a clear genie widget (news and weather) apk for froyo. Has that been done yet? im going for the minimalist look and its black background is working against my whole setup. anyone know where to find?
Here you go http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=677269
this one uses the htc weather apps but has to be install via adb.
Thanks ! I would really like some leads to the clear genie widget as well if there is one for 2.2 yet.

not sure what you meant but it does work on 2.2
Ok guys, I got a question.
I got an HTC Desire HD and I'm using Launcher Pro Plus. But I really want the original HTC sense flip clock on my homescreen. The one that starts flipping when you unlock your phone or when time changes..
Could someone help me?
Thanks!
Use Fancy Widget from the market
Or search for Fancy Widget 1.3.0, which contains the HTC flipclock theme.
Fancy Widget (the original version) looks a lot like the HTC Sense Flip Clock, with one major distinction: the clock doesn't flip. To me, that's the whole point of having a flip clock...to enjoy the flip animation.
as far as i know in the market there is no flip clock that actually flips. a shame though.
so you set there and stare at your screen to watch it flip? why not get weather donate its go a flip clock you can theme
Ok thanks guys, it seems there's no nice good working flip clock available =( Hope it will come soon!
Weather & Toggle Widget
Check out Weather & Toggle Widget on the Market, I use it and really like it, especially because of the skins.
In this thread, let's all show each other our homescreens, so we can all have a more pimpin' phone
Include a bit of information if you have a non-standard set-up, so as to minimize the amount of replys saying "WHAT IS THAT THEME YOU'RE RUNNING" etc. Thanks
I'll start.
I'm just running launcher pro, and the beautiful widgets theme is bullet droid.
LauncherPro with Icons I made for the dock...
Lockscreen (widgetlocker) with HoneyCombClock

Using:
ADW Ex - Black Glass theme and icons
Beautiful Widgets Home - Obsidian Skin

WidgetLocker for lock screen
My current setup, with Launcher Pro, Codex Icons and clockr for the time.
Too lazy to make a Flashlight icon for myself to fit the theme, heh.
Straight sweet. Love how I learned some new tricks trying to figure out how to get a screen capture and more interesting bits about the Android SDK and ADB functions.
Anyway .. Not very minimalistic but this would be mine.
LauncherPro Plus.
Beautiful Widgets (has tie ins for Calendar, Alarm, and Weather apps)
No Lock Widget (hate sliding to open)
AppBrain Widget (keeps my others stuff upto date)
ChompSMS widget (SMS)
NewsRob Pro Widget (rss feeds)
AudioManger Widget (quick and easy audiosettings)
Moov (great search utility. still learning all its functionality)
I have used and ADW EX but like the LPP Friends Widget way to much and have not found a replacement for it.

Kinda boring, I might switch to adw and have to get some of these fancy custom lock screens...
Edit: now with awesome puzzle lock, thanks to the tater!
I guess that method's resolution isn't as good with some of the apps. Anyone know how to adjust it? or is it just because I uploaded those images on a mobile device?

ok here goes. All infor about what I'm running can be found in sig.
I'm somewhat of a minimalist, so my homescreen(center screen) is blank except for time and battery.
running launcher pro so most my icons are on the docs.
from left to right
Here's my work in progress.

Beautiful widgets and launcher pro. I'm always changing the wallpaper and clock. Those microsoft-like tiles are pretty cool, how did you do that blue2107?

From what I've gotten to work perfectly you hold down the "Back" soft key, then push the power button. Holding the back button shouldn't actually go back, at least until you release pressure.
I love gingerbread but need the sense camera. So, since my friends still think my phone is CM7 even though it isn't, I thought I'd share my cheater way to get 2.2 to look 98% of the way there. There are only a few subtle visual differences, but it convinced a coworker today...
1. Koni elite III and get rid of the clock in status bar
2. Omegasun18 Honeycomb dreams for battery icon, other icons, etc...
3. Adw launcher by anderweb
4. NexusKang live wallpaper (free on market)
5. Calkulins remove sense
6. Sony sketch font (i like it on evervolv a lot!!!) - fachadick 300 fonts thread
7. The clock is beautiful widgets from market (i always use it since i paid)
8. Wimax notifier from Noxious Ninja for the wimax led notification (in xda themes and apps)
9. Screen Off and Lock by Katecca for the Gingerbread screen off animation (also on market)
hope this helps a little bit, keep the sense camera, have wimax notification, and the gingerbread screen off all on 2.2

Nice post man. Thanks for the info.
wow thanks for the info I'm going to try it now
thx man
great job man, thx alor for the info
Looks pretty cool. I'll have to mention this to my friend who just got his. doesn't like sense look but likes some of the default apps.
the screen off app is cool. not as convincing as the real thing. but cool.
one thing I would love to do is get it so it shows the animation when you actually hit the power button, not just hold search.

It's not bad though. the problem is you know it isn't the real thing. there are some other really cool screen off animations in there too. I use a blank on my screen to activate it instead of the search button. Blank icons are great, have about 6 on my home screen

I might consider doing this since I love the look of CM7 but I can't stand not using Qik, Skype on 3G and just a few other things that I used to do on 2.2 that I can't on 2.3.....Good post man!
thanks the animation looks great!
now i'm trying to find the sound that those old tvs made when turning off so I can put that sound to go along with the animation!
anyone have that?
there is no link

it is below in the image box, just right click the left side where an image usually is and save the file "Transparent-Icon-(For-Ninja-Apps)"
don't you mean more honeycomb looking?
I am running gummy 2.0. I am not sure if that is important info or not but I want my phone to have this theme https://market.android.com/details?id=com.upwardspiral.Basic_Orange
If i could get that exact theme somehow that would be awesome. but if I cant I would like something like this which I think is more in the possible range.http://launcherpro-themes.deviantart.com/gallery/?set=27893132&offset=24#/d3i8v4p
I like the simple clean look of just he words. Any help is much appreciated.
Also the only theme programs I know of so far are launcher pro and adw. Are there any other ones worth looking at?
Thanks a ton!
You could also try GO Launcher EX.

The basic orange theme is a cm7 theme. At this time the droid charge doesn't have cm7 running but I am sure the theme can be ported or someone can make an orange theme from one of their current themes. I would put a request thread asking for someone to create an orange theme or see what they can come up with.

I think the only way to do that would be to use the TSM parts option in Gummy 2.0, and as for widget locker do you have the app? there should be theme settings somewhere in options
