NDrive Maps - a cool maps software on Windows Marketplace - General Topics

I saw this App (NDriveUSA Maps) on Windows Marketplace. I am looking for one such software that I can use when I am on road, as I do not have data plan, and don't want to subscribe one. It is a paid version, and I was trying to see if anyone has an idea of how to achieve this for no cost, or if there is something similar to this out there ?
Also wanted to explore if one person pays and downloads it, can it be used to install on more than one HD2 phone, so as to share the cost?
Ideas and suggestions are welcome from experts out there.

Need some suggestions please!

While there are excellent programs created here by developers, there are always some that you may want to purchase. So I'm asking here, what apps have you purchased that you use quite often and found the cost well worth it for the product. I'm willing to bet there are other threads, as I have read many here, that already suggest certain apps, but most are to cluttered. So, what are you using/have used and liked?
Every app listed in my signature is what I can't live without. None are free but well worth it to me!

Thanks for the suggestions, but I do have two questions for you. First, on the CorePlayer, are you able to covert video files from your PC to play on this, even if it's an additional software. For iNav, is this GPS reliable only on the PPC connections?

Thanks, I use Spb Mobile DVD for movie conversion and for iNav, I use it on my Tilt w/ the built in GPS and on my Laptop via bluetooth GPS.
I have a full license for most of the SPB SoftwareHouse products. I love the programs they integrate together well; Mobile Shell2 / Pocket+ / Phone Suite / wheather
I allso use "Finger Friendly Friends" I cant live with out it, its one hell of an intelligent contacts manager.
Another I cant live without is: Acquasys Pocket Investor by Acquasys
I would be at a loss if I couldn't track whats going on with my invesments.
Thanks for posts, any good weather apps that include a today plugin. I searched for Weather Panel, found the site, but it won't open. Any ideas on something close, if not, better?

Is there a site that lists ALL the Win Mobile apps?

Something like the androlib.com site but for windows?
Also, in your opinion (keep it short please) what is the difference between win mobile and android and pros and cons please?
Thanks
George
Nope, some developers make their own apps and sell it independently so there's never a site that has ALL apps on there.
Nothing even remotely close to the androlib site?
Thanks
Handango and Pocketgear have alot of programs and games.
Tack för hjälpen fjompa
George
Try http://www.1800pocketpc.com/
For App and games Review try : http://www.bestwindowsmobileapps.com/
YES!!! THERE IS!!!
HERE
Moved as not software release.
Google is your best bet, there's no site that has all software for android either.
Handango, PocketGear, Freewareppc.net, and a lot of others have a lot of software mirrored, though there's no one place that has everything.
THanks nullstring, I tried that but it seems that the androlib site has more listed than windows but I guess there are more android apps too but anyway, for those who tried to help, thanks.
I think I'll go with android as I did not like the UI on the HD2 I tried and I have yet to find a proggy for windows that makes things on the screen big enough for me to see.
Peace out

SUGGESTION: App store

Hello guys
I'm fairly new to WP7 and recently bought an Omnia 7.
One thing pisses me off though - not being able to buy apps outside a supported country or credit card.
My suggestion is therefore, wouldnt it be possible to develop something like cydia app store for (pardon) iPhone?
Im currently on my phone and waiting for a flight at the airport, so havnt searched around too much, so incase i've failed to spot a similar thread please direct me to it instead of giving me a "use search you mofo"
Thanks in advance guys. =)
WP7 is fairly new, new countries will be supported as it grows larger.
As for a Cydia like application, I'm sure it will come along some time, but I don't think there is one right now.
I am currently working on a desktop application to bring a Cydia-like market to WP7. My main aims are:
- Provide homebrew developers with a place to host their applications/profit from them
- Provide a simple all-in-one dekstop solution for users to download, update and install apps to their phone
- "Trial Mode" will not exist, rather developers can post two versions of the same application with different functionality
- Market will be free from Marketplace restrictions. This includes UI/Metro restrictions. It's up to the user to decide whether they want to use a non-metro application.
My main issue at the moment is just getting the infrastructure in place and making sure everything is secure. I've only really got the barebones together, so it will take some time to get the project finished off.
Anybody who has any suggestions, feel free to post them here or PM me them
Cheers Blade0rz
Im happy to this is already in development.
I will let you know if any ideas happen to pop up. Will be following your progression

[Q] Icon Download?

Hi,
I put this question up at android.net but that doesn’t seem to be a developer forum, one of the guys said I should try here.
I’ve built an icon and I want people to be able to download onto their mobile phone that then sits in the applications, right next to angry birds metaphorically, that is then a simple a link to my mobile website. Is there a tutorial for that anywhere?
I will want to be able to do that for at least iPhone and Andrioid.
Cheers,
Mike.
Anyone have any ideas, I don’t want to have to try another forum!
Thanks for your help XDA Developer…lol.
Thanks for your help XDA Developer…lol.
I got to the bottom of the icon thing, that’s the easy part, in fact when it comes to programming the app part is the easiest part.
I now have a working model with a PC based administration section linked to a database communicating via a web service to iPhone, Windows Phone and Android. I can CRUD from both the phones and PC. It’s a beautiful package if I may say so myself. Now its built world is my oyster.
You may as well delete me from this forum, as you people don’t seem to share I’m not going to either and I won’t be coming back!
Good luck and good bye!
Mike.

[Q] Shiftplan (Schichtplaner) for WP7

Hi alltogether !
I've searched the forum, but found nothing, so let me start a new thread.
I'm looking for an app called Shiftplaner (or Schichtplan in German). Does anybody have it (or is able to convert it to) .xap ?
Both english or german would do for me.
I think some of us here work in shifts, so it would be nice to have it to plan some free time...
Thanks for the replies...
Well, for starters this thread should really be in "Windows Phone 7 General" forum.
2nd, is this app available on other platforms? Do you have a link to a website? Marketplace doesn't show any apps by that name that I can find.

Sorry, can't help you. You can be banned from the forum making such a request. My idea is this: Try signing up for Bing Rewards, and you might be able to use your rewards points to buy some credit on the Windows Phone Market Place. Not sure if they have a reward for that, but its worth a shot.
