After using the HTC Youtube app for a while, it replaces all my video bookmarks with other videos that I haven't even watched. WTF? They are videos that show up in the "related videos" section of things I HAVE watched or have shown up in searches I've done, but they're never videos I've watched.
Anyone else having the same problem, and is there a solution? I've lost my bookmarks 3 times in a 2 month period. >:U

Has YouTube changed something recently (June 2011)?
Using Opera Mini 5.1 (last Windows Mobile version released) I have been able to view most YouTube videos through the HTC streaming app.
That is up until the last week or two. Now when I visit youtube and select a video there is no longer any "click to view video" text or any video placeholder.
I haven't changed anything on the phone.
I can play videos using Opera Mobile 9.5 through the streaming app, but that browser is so bloated that it shuts down all other running apps, nails the CPU at 100%, and then crashes if I open more than 1 tab. In any case, that indicates that the HTC streaming app is still set up as my device's default stream handler.
So, has anyone else noted any recent issues like this with Youtube on WM devices?
Thanks.
Hi guys
I noticed that last night's last YouTube update (2.3.4) changed the app behavior. Before this update i was able to play a song clip, close the screen display and listen to the song. Now, when you close the screen display, the clip pauses. This feels stupid to me. Do we have alternatives or any way to rollback & cancel future updates?
Thanks

Tubemate is awesome and it allows to record videos directly to your phone as well as audio record I highly recommend it plus it allows use of all YouTube features .
just uninstall the update....settings - applications.
Hi guys
I completely uninstalled YouTube app using TB and I'm using a YouTube bookmark to launch it on my browser. It works fine. I think this app is redundant.
I did install TubeMate to be able to save videos and mp3s from YouTube, but to play it is just launching your browser...

Am trying to watch youtube using the youtube app and internet (stock) browser. All videos start out playing for a fraction of a second and then stop. Interestingly, embedded videos in other sites (engadget) play without issue. Anyone else having this problem.
I have the 1.82 ROM on AT&T and have cleared cache and data from browser and youtube app.
Last couple of day I am not able to stream Youtube Videos in Internet Explorer on my Samsung Omnia W with WP7.5 Refresh OS.
Earlier I was able to stream videos from Youtube directlt in IE. Anybody else noticed this issue?
Has there been any changes in recent days which I may have missed?
Make sure you're in the HTML5 trial of Youtube (go to http://youtube.com/html5 to check). Also, be aware that some videos are unavailable in HTML5. For those, you'll have to use one (of the many) YouTube apps.

Thanks. Yes, now Videos are playing after I joined HTML5 trial from IE.
But I dont understand what has changed recently so that Videos stopped playing, which were playing normally earlier.
Suddenly, Youtube videos that are linked on FB or sites within Chrome won't load for me. There's no error message. When I hit play, it starts to buffer but doesn't actually play or load the video.
The YouTube app itself works fine. I have no idea what would make this change suddenly. Anyone have any fixes?
TIA.
I'm having this same issue on the s7 edge, has anyone found a fix.
