[REQ] xda users navipanel - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

hi,
i am not very satisfied with copilot and i am also missing things in htcs navipanel.
i would like to have a media player (audio and video) also in the navipanel or the rss reader that i can listen to podcasts. the navisoftware should also be selectable.
so i thought perhaps you guys can write a better navipanel tool which will replace the htc one.
regards

+1 for the above. I believe it is a missing app for our beloved ppc. It took me hours just to set igo8 running instead of Copilot, and the result is not satisfying at all.
It would be nice to automatically stop wifi when you insert hd2 to the cradle also, adding to the above mentioned. And I do not know if it can be implemented but it would also be nice to have more bluetooth controls over the car's bluetooth, like muting the radio for as long as you want when igo8 gives you directions etc.

Control your PC over bluetooth?

Someone developed an app for SonyEricsson phones:
http://www.jeyo.com/products/JeyoRemote.asp
Would be very cool if someone could do the same for the XDA II / IIs. 8) There's gotta be enough coders here who could manage this.
Would love to lie in bed and control my WinAMP playlist using my XDA II to suit my mood. (Or better to control my wife's mood with my WinAMP playlist? )
pocketpc have an program which is called
therminal services which does that
if one dont like that then there is also pocketVNC which does it aswell
i think there are many other programs which does it aswell
No, it's not so much a slow, bloaty remote-desktop program like NetOp or VNC or similar. It's more like a remote-control (IR-type) keypad which can be programmed to send specific commands to your PC over Bluetooth.
Those remote-desktop programs are just too slow and unworkable on this tiny screen IMHO.
then i guess it comes down to what you want to control is it just audio or is it a spc audio program like winamp
i guess it's just a matter of a program on the pc which just speak with a com port it dont know that it's using bluetooth at all
and a program on the pocketpc which also speak with a com port and send stuff that the pc program interp and control what ever have to be controled
maybe there are programs like that al ready
try looking at

The Jeyo one for the SonyEricsson phones can control anything, it seems...
Salling Clicker
My boss used a program to control his Apple computer, by using his palm-tungsten or his sony-ericsson t610.
That nifty piece of software is called Salling Clicker
http://homepage.mac.com/jonassalling/Shareware/Clicker/
Unfortunately, Jonas Salling is only into macOS and SymbianOS, and not into windowsXP and PocketPC :-(
But if anyone is looking for inspiration for such a tool, this is a great start![/url]
Is anyone up for the challenge of getting Salling Clicker to work for the XDA II?
(Please say yes, 'cause I just set my room up so my bed points at my computer display so I can watch DVDs etc.)
Cheers,
B
I use Total Input Elite Edition to control my laptop - I use it as a bluetooth remote control to control WinDVD, WinAmp and WinTV. The downside is with the built-in bluetooth stack you have to activesync over bluetooth if you want to create a network connection with the laptop and Total Input is a bit slow loading themes (there's a limit of four).

If u only want to remote control winamp why dont try RemoteAmp? Works great!

Hmm, looking at that link...
Is it possible to use the infra-red port of the XDA II to control the TV/VCR/CD Player etc? I seem to remember someone saying a while ago that the IR Port isn't powerfull enough.
Is it possible?

Little Help Please

So I finally got my O2 Orbit2 up and running. In general I am. Getting used to the new control is easier than I thought, changed from a HTC 3300.
The things I don’t like are that the photo and movie viewer only look at where the inbuilt camera stores the files, can I use this viewer to search for things on the storage card?
Same with the music player.
Can I replace the applications on the cube with other applications?
What other great and usefull software is available for it (free I hope)
Is there a UK weather application that will display on the front page?
Thanks
Please look around (and use the search tool), before you start a new thread...
You can't browse whith your HTC Album.
For the music you can use 3rd party apps like MirtPlayer (freeware), or Pocket Music (not freeware).
You customize the Cube manualy or whith a program, look in other threads in the Upgrading Forum.
The HTC Home plugin has a Weather panel, and it should support several UK cities...

problem with bluetooth headset - play/pause, back/for not working

hello,
i have a bluetooth headset philips shb 7100.
The bt-headset paired and connected successful with my device.
But the functions play/pause and back/forward not working.
I can hear music, volume control and the calloptions also working.
Is the reason the widcomm stack in acer neotouch?
There is a solution for this?
OR
knows someone a stereo bt-headset that works with this functions (play/pause,back/for)?
doesn't work for me either
Hi!
I have a motorola HT820, and I can't play/pause/next/previous with it either, all though the headset worked fine with iMate SP5 and HP 614c
The problem seems to be that Acer (or at least the ROMs I'm using) don't support the AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile).
So until someone figures out a way to include this profile, we're stuck!

yes, I read it in the www
I installed the "avrcp agent" (to find here in forum)
Nothing.
What I not understand:
my headset works with the windows media player mobile with this functions, but with no other musicplayer??
(is in the wmp the avrcp support..)
but wmp is not good to use
I am now using jabra bt3030. it works perfectly in AVCRP.
however, the ACVRP funtion only works in WMP default player.
I had tried to use the funtion in pocket music, coreplayer, mortplayer, nitrogen, but all don't work.
Only works in WMP! Don't know why and hope there is a way to solve it. I don't like WMP too.
I find that it now works with WMP, but I'm not sure if it was because I installed AVRCP agent.
(When I was using Rafyvitto's vanilla ROMs, it didn't work even with WMP...)

