I need some help with my Invisible Shield. - Desire Accessories

Approximately 24-hours ago, I applied the Invisible Shield to the screen on my HTC Desire. I followed the instructions, and when I was finished, I did not touch it for 24-hours. When I turned it on today, I noticed a big air bubble on the front of the screen. It felt like there was liquid inside. I knew this bubble was to big to disappear on its own. Thus, I used the ZAGG-credit-card-thingy to try to push the bubble away. It did not work, and here's how the front of my HTC Desire looks now:
(Can not post links, but you know what to do)
i45.tinypic.com/2m3r2ip.jpg
The bubbles are very noticeable, and I feel them when I put my fingers over them. They also display rainbow colors when the background is white.
What should I do? I'm prepared to take the Invisible Shield off and throw it away, but then I feel my HTC Desire's screen is very vulnerable to scratches etc. Is it still possible to reapply the Invisible Shield, even though 24-hours have passed? Have anyone been in the same situation as me? If so, what did you do?

You can reapply the Invisible Shield. Just carefully remove it, it wont leave any marks. Clean the display good and reapply the screen protector

I have thrown the solution and the squeegee away.. Also, in ZAGG's FAQ, it states "The invisibleSHIELD is completely removable, but cannot be reapplied once it has been taken off.".
But have any one really successfully reapplied the Invisible Shield, even 24-hours after the Invisible Shield first was applied?

You may be right, although previously I thought that you can reapply it as often as you want. That seems to not be the case.

Have you registered your invisible shield with Zagg yet? If yes then they will give you a replacment for cost of shipping. They were pretty good with me. Then you can keep this one on till the replacment comes.

u acn try to remove it and reapply it, u dont really need the solution, its a water based solvent, so by just lightly spraying some water on the adhesive side u can try to re apply it.
i applied mine, did t twice, it is real pain to get it on properly, let alone perfectly. the shield got scratched after 3 days of regular usage. they replaced it for me for free.
and yeah, i do have the rainbow effect on totally white backgrounds, i guess it the matrix structure of the plastic shield.

Hi mate, I have the best skins ever version on mine, and it actually looked worse than that, had sooo many air bubbles etc under it and smudges. Anyway the solution they tell you to make is water and a bit of fairy liquid or similar cleaner.
I made it up, used it on my fingers as its meant to stop the oil etc from getting on the sticky side. Luckily my nails were a bit long so I was able to use that to lift a bit of the screen protector up. I then peeled the rest off slowly so that it did not stretch, kept putting more of the solution on my fingers and brushed the solution downwards on the protector as I wanted to remove those smudges I had [which you don't need to]. Then I was able to reapply it as before. When it was in place I used a credit card to remove as much of the water as possible. Left it for 10 minutes and kept repeating it. Now I have zero air bubbles or smudges underneath the screen protector and everything is great
Hope that helps.

Do Not Buy Invisible Shield !!

I feel like crying !! I applied the shield and after a while i knew the bubbles will not come out, I hadnt even finished applying it fully yet. After slowly pulling it off to my horror it looks like a very thin layer of the screen has come off in some places. Im totally gutted. The screen still works but it looks terrible especially after applying the normal ms protector as it exaggerates the screen difference. Im off to cry.
i have uploaded a pic with the martin shields on there now
You can see along the left edge and a small amount on the right edge
that's because you have dirt on it or you didn't apply it properly? i had a few bubbles but cleared the dirt off the screen with magic tape and reapplied (about 5 times) and eventually i got it perfect.
When you do it the right way there will be no bubbles. Its not the Shields fault but yours.
wait so what you guys are saying once its on you cant take it off. Listen, I took the shield off so it shouldnt take some screen layer off with it. ITS THE SHIELDS FAULT !. Its not effing super glue i applied i followed it to the letter. You should be able to take the stupid shield off safely without taking the screen with it.
BTW the screen was clean
Are you sure it took something of the screen? It looks like if it just some glue from the shield.
+1...
It's like a glue residue or something left from shield material...
Please check..
i have tried tp clean. im 99% sure its the screen. if it was glue it would have come off by now. im so gutted
Get in contact with the makers of InvicibleShield then, and see if you can make them take responsibility.

Of course not, it's not their friggin' fault he ripped his screen off by removing their product while it's not actually meant to be removed. If his Diamond would've been scratched after applying the Shield, sure, he could've let them take responsibility. On top of that, it still looks like its glue residue.
People need to stop suing everyone because they put their cat in the microwave, and start taking their own friggin' responsibility.
wow....
i just bought one of these... will be careful when i put it on...
omg... i just bought one of those too and its taken AGES to come in the mail. Anyone know something to becareful of when applying?
Ps.. the mirror china rubbish screen protector sucks. makes your screen and hence all your videos look like foil mtg cards.
...
After seeing ur picture, I believe it's the top layer of the screen itself coming off. It happened to me once when I tried to take it off my iphone, all the screening on the back came off with the shield.
I removed InvisibleShield from my Diamond yesterday without any problems. It is an excellent shield, but too sticky for me. Now I have Boxwave AntiGlare.

