openvpn on android 2.2? - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hi everyone, I'm now using a nexus one and currently updated it to 2.2, and got root. Then I installed openvpn like what I did in the past, but I just didn't work. I've tried some cmds in terminal and found that it seems the DNS's problem. Is there anyone got the same problem? or is there some guy working on porting openvpn to 2.2? Thanks!

Need help with IM app

Hi everyone, I'm new on these forums and after looking through the forums, was unable to find a solution or even anyone else who seems to be having the same problem as me.
My problem: I recently rooted my mytouch 3g 1.2 and flashed to the latest cyanogen rom. The OS was noticably faster but I also noticed that my IM app was nowhere to be found. I am able to install apps with no problem and the OS is perfectly fine with the exception of the occasional lag. I currently have AIM installed but I prefer the stock IM app. Can anyone advise me on what I can do to regain my stock IM app? Thanks in advance.
Can anyone help? :\
think you need to be a bit more specific then "stock im"
only im I know that is stock for most windows mobiles
is messenger
It's a MyTouch. Android phone. And I'm talking about the stock IM app in 1.6.

Been researching and researching to load CM7 on my Mesmerize and running into some issues.
Have I missed a how to guide somewhere?

All the builds I have found are 10.5 or higher. Can someone offer some advice?
THanks in advance.

[Q] Installing OpenVPN: ICS on Nexus S 4.0.3 with Matr1x Kernel

Hi,
I have a rooted Nexus with ICS stock 4.0.3 and Matr1x kernel. I have been trying to install OpenVPN but with no luck!
I downloaded the latest OpenVPN Installer from the market, tried different combinations of options but hasn't been successful to get OpenVPN installed into my /system/xbin/openvpn !
Has anyone been able to get OpenVPN running on Nexus with ICS?
Haven't seen OpenVPN in ICS yet. 'Some_Person' has made a thread for OpenVPN working on GB. You might ask if he has a solution working for ICS:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102130&highlight=openvpn
I dont have a phone with ICS yet but here is the official ICS release. I can confirm for you that if you have root and the tun module, then you can use openvpn-installer and openvpn-settings to get openvpn running. The goog gave a VPN API, so now you dont need to root your phone or install tun.
you can just use this:
swupdate.openvpn.net/beta-downloads/OpenVPN-RC1.apk
To my knowledge there are no docs on using it yet, but one of the devs mentioned needing to use inline CA for now. Here is a link which explains how to use an inline CA.
