and to the OP i think there isnt a Icon Pack...you might have to Download a home/launcher like Openhome or Pandahome....

You honestly think I don't know the answer..... I don't want sound like a jerk, but...
The reason I did it that way was because the OP probably never bothered looking for "icon packs" or whatever himself first. You new users should learn to use the search button and Google before coming here and asking a very simple question, to which you yourself can answer.
Believe me I know the answer, I've made more themes and helped more people out than you and the OP combined, I just don't like/want new users to think that XDA will always give them the answer flat out, without them ever doing anything.
And yes, there is an icon pack -- you don't have to use Openhome or Pandahome. Again, this is where searching comes into play. I'll let you do it yourself, since you seem to think you know "the answer".

Im very capable of using google and the search function on this site if thats what i wanted to do. Im sorry i dont have hours to spend sifting through a 1000 websites from a google search. I figured this thread would allow people to post what they are using and some of their favorites. Nothing wrong with having a consolidated thread for specific information that im sure would benefit others as well.

If you're looking at 1000 pages (exaggerating)... you're using the wrong keywords, thus the reason for it taking so long.
Try looking around XDA in general (and not just the Evo forums) to find your answer. There are MORE than enough icon packs around here, you need to find them, download them, and modify the size of the icons to make sure they fit the Evo's resolution.
You can also you use google to find website icon packs or other icon packs, which again need to be modified and recreated to fit the Evo. You could use the 2.1 icons from the Hero forums, which again need to be modified for the Evo.
Your "icon packs" are everywhere -- all you have to do is find and modify them.

All you had to do is tell him w/o throwing the "LMGT4Y" link thats kinda old now...if it annoyed you that he posted a question...do like everyone else....Ignore the thread...and he probably looked around already to find an answer which lead him no choice but make a thread to look for answers....Not everybody suppose to know everything when they walk in this site...gotta start from somewhere...Im not trying to start mess in here...its just annoying when pple say do a google search(even though 90% already did before making a thread)....just be Nice, if not Dont say anything at all... it'll save you from wasting that 5 to 10 mins of making that link

Take a guess as to how I found my answer?
I used the search button.
I know not everyone knows everything from day one (I was in the same boat) -- however searching here on XDA or Google will bring up your answer (9/10 times) -- especially with something like "icon packs". Don't tell me that someone hasn't asked the exact question in some form or another here on XDA. My point is... people need to learn to use the search function and enter the proper keyboards, doing so will result in finding what you need. Period.
By the way, I think I've been pretty civil about all this; I could have just said... "Fu***** retards" and left, you know?

I took it as the OP was asking for our opinions on which icon pack we like, not asking how/where he can find icon packs. If you have nothing constructive to say, why did you even bother to post here? This didn't help at all. Its just like Cancer to this site.
I prefer Gloss icon pack myself.

this image shows my folder icons. each takes me to a folder via apporganizer with that group of my apps.
This one has individual apps.
I get all my icons from Iconfinder. Some on the site are purchase but the large majority are free. you can also find icon packs in many of the theme threads on XDA that are set up to match the themes people have created.

The title kinda says it all. I click the screen and nothing happens. I click again, and again, and it finally works. It happens about once an hour or so, and it happened from the very first boot after upgrading. Anyone else has this problem ?
Don't tell me to try the Apr 9 build, because i understand that iGo doesn't work with that one, so i have to keep the Apr 1 build. (If the iGo problem is 100% solved, i could try to flash it)

I thought about the pressure setting, but it can't be that. I don't press harder to make it work, i just press again and it works.
then i'm out of ideas sorry...maybe its what mikulec said..try reflashing the same rom and see if it fixes anything? or maybe a hardreset

Good point. Anyway, did you installed the CubeTouchFlo .cab? This program can slow down the Kaiser, on any ROM, even not being used.

it happens to me too... I think dutty wm6.1 3/23, 4/1, 4/9 is not stable sometimes... the rom stops for a few seconds..
Also happens to me with dutty's 1st April WM6.1 ROM. Seems to randomly sleep for 5-7 seconds.....