With this type of screen protector you need to warm it up a little bit to soften the adhesive before you remove it. Use a hair-dryer and warm it, don't heat it up. You don't need to do that with the regular stuff, use the sticky side of the tape to remove the protector.
I believe it's the top layer of the screen itself coming off too.. becos it happen on my diamond before but i did not apply any shield (was lucky to have 1 to 1 exchange tht time)
my was apply with martain field
Do belive that all mirror is applied with some thin layer of coat one

How about you read up first before you start mouthing off?
This is what Zag, the makers of InvisibleShield, state:
"It is so tough that we back it with a lifetime guarantee. So, if it ever does wear or scratch, we will replace it for free, for the life of your device. And if you ever need to remove the invisibleSHIELD, no problem; it comes off clean and leaves no sticky residue."
http://www.zagg.com
Indies Diamond was damaged due to the removal of InvisibleShield, so of course it is Zags responsibility, pure textbook. And lawsuit is only applicable if Zag refuse to accept responsibility.
EDIT:
It seems Zagg just changed their text on the website. However, in the FAQ:
"Q: Can the invisibleSHIELD™ be removed?
A: You can remove the invisibleSHIELD™ from your device by starting at a corner and peeling it back, like a sticker – only it doesn't leave a sticky residue. We recommend being slow and precise, particularly in sensitive areas. The invisibleSHIELD™ is completely removable, but cannot be reapplied once it has been taken off. Please contact our customer service department if you need to replace your invisibleSHIELD™."
Hi
Where would I go from here. Im so confused. I have emailed Zagg and wait for their reply
I've got mine on as it says, loving at the moment.
You just need to be careful and patient when you apply it.
Took me about an hour to apply it properly and over a few days the small bubbles will go away.

The Diamond screen-protector

Ok, i've had a problem with it, first i removed the protector that was as large as the device and made the screen very ugly, then i got the one from the box and putted it on, every air-bulb was gone when i kept rubbing etc.
1 stayed, under that bulb there was something white, i found out it was a 'piece' of dust.
It was kind of annoying so i removed the screen-protector, now when im trying to put it on i get lots of 'dust-bubbles',
Anyone has an idea of how to do it or should i just leave my diamond without the screen protector?
Protection
Personally i prefer to have a screenprotecter on my device. I can recommend invisible shield. its very durable and will not be scratched. check it out on www.zagg.com
If you remove the protector, then there will alway be dust next time, because the dust get stuck to the protector glue. (I have also remove mine several times)
I have tried zagg, but I can't recommend it. It is a little sticky (which they also says on their homepage) and I don't like that. The floating feeling is gone. It is also not that invisible.
I have selected to buy a new original protector, and will use that.
The trick to get it on without bobbles is to start on the long edge and then slowly add it. (Keep the 'paper' on as long a possible).

The original is washable. Wash it and dry it with a paper towel that sucks in the water bubbles, wipe dry and clean your screen and reapply it.
By the way, this goes to Accessories forum.

I bought invisible shield for mine, its pretty nice after say 4 days from install.
For first 2 days it might seem really bad but it gets much better.
I somehow scratched it without even noticing it, so I sent picture to zagg and they sent me new one. Even though scratch was very minor.

hi. this my first post on this web site
excuse me for my bad english
i have a diamond and i remove orginal screen protecter because i write sms with letter recorgnizer and the area that i write words on the screen become white and scratch. i remove orginal and buy a new one that for iphone. i cut it for my phone size and apply it. its sooo much stiky and i have a problem like orginal one.i wnat to remove it and when i do it a tiny layer of glue stand on my diamond screen. i can't clean it. and it give a bad scene to my diamond.
what's your idea. i give u a pichture from my diamond screen.
Perhaps you could use isopropyl alcohol, usually it will remove glue without damaging the plastics surface (in that case: your display). DON'T USE nail polish remover, acetone or even benzine, it will remove the glue too - but your display would look "milky". You can get isopropyl alcohol at the pharmacy.
Tell us if that helped you

I didn't get a screen protector with mine... I mean, I had a shipment protector with a little tab for peeling off, but nothing came with it for long term use. It's a Sprint, did they just not include one?
the exim screen protector is very good and smooth
I always use the Brando screenprotectors. See their online shop. They ship worldwide for only $ 3,00 shippingcosts.
It is very easy to install, easy to clean, 100% garanteed scratch free and very durable.