News!
pocketplayer 4.1 (no freeware) with the plugin "conduit wm adapter 2.31" (gen_wmhost.dll) works!
The plugin must be configure:

Look into the FAQs of S2P on their site. There's a link to a xda-thread where you will find a modified dll which could work with our s200. It disables the hijacking of BT-Signals by the WMP.
I actually would directly the thread, but it's not allowed for new users to post links :-(
Hope it helps...

According to this, AVRCP should work with HTC Music Player as well (not just WMP), but in my case it only works with WMP... but let's check it and see...

I tested s2p with the t-back driver.
no success

+1, mine is ACER neotouch S200 most recent acer ROM. Nothing work with my bluetooth headset philips shb 7100 other than the darn useless boring WMP . Sometime I just want to totally give up window mobile and try something else, but I have already invested too much on window mobile medical applications.
Car audio Bluetooth connection not working
hi...
I see many of you already have had some problems with bluetooth connections with this phone...but all of you say that at least can put the WMP working...
I'm trying to connect my S200 to the car audio (sony from 08 Ford Focus) and it's not working...the car audio system doesn't recognize the phone, but te phone says it's connected...
Is there any known bug for this? any way I can workaround this problem?
Tkx
I use Pocket Player, with plug-in 'Conduits WM Adaptor 2.31', checked to 'Intercept/Override WMP', checked to 'BT Remote Control', after that can use A2DP .
I also use PocketMusic, but still not know how to config A2DP .

Remote Controlling Foobar with HTC HD2

Hi. Hope that this is the correct place to post...
I have been playing this weekend with a Foobar plugin that allows web control.
The web interface that this plug-in creates is skin-able, and indeed somewhat predictably there are already a couple of i-phone themes available. I did get them working well with the HTC HD2.
However the graphics quality is not stellar when an i-phone designed interface is scaled up, so I started having a poke at the javascript code for myself... I am no coder by any means, so I have been adapting other peoples work noteably the IxoFith template at the above link...
So far I have a HTC music playeresque theme working, with the odd glitch here and there, I reckon that a talented javascript programmer could do a lot more a lot faster than I can, anyone up for it?
I will continue to fettle this and eventually will post my code at "Justblair's Audio and Electronics Pages" but if you are interested in seeing what damage a ham fisted amateur can do to some competently written code, either comment at my site or contact me through here and I can get it to you..
It is very scrappy at the moment, though functional. I tried to post images, but outside links are a no no for newbies here. Google my site name if you want a taster. Hopefully the mods will lift the restriction soon.
Off-topic, but another way:
GRemote works VERY well with WinAmp, allowing you to browse all your PC files on your HD2, and play or queue files/folders in WinAmp (even tho I hate WinAmp!). You can also launch any file in whatever app you choose, so I can browse all my movies in a very slinky, fast-scrolling manner on my HD2, and whichever one I click starts playing full-screen (e.g. VLC, GomPlayer etc), and a swipe on my phone then gives me Play/Pause, fast-forward, rewind, volume, next file, full-screen/windowed etc.
Just a suggestion if you like finding new ways to play your media

That's worth a look I am sure. I have tried the freebie version of G-remote which is of course a little limited. I did have a few crashes when using the free version of G-remote, kinda put me off spending on it.
I also happen to like foobar as it has the plug-ins needed to run it as an "audiophile" source, i.e. wasapi and native flac playback. I used winamp a while back and did not like it. I dare say it has improved since then.

Old Phone as Dedicated MP3 Player

Hello, this has probably been talked about before, but I wanted to let anyone interested know how this is working out. I have been doing extensive research on the purchase of a new MP3 player wanting the main features to have Bluetooth A2DP and audible.com compatible.
I realized these features are far and few between, and the players that have these two features are the size of your average WM Phone. When I finally came to this conclusion, I pulled out my old HTC Diamond and have been able to not only have these features, but by turning off the cell radio, I still have wifi, pmp, mp3, A2DP, web browser, touchscreen, etc etc all in one. Needless to say, I love my Diamond again.
I made my today screen bare with just iLauncher on it and wisbar to take away the phone features on top. Other than the hardware buttons, it looks and feels like a good solid MP3 player. Hope this may let other old phones see the light of day again. Thanks for reading.
I gave my old HTC Wizard to my 19 month old daughter to watch her Dora and Yo Gabba Gabba videos on, she also likes the obscene amount of buttons that phone has. So yea, that phone is pretty much just a media player now.
Then allow me to ask then for advise!
I use MediaMonkey on windows to organize my music. I like the program, it suites my needs.
The problem is on the WM phone itself. Which program do you use to listen to music? I've tried Nitrogen, and iMulator... both of them work as they're supposed to. But i could use more. iMulator need to mature, and be a little more customizable. But for a alpha stage, its quite good!
I could use a program with a good media library, probably fullscreen support, touch friendly.
Any advise ?