To all of u: try to reflash the rom u are using 99% of the people that are using duttys roms dont have this issue (I had it, after reflashing it was all ok), so its not the roms fault.
Did you hard reset, immediately after flashing the new rom? (on the sytlus alignment welcome screen)

Guys, i really, REALLY don't understand your frustration. I made a CRYSTAL CLEAR thread title, unlike 50% of the threads here. If you are not interested, you know that only by reading the title.
And you know (or you should know, since you are the forum masters apparently ) that a question in a thread with 1490 posts has a high chance of being overlooked. Yes, 1490 posts, it's not a typo, I said 30 pages, but i use 50 posts per page. And don't forget that this particular thread (Dutty's Apr 1 ROM) is made obsolete by the newest Apr 9 ROM, so there's an even bigger chance to overlook my question. And another reason to post on the main page: Dutty (unfortunately) has some problems and retired for a while.

They show as broken images. If I right click and click Open Image in New Tab it says
"Invalid Attachment specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"

you know, if you wernt such a **** and learned how a bootanimation worked youd realize that its a series of pngs stored in folders within a zip, played in sequence as described by a text file
simply open the zip, look at the pngs and voila, you now know if you would like it or not, dont be so lazy
with that said, snake i havn't look at these bootanimations, nor can i see the images, but if you email me the images ill upload them to my server and give you the proper tags to use to place the images in here
as for anyone else who would rather come in here and wine that there are no pictures in this post, you are not forced to use these boot animations, you are not forced to give a damn, therfor you are not forced to come in here

actually all you have to really do is learn the picture w/h and keep that ratio only because if you go too crazy it will strech the pictures out and look bad
example in the desc.txt
is something like [124 130p 0 0part0] all you would need to do is edit the "124 130" portion as long as you kept the ratio within their respectable resolution they wont get blurred.. and dont ask me ratio's lol i dont do math lol 1+3=13 lol

Lol...thanks for that, but not what I was trying to do. Just trying to post a .bmp from each zip so people could see, but they're too big for xda. Then I figured people can just d/l the things themselves. Fk 'em

I dont expect you, 100's or even 1000's to download anything. It is a choice you can make on your own. If you dont want to download something because there isnt a picture, then thats your choice. There is no need to be a complete **** to someone who took the time to make several bootanimations. He made these for himself mainly, and decided to post them here to share with everyone else. Once again, if not having a picture stops you from downloading, by all means dont download it. But please do not go and flame a OP for sharing some of his own work with the community.

hey buddy as far as i know this is only compatible with stock/cyanogen roms the hero/htc roms use a different format which I plan to play and address here in a few days or so, so check back

What do we have here?
Most if not all of what I will write about here is based on ROMS for other devices that can be found here. These ROMS are not meant to be used as a "daily driver" if you will, but more to be tested and hopefully improved until they work. The hope would be to get the radio working so they could actually be used to make calls.
Versions
I'm dividing the builds up into different categories
1. Nightly- They probably won't actually be nightly, maybe 2 some day and then not 1 for a week, but they are the most cutting edge, and may not even boot. Only nightly builds currently exsist.
2. Release Candidate (RC)- a bit stabler, will work fine, but will still have problems as listed.

Initial releases of AOKP and CM9. both are based of Droid 3 and AOKP appears not to boot

Here is a list of generic problems, along with ones specific to certain builds. I'll add on to this.

1. No radio- This is the big one, no clue how we're gonna fix it

Because it has to do with the radio, and opening it up. Modifying or talk of modifying radios, cell unlock, S-off, and hacking free cell service are all off limits on XDA. I am not 100% sure on all of it, so you might check with our mod.
I also sent you a PM too.
About the only thing I can do here is give the correct build.prop setting for CM9/AOKP to work on our phone, and that is the following:

What I am going to do is a little more back door and "forcefull" if these setting don't work for anyone who has it loaded or is going to flash it.

This weekend I will try and see what I can do with the actual ro.ril.so files.
Downloaded...can DB for mirrors if anyone needs. May hold off flashing myself until a little more fixing is done. Very excited to see the ball rolling now though. Great job guys...keep it up!

I noticed a few little issues.
1) The following line is in there twice with different numbers:

2) The ro.ril settings are a little different than our "known good" settings:

Try changing the the ro.ril.grpsclass to 12, as in my above post.
These are just the things that so far stand out to me to begin with.

I think I will write up a quick shell script that changes the necessary properties in build.prop so that we can do it to any build and not worry about screwing up other things by totally replacing it.
How should I go about it? sed I guess? any other ideas.

awk and sed or Perl, since Perl has the interpreters and edit functions for text already built in.
It might be best to just have the script create the correct build.prop no matter what, instead of edit it, that way we know that the correct file gets used, and not some "accidental" flub up that someone might have played with... sort of like a built in recovery so to speak. you can always back up any other versions.

but won't that be a problem with different builds? isn't the build.prop different for AOKP and CM9 and even for different ones of those possibly?
I would do Perl, but I have never used it in my life, so I would probably screw something up pretty bad, or just take forever to do it.
Rils are modified and created in other forums, so I wouldn't think it would be a problem for us.

