I've just bought my new MDA compact and TomTom in a bundle from t-mobile.
This MDA was preinstalled with rom 1.13 shipped.
After installing and executing TomTom i got/received only a Blackscreen.
I called T-Mobile and TomTom and they told me that this is a a known issue with new MDA compact (shipped with fw 1.13).
I tried to downgrade my mda to 1.12 and get also a blackscreen. only a reset helps.
does anybody know what they have changed in designt?
Does anybody know how to resolve this issue?
T-Mobile and TomTom told me that this is a known issue, with currently shipped MDA's. It could take weeks until they will provide an ROM Update or an update for TomTom.
Not much of a help, but:
I have upgraded my MDA with ROM 1.13 and TomTom is working correctly here.
Could it be that your bundled version of TT isn't the same as the one that is bought seperately?
If that's the case, then TT looks to be spending more time protecting their software, than to make sure it actually runs! Not that there's anything new in that, it just sucks when you pay big money for something and it doesn't work as good as the pirated soft other ppl dl off the net...
I hope this mean there is more to come form T-Mobile for us Wizard users.

The Dash Wm6 rom was leaked awhile ago.
T-Mobile no longer cares about the MDA, now that they have the "Wing" coming soon which should have WM6 from the start. They even removed the MDA from their website, kinda leaving all us MDA users to cope for ourselves.

I downloaded it last night. but as I dont have a dash, no idea if it works or not. I will try and upload it tonight

If you have an T-Mobile acct, you should be able to login and change your phone, then go to support and it should allow you to download it.
is it for wizard or for Dash, The wizard isn't even on the t-mobile website anymore.
Can you install this in a wizard or is that stupid. Cingular also released a rom for an 8525 the other day. The 8525 was an upgrade to the 8125 right, so does anyone know if that rom may work on the wizard????

8525 (hermes) and 8125 (wizard) are very different when it comes to roms, you couldn't just try to use that rom on a wiz..
someone could possible use a hermes rom to make a wm6 rom for the wizard.... but thats about it

They are trying to get the release for the dash to work on wiard.
I dont know if anyone has seen this but T-mobile has posted WM6 upgrades for both the Dash and Wizard http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/
Does anyone know whether or not this will work on the Cingular 8125?

Update for MDA has the date of 2006, so it's not a new update.
The new update is only for Dash.

Thats really sucks, does anyone know if T-Mobile will ever come out with an update to the Wizard?

The dash upgrade is wm6, the MDA is wm5 IPL/SPL 2.26.
But yes you can use mda version on the 8125. I have used it to flash back to wm5 after trying some wm6 cooked versions.

yeah, the upgrade is called the " Wing ".
or the XDA terra - because it is an HTC p4350 aka HTC herald

And it has WM6 on it but in german.
Does anyone know of a way to get pandora.com on a ppc? I know Sprint is the official partner but I would LOVE to have it on my cingular (ATT) 8125.