I've got a Sprint Diamond too, and didn't think I got a protector either, but it was in the separate bag that has the manuals. It should have come with one...Wish it woulda come with an extra one too, oh well.
I had the same problem with misalignment and dust bubbles with the HTC protector on my first few tries...i did however fix the problem...
Take the protector off and clean off the phone...use a microfiber cloth to get all the dust and oil off...after its super clean...take the protector and wash it off with some mild soap...rub the soap in with your fingers and get it clean. Be sure to note which side is down. After its clean, hold it around the edges and let the water bead off...i blew on the protector to get residual water off...some water is ok...actually helps with the install...the basically carefully apply it still holding the sides making sure not to leave finger prints. Start from the top and work your way down... i used a credit card pushed against the microfiber cloth to squeegie the protector down...be carefull with the few drops of water. After you have it down...there might be little bubbles or what looks like water spots where water is trapped under the screen...dont worry...just use your phone and leave it alone. Once it heats up from the excessive phone use it will start to dry up and the protector will come out very nice and smooth. Mine is flawless and i did the wash with soap apply and remove at least 3 or 4 times to get it right...Just be patient
I use screen protector from martinfields, what do you say about, anyone have one??
I think the best in market
My HTC one got a nasty scratch in it last week, so I ordered a Martin Fields.
It arrived this morning and I've got it on without any problems. So far I've noticed:
- It's not a perfect fit like the HTC one was. The hole for the speaker at the top is larger than the hole in the phone. It's not bad though.
- The visibility of the screen does seem better than the HTC protector, but I don't know if it's just the placebo effect of having a more expensive protector.
- It was _easy_ to put on, no bubbles at all
- The protector for the bottom buttons is awful. The circle is just the right size to completely hinder using the touch wheel and it's obvious that you've got a piece of plastic on there.
- It seems smoother than the original HTC one when using the stylus.
So far I'm impressed with it. I didn't bother with the camera hole or bottom hard buttons. The in box HTC one was fine for me, but when I got a scratch on it (my stylus somehow developed a sharp edge), it annoyed me.
I'm using the one supplied as standard with a uk CompactIV and it's great- you can hardly tell it's thereand the sensitivity seems fine.
I have 24 diamond screen protectors. Because i bought 24 diamonds and sold them all without screen protectors so i am sorted untill i buy another phone.
After using the martin fields one for a couple of days, I think it's great.
The screen looks much brighter and clearer through it (I thought the HTC one was great, but I do notice the difference). Plus the smoothness is brilliant, theres pretty much no friction for the stylus or fingers
where can i purchase the htc screen protector? the original that comes in the box...

AT&T Replace my Fuze because...

I was using my Fuze the other day, and was scrolling down a website with the stylus, when all of a sudden the god damn stylus scratched my screen. As you can imagine i was mortified and shocked. A big gash only a week into owning my beautiful new fuze. So i take it in and tell them what happened and they gladly replaced the phone. Nice people! Guess the 30 day period does cover scratches, if by stylus!
thats odd, glad they swapped it for you. was your stylus's point sharper then usual?
So....
It's a good thing to treat your new styli to a bit of emery cloth before you start playing.
Erm... The first thing I did when I got my fuze was throw on that screen protector. Would be foolish if ya didn't do that the second go round.

When you say "that" screen protector. Are you saying they provided one with the FUZE in the box? Or did you buy one separately?
Yes one does come inside the box.
I was applying my invisible shield today and a little bit of the solution got into the earpiece duct, about 10 minutes later my touch screen was no longer functional. I've already returned my phone and getting a new one Saturday. Be careful with your phones guys, a little liquid and its all over.
I love the included screen protector. I've used alot of protectors over the past decade and the stock one holds up better than most (especially for free). I still don't have so much as a blemish on it even with alot of active use and it traveling in my pocket (but no keys). And it's such a good fit that when people check out my phone they tell me that, "You really should get a screen protector before you get any scratches on the glass."
Joke's on them.
I never even looked in the bag with the quick start guide, sure enough a screen protector and another screen protector that comes on the phone with all the warnings on it.
Included protector
Does anyone know the manufacturer of the included protector?
I didn't get mine aligned properly, some dust started peeling it from the corner so I had to ditch it and got an invisible shield, but I liked the included one because until you get use to it, the invible shield takes some getting use to.
Just peel your included screen protector off, wash it with some soapy water, and reapply it to your screen again (while still damp, but not drippy wet). Smooth it out and gently move all the bubbles of water out to the edges of the screen, and voila.
It doesn't specifically use a tacky glue so you can reapply it again and again. I do the same trick on my DS for perfectly clear and aligned protection.
Same trick people that tinted my car windows used for getting the plastic onto glass.

