I started this thread to hear about creative/brilliant ideas to create a Home Tab without a slider, using standard Manila settings and/or existing mods (so no coding).
What I did is, disable in settings all Manila Tabs except 5 (including Home and Settings), and create shortcuts for the other tabs, and put them as quick links in Co0kie Home Tab. Problem is that I have not been able to create shortcuts for all Manila Tabs.
Please share your ideas

Ok, for the start menu, is there any place that I could go to that has custom icons for the folders in the start menu? Also, how would I remove the battery indicator from the taskbar(top bar on phone)? I have tried the registry edits, but none work for me, is there a cab file or some other way to do it? I have a Samsung Blackjack 2 and its running wm 6.1.
You're lucky that I've also been looking into these matters for a while. And I think I've got the answers for all of your questions (and more). I'll share my collections here, but maybe not one time for all. I'll continue to edit this post to try covering everything about icons. So just bookmark your thread and keep looking for updates.
Here first some un-organized links to check into:

For the battery stytus icon on today screen, FInixNOver have two threads discussing about this, one of them is:
[SKN] Customizing the Windows Taskbar [UPDATE-26/10/2008]
For remove it from taskbar, there is a registry tweak, but seems not working well for all WM6 & up OS builds, it will leave an ugly empty space on taskbar for some OS builds. The registry need to create is: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell]
"TBOpt":
dword:0 -> show battery
dword:1 -> show clock
dword:2 -> show date
dword:3 -> show date and clock together
Using above should be combined with the following key:
At least you can change it to display clock instead of battery stytus by tweaking this registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell]
"ShowTitleBarClock":
dword:0 -> show battery
dword:1 -> show clock
Does anyone know where to change the font sizes and menu heights for generic menus? I've changed them for the Manila (Sense) menus but that doesn't affect the rest of the Windows menus. See the screenshots for a better understanding.
You can see that the menus in Outlook E-mail are larger than on the main Home screen.
Edit: Let me preface this by saying I'm on NRG's latest ROM from 04/06/2010 with Cookie's Home tab.
I have installed an app, that I really like, but I can not remember it's name and can not figure out which app it is on my phone. Embarrassing I know
Here are it's features:
Renamed the Setting icon in the Start menu to Manila Settings.
An additional new Settings icon is created with these program incons with in it: Bluetooth, Clock & Alarm, Lock, Sounds & Notifications, Today, Connections, Personal, System, and Microsoft My Phone. Each of these program icons has programs within.
What did I install to create this app?
Thanks in advance.

Uhmmmm sounds like you are just looking in the stock Settings folder to me other then the Manila settings folder.
It's not a program, I think you enabled windows menu in BsB Tweaks. That is the same menu you get if you slide the slider to settings and click menu then all settings. BsB just enables it to appear in the start menu.
Bsb Tweak 1.6 or Cookie's Home Tab. very likely to be one of those.
Hello.
I am a new user of Co0kie's Home tab and I am wondering whether it is possible to link a quicklink button to some of the files I have on my memory card. Those files don't appear on the list of items one can add to the quicklink buttons.
For instance how do i link a specific excel file I often use to a quicklink button?
Thanks
I have wm6.5 but the start menu is very full of apps and i want to remove quick links ( i want more clean home screen ) since we have programs menu everywhere is possible to do that ?
install Cookie's home tab, then you can customized as you like.
i also prefer a clean home, so i have 1 clean level and another level full of Quicklink
thanks , is working

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Is there a cab file or a registry edit to remove the quicklinks without installing Cookie's home tab ?
