen"
3. dl the output file
4. afterwards flash it via xrecovery.
Note:
if that doesn't work for you,
1. manually mount data and and system in partition tools
2. afterwards flash the zip.
This ist the way, i, simacid and playgunsta "made" the new battery icons and font for WB's CM6.
I suggest we put our modded files here so we can all post our creations and so everyone can choose by himself what he likes, without searching the whole threats.
Note:
When making a post, please add for which rom it is and which version of it. also post a screenshot when possible and add what you have modded.
Update: seek4 just confirmed that everything is working fine for him except the power toggle widgets in notification area, so keep going and don't hesitate to post your creations.
Update2: kevjef420 noted, that if you use Amend scripting in the tab "file upload", everything works fine without mounting system and data manually. Thanks for that.
regards
So, ill start this with my "mod":
Rom: Cyanogenmod 6.1.3 V06 by Wolfbreak (don't use on other roms)
Mod: only the Battery icon (without percent, so you can choose the color with Cyanogenmod settings)
Edit: also works on hotfix V06.1 by WB (because there are no changes in framework)
Screenshot: in attachmend
I tried to use this source 3 days ago. Uploaded my framework-res.apk from WB rom, changed only battery icons, flashed my cooked framework-res.apk using xRec, nothing changed. I don't know what I did wrong, but its seems not working for me.
But I didn't do this
1. manually mount data and and system in partition tools

4. press back button
5. flash the zip file as usual
it should work then, worked for my gf's phone also
I also didn't have anything change the first time. What you need to do is in the screen where you upload your framework on the lefthand side there is 3 options that you can select. By default it has the first and last option selected but you need to select the second and third not the first one. I don't remember what they are right now since I am not near my computer.
This worked for me. I created a nice theme I will upload it here latter when I get a chance.

So are you saying that the transparency setting works with CM6 roms?
cause it says in the kitchen that it is for gingerbread roms only.
oh and this is the option that I checked that got my mod to work without having to make any other changes. (second option)
"Amend scripting. Old scripting, compatible with old recoveries. Use this if you having problem with flashing (no changes, error 0) or have not HTC Desire phone"
I have been using this kitchen for a few weeks now with no problems since I have started checking this option in the file upload tab.
thanks for sharing it with everyone.

No. What I did is under kitchen/status bar i ticked the background only, set the color to be fully black and choosen the transparency to be 75%. As you can see in my screenshot, it worked. Don't tick the option "Enable transparency in statusbar".

Nope, 2.1 fw-res is too big to upload. There is a size limit on Uot. You could make one for a different Rom then dig out the icons. It's a pain but it works.

hi,
thanks so much for this thread, it is awesome and has really helped me out!!
can someone just answer a few little things for me....
i am running wolfbreaks 6.1.3 v07, and i have tried to load a few different boot animations using the kitchen, but it never works, it just says sony erricsson?? i checked in my system/media, and there is a bootanimation.zip - do i need to specifically install it or should it automatically have done that when i installed the kitchen zip? (i had to mount system and data in xrecovery, if that means anything?)
also, is there a way similar to kitchen that i can edit the little icons that appear next to SHUT DOWN, REBOOT, AIRPLANE MODE etc? atm mine are grey, but i seen on the kitchen that they can be coloured? is the reason that they are grey due to my framework-res settings? and if so, is there a way i can change it?
thanks in advance!

[THEME][EP1W & EP3HA] Greys and Blacks Gingerbread v1.0.4 & v1.1 (Updated 10/9/11) )
This is more or less the same concept as the Froyo theme I made which can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...5#post14791965. I've taken the stock theme and reworked it to be more pleasing to me.
**UPDATE**
If you are using Humble Rom, in order to install this theme you must first mount /system in recovery, then flash it.
I've updated the theme for the new EP3HA leak. As of this release, the gummy team has not updated their rom with the EP3HA base, so I don't know if it'll work with that or not. Right now I am running on the stock deodexed with imoseyon's v.3.0.1 kernel and all is running fine. The updated theme does not include the added reboot options (recovery and download) as I got those directly from gummy, and am not capable of reworking the code myself for it. Here is the download link for the updated theme.

V1.1.1 - I changed the colors of the text selectors to grey from their original blue. This is a very minor update (three images were changed)

For those of you who use the stock clock app, like myself, here that is themed also.

**End of Update (All following information is still relevant to EP1W and Gummy 2.0rc1.5)**
I am currently running GummyCharged CBE 2.0RC1.5 with imoseyon's v2.0.6 lean kernel. This theme has been tested on stock, Gummy, and Humble 3.0 with success on each of them. All of the apks are from the stock EP1W release that I deodexed and then themed. I also removed the location icon.
Themed:
Framework-res.apk
twframework-res.apk
systemui.apk
phone.apk
dialertabactivity.apk
mms.apk
contacts.apk
settings.apk
**OPTIONAL**
I've taken Framework.jar and android.policy.jar from Gummy 2.0 GBE. These files will add a "Recovery" and a "Download" selection to your reboot options.

Credits
Thanks to the Gummy team, I used a couple of images from Gummy 2.0 GBE, as well as the reboot options package.
Thanks to SparkyXI, anoninja118, glsteve, and cujo6801 for testing out the theme for me.

So this weekend I decided to make the move over to EP1W and get to work on my greys and blacks theme. I make the theme basically for myself, as it has the style that I personally prefer. I had made a theme originally for Froyo which can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...5#post14791965 I am considering updating that to work with Gummy 2.0, but that is not definite yet.
At the moment, I am running the debloated EP1W that I deodexed myself, using imoseyon's v2.0.6 lean kernel. This means I could use some people to test it for me on the couple of Roms that are out there. Anyone who uses
1. imnuts TW4 Themed custom kernel and Rom
2. GummyCharged GBE
3. Any other setup and would like to give it a shot
and would like to test out my theme, send me a PM and I'll send you a link to it. It is a CWM flashable zip.
And just for an explanation of why I'm on stock deodexed, I wanted to start with the original files from stock in order to prevent any inadvertent kanging from anyone else. Ultimately I will probably switch over to a rom, most likely gummy.

I just went through mms again and got a couple of things I overlooked the first time through. About to give it a go now. Will probably have a new version later this evening.

more than happy to try that as well....
I've updated the OP with the download link for the the latest version of the theme, as well as a few other packages.
V1.0.4 is up now. It changes the dropdown notifications backgrounds and text colors to what looks better in my opinion.
very nice, like cujo I prefer dark colors... works fine on Gummy GBE and looks great
blazing through on my 4G Droid Charge
I've updated to Gummy 2.0RC1.5 and it still works no problem.
Come on people sound off on this 1 it's pretty good...

If you use the deodexed version that I released here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1260214 then yes you can. If you are on the version straight from TBH then no you cannot. You MUST be deodexed to use themes
*EDIT* I know most people like the debloated stock over the bloated version. I'm going to deodex the debloated version and release it later today.
*EDIT* I've released it in another thread
I'm running GummyCharged 1.5 RC, and couldn't install this theme.
Flashed it in recovery, reboot, then nothing changed.
I've downloaded the files from different links too.
I've flashed 3 times now.

A few other people have said this also. I've told them all to try clearing cache and dalvik cache and then flash the theme. None of them have responded as to whether or not this solved the issue. So that is my suggestion, let me know if it works for you or not. (This will not erase any data)