i have a full adhesive tempered glass screen protector

So my idea worked and i now have a full adhesive screen protector. Covers from edge to edge and there is no halo effect. The protector is on good and does not peel/pop out. I am using a unicorn beetle pro full body case and no problems. Before the case would pop out the protector but not anymore.
What exactly was your idea?
How did you manage this? (For the people that haven't been keeping up with your posts, such as myself.)
Did you use LOCA or OCA film?
Sent from my Galaxy Note7 using Tapatalk
so much detail. so much wow. i wish there was more information, like, what you used, how you did it, instead of a brag post. thanks for the pictures though!
One of his older posts discussed using LOCA. If you use LOCA, how do you get it off if you ever want to remove the screen protector?
Yes I used LOCA glue. To take it off you just heat it. It should be easier to remove than when replacing the digitizer.
I got a couple air bubbles though but id rather have that than a scratched up screen lol
Interesting.... but more info on how to do it and what products to use would be great. Thanks OP.
I was just thinking about if this was a solution two days ago, but this is exciting news that its worked. My question is, is the LOCA a problem to handle, because i could see using too much might have some go into the speakers or just seep from the borders. when originally applied. and is there a way to make sure we don't get bubbles?

Yea i got a little on the speaker but you just have to be care full and as it seeps kut clean it with a rag. The good thing is that it wont dry until you put the black light on it. The part you have to be the most carefull with is the home button. Loca will make it sticky and a little harder to press. I also reccoment you get a protector that is completely clear as the one i got has black on the top and bottom and it prevents the black light from drying the glue under those areas. Clean the screen good. To avoid bubbles look at youtube and see how they apply it. Basically a stick figure but instead of a head it is a y shape. Carefully place the protector and let is slowly spread on its own. Once it stoos spreading then you could slowly press down on it and remove the remaining bubbles. I lined uo thw home and back buttons first and made sure the cut outs were aligned for the camera and sesors. Then i applied the black light on the bottom half furst so that it would align properly. I did this while pressing down on it because the air bubbles kept coming up. I also covered up the top half so that wouldnt dry up. Oncw i got the bottom i got rid of any air bubbles on the top half and did the same. After that i put the phone in a box., close it up, do a cut out for the black light to fit and let it sit for a couple minutes to dry more. Then i cleaned and dried the edges. Make sure not to leave too much of the loca in between the screen and protector so you wont get touch senaitivity issues. And do it where there is no dust. I oly got 1 small air bubble but some like white spots that appear to be dust. And again clean the speaker, home button, sensors, and camera before drying. You could also just scrape it off with a plastic blade that the loca came with. And make sure to use liquid version and not the film.

Anyone else try out the Delta Shield screen protector?

Got it in Amazon and giving it a try. Instillation was very easy, its a wet application. I will see what it looks like in 24-48 hours. Right now there seems to be some wetness underneath as you can tell when the screen is on. Hopefully it trys out and looks good.
When it dries out, could you take pictures with light on it? I'm interested in how smooth the surface is after it dries (i.e., how much orange peel effect).

ya I can try and do that. So far its not bad at all... Im actually impressed in how subtle it is at this point. Ive seen some look really bad... lol
It was very easy to install and align (not my first wet install), it did not stretch while installing and it covered the entire screen. One tricky part was the sides of the phone where the screen curves - I had to make sure it sticks as it dries.
I managed to get most of the moisture out while installing, so it was ready to go in the morning.
I was extremely surprised with the smooth feel of it after it was dry. Last time I used wet film (few years ago) it had "sticky" feeling and the finger dragged on it. But not with this one -- it's very smooth and I couldn't tell it was wet install.
If you use a case (I'm using Tudia), the case would push on the edges a bit, but not peel it off completely. Next I'm going to try one that's case friendly or maybe attempt to trim the 2nd delta shield.

ya it will be interesting to see if this ends up working with my case I have coming. I have the TUIDA SKN case coming. I may have to remove this first one I put on and put the 2nd on. I have about 3 spots where I think moisture is still there because it looks all sparkly in those spots.
I got the DeltaShield as well. It's a good screen protector. It does attract finger prints but I expected that. The wet apply is easy to do. It wouldn't work with my Incipio case. That pushes and wrinkles the edges (mostly at corners). I sort of expected that too. It does work well with the Tudia Low Profile Design (with the camera cutout). Company is good. The two I ordered had a crease in them and they are sending me new ones - no questions asked. Btw. It does show the orange peel pattern on a closer look.
Also ordered the Tudia SKN and wondering if that works.
So I just got my Tudia SKN case today, and I can confirm that it works perfectly with the DeltaShield screen protector! And the Tudia SKN is nice!
