Vista Style Iphone-ish Dialer... AWESOME!

I founf this dialer and to me, its perfect... I wish you could change the background, but oh well... to install, run the cab on your device and soft reset

Which device is this for then?

Unfortunately this is for Wisebar Advance. It's not a MOD for the default dialer.

I installed the .cab. Works Great. I don't have Wisebar. Its cool.
I like it -- I Love it --- I want some more of it.

Cool Beans gonna test it.

It installed no problem on my HTC Touch. Remember do a soft reset after you install the .cab file.
Really nice Dial Pad:
Pros:
- Nice looking.
- Slightly bigger digit keys compared to the default dialer
- When a call is in progress the END key is nice and big. I like that!
- When in a call the Mute, Contacts, Hold Call, Mic Mute, Speaker ON and Notes are a lot bigger compared to the default dialer
Cons:
- No SmartDial
- The Incoming phone number and name of the person are still small. I wish developers would realize, I'd rather have the persons' name / phone number showing up in big font, rather than the "Incoming Call..." in big font. I'm using S2U2 to get a bigger Name and Phone number, but I'd rather have 1 app that included this.
- There's a shimmering effect (a la Vista theme) that goes from the top right of the screen through the 6, 9 and 0 digits. I wish you could get rid of this, I haven't found a way to do it. It's a minor gripe.

hmmm... idk if that is true or not... i havent tried it without it... im pretty sure it works either way

Most of the rom Have Dialer Problem

Most of the rom I tried Have Dialer Problem. Or I am missing something? I tried some rom and tried to dial using phone card.. The i had this problem. When i try to tap * Button twice.. it turns into P and W some phone card requires ** command to redial phone numbers. Its takes time to hang up and redial the phone card number then the number Etc. Cause if taping ** turns into P or W the i can't redial the number. I m new so i don't know lot of things. Can some one help me to fix this problem? I liked some roms but i can't use them because of dialer. Thanks

Its annoying!! I have to hangup to redial any number.. Damn!! I used some Roms Before. It worked Perfectly before. Now after Upgrading Rom and dialer.. I have problem. i think I have to go back in old roms.. for thsis problem..

you can try this by any nokia phone . if you press # you can see p .
i check this on my phone

I use the stock dialer when cooking my roms; this is just one of the problems I have experienced. try using the old touch dialer cab to fix this. it may work. otherwise download a rom with a stock dialer like mine. I just edited the origional buttons to look darker for better contrast.

in-call screen --> Manipulate?

Is there any way to manipulate the in-call screen? It puts up this tiny little picture and the rest is this weird blue/gray nothing. It seems as if it would be much better to have the picture much bigger, or include some additional contact information, or just better utilize the space.
Anybody know how to mod this?

Is there a template or something that I need to change? Is there a "skin" file that I can tweak?

Does anybody know what the .cpr file is for the in-call screen? That's all I'm looking for, and I'm striking out.

if i remember right its extcall.dll, dialog "MS_PHONE_CONTACTPICTURE" i've made some small attempts in the past but wasn't to driven to try to make it work. hopes this helps you.

It is a lot more complex than I thought. I've never edited .dll's before... and spending the last day or so trying to get it to work isn't taking me very far.
I might keep trying, but I think I need some assistance. Feel like a bull in a china shop right now, just feeling my way through and not very successfully.

clock and weather same line

Hi all and many thanks for all the great themes out there,
couple of questions have been googling all night but cant find what i'm looking for.
1. I would like to have the time in digital and the weather on the same line so its smaller.
2. remove the words calendar, the alarm and the date, if possible, basicaly declutter the screen.
also is it possible to remove the hotkeys at the bottom but when slide the screen up they all apear again, at the moment i am using the 20 quick key cab, dose any of this make sense lol.
if not will take a screen pic and show you.

thanks mate, installed both them like you said, tried to change my wall paper and when i go back to my home screen it says, unexpected error has occured CHT_Wall.exe quit and then restart.

sussed it but only by in settings clicking on use standard ones, but then they look squashed lol

Dialer Applications

Hey Everyone,
Just wondering what everyone is using as there Dialer??
The Stock one is quite sad considering that you have to click like a few times to call someone...
Is there a application out there that displays all your contacts and you just have to press once on the name to dial?? ( Not like MeContacts that only displays so many for speed dialing)
I was looking at Dialer one but can't seem to download it...seems discontinued or something...
Please give your preference and if you can, why you chose it.

There is 2 in the market place at the moment,
1 that is a paid version but says it's for chinese users but we can use it still and the 2nd one has bugs in it and isn't being continued?

me too looking for something like this , checked superdial, not so impressive though.

Check out Youlu. A number of Android sites have recommended it. I just installed it, and though it could use more options (such as disabling dial-sounds, and hiding of email-only contacts), it looks nice.

wow this is actually better than atakephone, i kinda regret paying for it now!

I always had hard time searching contacts to dial.
I used modified acontacts on my donuts. But im now using Dialer One.
It have call log, dialer. contacts at once. easy to use. and its Free

Going to try Youlu and Dialer one out right now and see which one I like better!

Another vote for Superdial. I've been using it for a few months now, can't live without it. It's definitely one of the best dialers out there.
My main concern is having quick and easy access to contacts without having to click through 17 menus to get to them. I simply start spelling the name of the contact and it appears, tap their name and it's calling. Takes a mere 2 seconds before I'm calling the person I want.
