Hi,
I was checking if there is an application to download youtube videos in my WinMo6.5 Diamond2
You should be able to download through Opera.
Also, doesn't the native YouTube app have a download option?
Try out the GETYTV or WVD web video downloader both dedicated Youtube downloader apps, They should satisfy you.
to OP:
To watch youtube: see post2
To Store youtube Video in your Memory/Card: see post 3...
IMO, Getytv is quite ok for me...

In Opera 9.5 if I went to m.youtube.com videos would open in HTC Streaming Media. The links were rtsp:// blah blah.3gp
Now with 9.7 the links are vnd.youtube: and launch youtube.exe however it just launches and doesn't play the video.
I want to either get youtube to use rtsp links again, or make the youtube app launch the video I clicked on, not just open.
Have a look on my signature and go to that link. You can find working youtube in Opera Mobile
I prefer the youtube / htc media player since you don't have to wait forever for it to preload the video.
How to play YouTube video in WP7?

thats not what he means.
you need to find the mp4 link of the youtube video, as mediaelement can only play mp4 and not flv movies.
This probably involves some reverse engineering of how youtube codes its video urls. But there are some tutorials about how to make a youtube player with wp7.
They used direct mp4 links as well.
Good luck.

can suggest YouTube alternative
Here is the list of the popular alternatives to YouTube:
Vimeo
DailyMotion
DTube
Twitch
Internet Archives Video Section
Metacafe
*****ute
Utreon
Vevo
9GAG TV
If you mean "alternative client" for YouTube, then NewPipe is the best.
I would like to add one more, TikTok.
U can use streamable that's another alternative to YouTube
