Weird.
I'm running stock Froyo with pershoot's kernel. Didn't have a prob updating the app and running it.

To those of you that get reboots: the app is trying to install on the SD card, and since you probably didn't wipe when you installed Froyo, this doesn't work for you.
I'm just saying. I didn't wipe either and the Nexus was consistently rebooting on every "move to SD" attempt.
so what do we have to do to get it installed???

Although this is not the final build of Froyo for our Evo's im sure a lot of people would like to have this.
This rom is rooted, with busybox (thanks netarchy) and deodexed.
You will need to wipe all data and cache (including davlik) before flashing to ensure that there are no issues.
You will also need to flash the new radio and wimax update.
1st
reboot into recovery and wipe data/cache/davlik and flash the rom
Evo-Froyo-2.2-Rooted-Stock-3.26.651.3-Deodexed
when u see the home screen reboot into recovery
2nd
flash the radio update and reboot
Radio-2.15.00.07.28
again... when u see the home screen reboot into recovery
3rd
flash the Wimax update and reboot
Wimax26023
and that should do it.
have fun... and hopefully the final update for Froyo will come sooner than later.

I've been on this a couple hours and all seems stable and pretty darn zippy for stock sense. 40.3 liinpaq and 1140 quadrant. Tb restored fine and market issues seem to be gone.

no go on the wireless tethering... wireless_tether_2_0_5-pre4.apk 349 KB... no *2 issue can not stop wireless tether!!!! On not connecting can not turn off!!! Happen on both evo 2.2 roms with this app.

Everyone:.......... on the wireless tether issue...... go to Google and do a search for "wireless tether" its been fixed you need to down load the bata version 4. Mine is working on the Odexed version of this ROM.

No. I just installed the APK then went to whatismyflash.com and it matched with the new version.
It's still buggy, though. You can't pan around on a webpage if your finger is inside flash content, and when you zoom in or out flash content flickers. Also, you cant pinch to zoom in full screen.
DamageControl (3.1 I believe, eclair version) had flash 10.1 and none of these problems, not to mention it was faster.
Quick question, can this be updated to match the hulu hacked one some off us currently have running. I really would like to update, but know I will lose hulu...
Any info on an updated one floating around here on xda?

+1 yea mine says the same thing without having installed anything yet!! Is that the light version that came w/our EVO's?? So to all the people that have installed this on there EVO's.... what's the verdict, is it worth it?? Is it a big file btw? BTW thanks guys for posting the .apk for all of us who haven't been able to find it in the market!!

Hey I'm also on fresh 3.1.0.1.. you have to manually remove it via ROOT EXPLORER. Then REBOOT. Then install the APK that was posted here via mediafire.
I'm now on the latest flash. I noticed the last few numbers of the version are higher..so its definitely newer. I DID NOT find it on the market though.

You have 10.1 already because it comes pre-installed on Froyo. However our versions are still in Beta and this new update takes them out of Beta.

well within RE..i searched : " flash" it found it and I deleted the apk..then rebooted..
you have to tell RE to "mount as R/W ( read/ write) to be able to delete system apps.
so again, after you do that , you reboot and now you can simply install the new apk

Probably KD1 if you're not on it already.
Some people were getting delayed OTA updates, and even a few reports of delayed ODIN updates are coming in too.
If it's rooted, than you are able to receive OTA updates, as long as you HAVE NOT FROZEN OR REMOVED ANY STOCK APPLICATIONS.

I started a thread yesterday afternoon about this, it is an update for.offical KD1. Its not gingerbread. If you dont get the OTA update you can manually install through Kies, but be advised you will lose root, but thats a one click fix anyway....

I remember deleting FOTA and uninstalling/freezing apps that I wasn't using but I don't know what else can be done.... or what I need to unfreeze to get this update?
Can someone walk me thru the process ... i know someone said kies and then re-root?

I've got the OTA update completed but what's with this Doubletwist thingy with Airsync thingy. I remember seeing a post that somebody left saying their phone got laggy after the update and it does seemed little laggy after the update. But got the OTA without any issue even though my phone is rooted.

those came stock on my phone. maybe you had an even older software.
doubletwist is a music app that syncs with iTunes etc.
airtwist is a companion software to doubletwist allowing you to sync the music OTA on your own wifi network.
get rid of em if you don't use them.
I tried updating but it said it failed. Possibly because I am already on KD1...

Easy, forget OTA update and flash KD1 through odin. That way, you do not run into any issues being rooted and have frozen/deleted Bloatware.
if your rooted and dont care about the updates del the device managment ,, i did that and it fixed the error but you cant use t mobile up dates no more

First install the app, then start it if your are on 4G it might say something related to WIFI just say OK, then it will show you which leaks are available. Dowload the one you want, it will save it on ur SD Card under TEAMBLACKHAT folder, transfer it to your PC and then ODIN it. For got to mention you will have to unzip it through 7zip before ODINING it also the bloated one gave me a message saying MD5 is broken, debloated works great for me though.

Tried downloading through phone and said download unsuccessful. says the content is not supported by the phone
Market Crush happened to me when I used the old version of Market.
Then I downloaded the latest version of Market app (3.3.11)

Have you looked at the build.prop thread? This has the necessary entries you will need to put in the CM7 build.prop.

To your build.prop and reboot.

Do you have a rough eta on ICS?
I would provide one if I could get it to boot successfully. Getting a booting build is like 80% of roming. The rest is just tinkering. I have no eta on a booting build so no eta for ics :'(

Hey, Just had a quick question. Should CM7 have had Market installed when I first put it on my KF? Because mine did not, and I can not get the Market working for the life of me. I have it installed now but every time I try to open it, It prompts me to add a Gmail account. After tapping add account it just closes out to my homescreen. Any ideas?