Yes you are right.... I am going to do something that has the possibility that I might have to go rogue and change and release proprietary code in an open format, and that is what is not allowed, and I can't even discuss it here. Anyone who would like more information can PM me.
Here is a rundown on the RIL, and why it is important:

We need it to be open source, but it is not, and it is usually propritary code. If I can find an open source version we are in luck and we can compile the CM9 version and just plug it in... otherwise I need to go and hack it.

Nope, that is the place where you can get the opensource RIL files and code... that is why I already knew about it... LOL you found it though so you know what I am on to and after here.

Had to create a new community, apparently you can't change visibility to public after it's been created as private.
Hello world! I just (beta) released my own, first Android application to Play Store!
As of now it's in beta and I need your help!
I need testers!
I have created a group/community on Google+ where everyone is free to join (although it seems I have to accept individually.. Annoying!)
There you can find links to the beta signup and the app on playstore and you need to join the community to be able to download the Beta.
The plan is to take the app out of beta as soon as possible but that requires some serious testing and without you that's not possible!
So give me all feedback, even the worst kind! Bugreports, screenshots, hugs! Everything!
You can also share your ideas and thoughts. There is also a changelog section for updates!
Anyone speaking all but Swedish and English are very welcome to help translating the app!

I just downloaded this app and it looks very nice for a beta application.
I'd like to make one suggestion however. I can already see the security question you chose to implement in the security section of the app is going to cause a lot of fuss by the general public. I can already see people being weary putting their real credit card # in because they will think you will be able to see this answer. Then they are going to put in a fake #, forget what they used, and get locked out. This results in a 1 star review.
My suggestion is to create a list of 10 or so predefined questions they can answer. Even better let them type in their own question that they can answer.

This has crossed my mind and had me thinking, but then I remembered the 4 last digits are the only ones that show (most of the times I can remember, anyhow) if you add a creditcard to a online site, for example. Plus its basically impossible to forget! So I thought this would make no difference, but I'm afraid you're right.
Other security questions will be in the next update (or after that one), because this is a very big deal. And ofcourse the ? button will be removed, its only for developer/beta purpose.

its awesome but also on my device the floating button is like @handgun50 screenshoot, on my tablet floating button is just black weird looking and just white plus no pink color, when i go to settings and try change password whatever i do it says wrong password, i wish to see transparent status bar also or just like original material design 500 in app and 700 for status bar

Hi and thanks for trying out my application.
The Statusbar
It cannot be colored as in android L because you cannot mix android L with previous versions of android since its the developer preview (it's just that, a preview). So the only way to do this (for now) is by replicating the design and other effects to make them work in previous android versions where the coloring of statusbar obviously cannot be done.
I could however, make a separate app only for android L but imagine having to work with two apps at once.. Alone.
When they release the full thing this will be possible in the same app by declaring the sdk to L (or whatever it will be called).
Offline Mode
The offline mode is for when I have an online database to keep the notes. As of now its only local. When this is ready, you will be able to choose whether you want to keep your notes online or local.

I mean, I would love to have either folders or "labels" as Gmail does so that I can group notes and then would like to have a lock/unlock feature for each group/folder/label.
c) I would also think it would be nice if the online feature allowed th user to save the notes to ones own Gmail or Google Drive account or even maybe dropbox or box.
Design looks nice.

its can be done look on lg g3 kk stock when you enter any app status bar change color, and also with an xposed module can be done that on rom but i wont use xposed (art reason), for example look on app "pushbullet" awesome transparanecy on statusbar and navigation bar am just suggesting so you will do what you like

The google+ community should be working as its supposed to. For me both links work fine. Have you joined the community before you try to join the beta?
These are tags. The tags are like categories. I am working on a way to sort these by tags. In the meantime all they do is to show you what kind of note it is.
To be able to share the note is one of my primary goals. You should be able to save to a local textfile, send by email and save to drive. I have successfully added a file in drive with the name of the title but the part where the content fills the file is very hard.

