2010 World Cup App Suggestions - Android Apps and Games

Hi, I want to do a little round up of what the best World Cup apps are for Android, so I figure I should ask which you're using or going to use over the next month or so?
Myself I quite like the look of World Droidcup.

Thanks for this, i was using 2010 world cup, but Droidcup is better.

Thanks.
I am also using thisone. Does anybody know a good app for tipping the games (with friends)? So that the good old paper could finally be replaced ...

So no-one else has any suggestions?

Thx for sharing! Its nice and usefull

I have World DroidCup but I also have 2010 World Cup as it has a decent news tab, it just uses an RSS Feed, but it's handy

I prefer the WC 2010 - Fotmob (free) version

I can't find DroidCup on the Market Place. Even if I scan the barcode it just says that it can't
find "copa.mundial". Is it limited to certain devices or countries? I'm using a HTC Desire and
am located in Luxembourg. Are there any download links on the web?

same here i couldn't find it in the market, but scanning the qr code on this site did it

I've done a little video review of some World Cup apps now. Check them out -

I can't find DroidCup in the market now either

goal.com mobile is not bad either - be patient with it after you first install while it updates content

Droidcup server is down since the start of the WC; goodlooking app, but w/o match results completely useless.

world cup fotmob is good as well

I use iphone.livescore.com website it has almost realtime results for many leages at least the ones i care for.

I tried 3 apps: DroidCup, WC 2010 FotMob and Goal.com.
I think Goal.com is noticeably better than the other two, as it has the most rich content for live updates, lineups, player info, etc. It also will be useful after the World Cup is over to follow any major league and Champions League.
I posted Goal.com Android app review (with screenshots) at my blog: http://www.bongizmo.com/blog/goal-com-android-app-review/

Fotmob has live scores/stats etc, its very good and works, its also free.

I didn't try it yet but I would like to share it with you.

I play LoL a lot and I was delighted to hear that I could play something similar while on the go. However, I was very disappointed, isn't anything like LoL. How the hell do you expect us to control 3 heroes at the same time?!?
This is a good games, maybe its campaign mode need us to control 3 heroes at same times, but not for multiplayer.
Let see how the multiplayer match work. Hope it not just online, but via local wifi too
I'll try this out, if it'd be kinda cool if riot just made mobile platforms. Like a queue for PC and a queue for mobile players. But if you wanted to you can queue up with your PC buddy for bot matches and what not.
UP
Isnt xplay optimized, however i'll give it a try

Yeah, i always think about it =D
Just to share my experiences, I downloaded this a while back and was not impressed. The controls (touch controls as others have pointed out) were not nearly responsive enough, the game ran poorly and was very choppy and it really pushes a rough freemium model for a single-player game IMO.

Outbreak! 2

Hi All!
So last year I created a thread here about an app that I had just released. I got a lot of great support from this forum so I though I should come back and give an update about the latest version!
It's now available from the market, and there have been a lot of significant changes. So here are a few screenshots:

The premise of the game is the same as always. You play the game on a map view, using you actual location. Zombies must attack survivors and vice versa. As a survivor, when a Zombie gets your health down to zero you will turn into a zombie. If you are killed as a Zombie you can respawn as a survivor.
The game has a leveling system, so you can level up as you attack users, and increase the range with which you can attack.
I'm also working on some pretty major features at the moment, as I want to integrate real world locations ... but that's all I'm going to say on that for now. I think the biggest news, however, is that there is also an IOS version in the works ... not that any one here would care but you will be able to distinguish between android and IOS users, and attack accordingly.
There is also a facebook page where I post pre-release versions of the app for people to try out.
I have thrown together a temporary website (while I try to find time to do something proper), which explains the game a little more. I have made a pre-market version available here, which has all of the latest features.. just waiting for a good time to go live on the market.
As always I would love to get as much feedback as possible!
Thanks & Enjoy!
Hi,
Nice app!
I gave it a try today.
I was lucky enough to find a player in my neighborhood but unfortunately he was a zombie, like me.
So my first suggestion would be to allow to respawn as an opposite kind.
Because basically I just cannot play since the closest other player is > 100 km from me!
Cheers.
Thanks! If you email [email protected] with your user name I can add some NPCs in your area. This is a beta feature so I ask people to request.
Cheers,

[APP][1.0][ANDROID] Football Hangman

Hi,
here is an application, which I developed for ANDROID - Football Hangman. It is now one year since this app has been online and the downloads are not the best. But every time when I make some facebook-manual marketing and advertising the app always boosts its downloads-per-day statistics.
Anyways, please have a look at the app and tell me your opinion.
You will find the app when you type Football Hangman in the Google Playstore. Unfortunately I am new and don't have enough posts in order to give you direct links and some screenshots. After e few more posts things will be different.
Thanks a lot in advance for your opinion. If you want you can also have a look at my other apps, which are also online on Google under the same developer name - 3M-App-Team
what does it do? why not post a version for xda members?

Here is a short description of the game Football Hangman together with some screenshots:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You are a soccer fan and want to learn more about football? Well, here is your chance to put your knowledge to the test. Bringing back childhood memories, the good old hangman comes now in a football version. Test your knowledge of football players, stadiums, teams, etc.
In order to increase your scores, you can play "penalty bets" and risk your points to earn even more. Play every day and keep an eye on the statistics from previous days. Challenge yourself and try to guess as much words as possible during the course of the day to improve your personal best.

[Widgets] The Google play console feedback widgets

As a developer and a founder, it has been tough for me to manage our app reviews and continue to check them and reply each one of them at the earliest. Important reviews and issue trends sometime gets lost on Play console. That's why I've built this new Reviews widget dashboard, sits on the homescreen and I can control the app quality on the go and reply to our users.
I bet this is the problem of many of the indie Android developers here on XDA. They have their apps on Google play and opening play console on desktop on a daily basis, it just takes too much time, effort and energy. The widget dashboard will keep you up with the latest reviews on your homescreen, always with you even on the weekend or on the toilet seat.
Note: I used a low code editor to create these widgets on Dcoder, the product is in beta, if you apply exclusively through XDA, you can skip the beta queue and get early access.
Click here to get Android reviews widgets.
Happy to hear all my fellow XDA - developers feedbacks.
