Sense 2.5 shortcut request - General Questions and Answers

Hi all,
I used to have an application called Elecont launcher which I used for launching my applications from Second Today. Now I have Sense 2.5 with Cookies Home Tab which I love.
I want to add three quick links which aren't really shortcuts, but instead displays information on free ram, free memory on device and on SD card. I have circled this from Elecont Launcher.
Is it possible to have/create quick links like this on Sense 2.5?

Moved as not software release.

Icons to customise your WM device

Hello
I have an HTC Touch, and I'm not crazy about the famous cube, as it does not allow you to create enough shortcuts to launch all my apps. So I am not using the cube, but rather a launcher (iLauncher from SBSH as it happens) to give a nice look and feel to my phone. For this I have created a set of 50 icons, size 64*64 in TGA format (as it allows for transparency), feel free to use them and complete the collection if you want (a blank icon called "backbroud.tga" has been included for this).
It should work with any launcher that supports TGA icons in 64*64. the reason I'm using iLauncher is because it has a nice jump to tab option that allows to go from one tab to the other by simply clicking on an icon, thus allowing for an infinite number of pages.

Questions about Launcher Apps - Help Please

Hi
Just moved from WM to Android and it's a bit of a learning curve
i am using Launcher Pro at the moment
I wanted to use a launcher that ran alongside the standard HTC Launcher so i could use it for apps only
So i have all of the widgets on the HTC Desire launcher and all of my Apps on Launcher Pro.
So i have a couple of questions if you dont mind
I have tried Helix Launcher and a couple of others and i cant seem to run them seperate to the standard launcher i can only select them from the homescreen Selector App.
But Launcher Pro runs as a separate app which is what i want
So my questions are
1.should all launchers run as standalone am i doing something wrong ?
if not which ones do ?
2. Are there any launchers that provide shortcuts to pages that i could put on the first page ? (EG so tap a shortcut to go to page 7 and call the shortcut Games)
Also on a slightly different topic is it just me or do most widgets seem to waste a lot of space ?
on my Touch HD the homescreen was full but on the Desire when adding widgets there seems to be a lot of space unused between them which is a shame as i would love my tasks on there too but cant use the space.
Same with the HTC notes widget, It's a 4x4 widget but only looks 4x3 in terms of space they could have made it bigger and so more could be fitted in - end of Rant
Thanks in advance

Click to collapse
yes they should run stand alone, all are different apps.
you should be able to make a folder for "Games" instead of having a shortcut just have the folder. I use Launcher Pro Beta. I like it. Its smooth and has a lot of little cool features.

vlauncher the best app organizer on Android

vLauncher is a free home screen app that lets you flick through pages of apps on home screen , manage apps more easily,iPhone style.
VLauncher - (for devices running 2.0 or above) Very nice launcher app developed over at voyagers. Much like Home Launcer but very fast ,snappy and stable.

Can you post screenshots of the launcher? I think we'd all like to have an idea of how it looks before we download it.
screen shots
attach the screenshots.
So what, exactly, is special about this launcher?
I like the concept. Great for users migrating from the iPhone, or those that want a simple interface. I downloaded it from the market last week, and have been playing around with it.
It places all your applications on a series of home (application) screens when first installed. You are then able to add up to 3 widget screens, which are placed to the left of the application screens. You can re-arrange your applications by grouping them into folders. These folders as well as your applications can be placed anywhere other than the widget screens, in any order. It doesn't have an apps drawer and so your wallpaper is visible at all times.
heyy dude!! I think itz too simple... i think an app drawer wid 3D wd b gud... N sum custom icons wid gud transition effects wd b gr8!!
Very nice.
Having an iPhone, this looks and feel just like it. Keep up the good work.

I have to attach screenshots in attachment.
THank you.
Thanks for the clues.
Can someone change the layout to fit the Wildfire's screen?
Meh. The ui is boring and ugly lol.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
I tried vlauncher the other day, from the Market. What it does, it does well. I would like to see it do more. Here are my two suggestions:
1. Allow shortcuts and bookmarks on the Widget pages. In the standard Android launcher, is very convenient to get to battery use or a weather bookmark with one press of an icon on the screen.
2. In your settings, have an entry for the column and row sizes. On the 7 inch screen of my Nook Color I would like more than 4 columns and 4 rows of icons on each screen.
If you add these two features I think I could use vlauncher every day.

any simple quick launcher?

Sense and CHT are great, no doubt.
But I just wonder if there's any simple, pure quick launcher out there similar to CHT quick launcher or the iLauncher of old time where I can put links on home screen to programs, toggle switches and files (not possible in CHT?)
The reason is I want my Leo runs at max possible speed without Sense slowing it down even minimally. I hope a simple quick launcher would be less memory intensive.

App Request.. anybody think they can do it?

Sense roms come with 3 workable rosie buttons. With Some rom's you have phone, apps and one assignable button(pre set for internet)
heres my request. The mappable rosie is only good for apps. Shortcuts can not work.
make and app that can covert shortcuts to assignable apps (to be used in rosie), or find a way to make shortcuts assignable to the rosie.
I have a folder program that once assigned to the spare rosie button, would allow unlimited apps / contacts or shortcuts (as the user sees fit) all in a scrollable, pop up window.
Result would be a plain home screen. Yes, I could put my shortcut on the screen... just dont like one there!
Thats it... With the assignable rosie to shortcut, would allow a simple clean look!
#Note. I'm sure I'm not alone here with wanting this! I use launcherPro and have used ADW ex, for the main reason of this app request. Many apps or shortcuts right at your finger tips. I love sense, but hate the rosie (hense thats why thousands use adw or lp)
make this app, put in on the market and make Money!!