DZ09 app
Hi,
I bought a DZ09 and received it last week. I am from the Netherlands...
I like the design and the display is also good. Some functions I will probably never use but in general a nice smartwatch.
I got mine for 28 euros and for that it is not bad.
Only problem is the software for the smartphone. The software you can download by scanning the QR code is Chinese.
Can not get that to work.
I have tried several app but I finally ended up with an app called RWATCH.
That one connects to the smartwatch, you can do all things with sms messages.
One thing is the app crashes to often. That is a pitty so I hope they will increase stability.
Secondly the health control in the smartphone RWATCH app does not seem to work.
Maybe I do something wrong or I just have to wait for an update of the app.
If the app runs it is a good tool.
Hopefully I will find some other software which will run smoothly on the smartphone.
Oh and I have a Samsung Note 4 running Lollipop nowadays.

Thank you thedarkharlequin for posting the proper link for us all above. I have had my DZ09 for just over 1 week. I had many issues with the original download wich is provided to you through the QR code located on the watch. After a day of fighting with it crashing all the time I looked to the app store on my SGH-I337M and saw a lot of promising looking apps that were all claiming to do the job. First I tried the BT Notifications like the watch said. Though it was an upgraded version it worked just as well as the first. I then tried other apps that claimed to work with the watch. Same story. Found an app called SmartWear which did the job for the notifications but left all the other capabilities in the dirt. Once I tried the link above I have had all functions and capabilities working 100%

that's the qr code site. download the one labeled "BTNotifications Android". that's the one that works with the dz09.

Me 3, my DZ09 just arrived to Denmark from China after 6½ weeks of waiting, so plenty of time to bookmark your post, just love it, thank you SO much thedarkharlequin! :good:
BTW couldn't even get the darned bar-code to work (several QR-apps), maybe I turned off to much Google spy on my phone? Anyway the parring works like a charm with this app, only my DZ09 doesn't have the cool watch-faces and animations I've seen on videos so next step is another firmware, just hope my watch isn't a fake one..

let me know how you get on with the firmware update, im also looking for a way to upgrade
I'm looking for a software update too due to ten fact that it holds an interface different than te original one which seems to be a Gear S but no success could you notify me as soon as you reach sth?

Year, I thought I had found one just waiting for me (I did, her name is Berit, but that's a whole other story), but that was for MTK6250, ours are MTK6260A as far as I know, so didn't apply at all.. :silly: The tool provided in the download might work for us however, if anyone

could find a nice firmware or even somebody who have the nice firmware in his/her DZ09 and knows how to scratch it out for share (I don't know that stuff)..

For you guys who have had there watches for a while can you answer me a couple of questions.
When the phone and watched are synced I like that you can see who is calling but I want to be able to answer my phone to speak and not talk through the watch! Even when I make a call on the phone while paired to the watch it comes out of thr watch and not the phone.
While using Google music I want to be able to skip songs etc thr only way this can be done is if the music comes out of thr watch but not when it comes out of the phone.

Chip is the same, and I think the specs. are similar enough for the firmware to work on our DZ09s (but what do I know(?)), unfortunately both links are down, but I see the watch here in XDA, possible with firmware, haven't got time for a closer look today (tonight DK time), but will look into that tomorrow!

I think they may be our people although I somehow doubt the firmware mentioned has the fun/cool stuff we are looking for.

I checked the site and do what I'd had to do and my watch died so I used my guaranty now they repaired my watch
What I discovered is that we have a clone watch from u10 due to I found two types of firmware of the same watch but different type.
Our model is Zd09 no other so be careful cause you can install firmwares and they run buy your watch may be died or the screen can not work

Can someone tell me if this watch is capable of sending/receiving text messages that come to your phone? I've been reading mixed messages on the net. I'm not talking about texts to the phone's own phone number.
Hey, I’ve got my hands on a DZ09 with exactly the cool animations, transition modes and watch-faces I believe quite a few of us are were looking for, but only for borrow. Does anybody know how to copy the firmware, so that we can work on getting it into our watches?

It most certainly can receive (via BlueTooth) messages sent to the pocket phone, it also receives emails sent to the pocket, and sometimes even (but not all) Skype messages. And you can browse text messages in your pocket as well as contacts and call records right on your wrist. I don't know about writing text messages and sending them through BT, haven't tried that because the keyboard/handwriting doesn't support Danish letters "æ, ø and å", but I suppose it is possible, only it's a very small screen for the purpose, don't think you would do that much as it is far more comfortable to use your pocket phone for writing.
