Bluetooth portable speakers for Nexus One? - Nexus One Accessories

Can anyone recommend a compatible bluetooth speaker for the Nexus One?
I tried my friend's wireless speakers for his Sony Ericsson Satio but my phone couldn't even detect it.
I'm looking at the Sony Ericsson MBS-100/200 at present.

What are you looking to spend? I use the $200 foxL by Soundmatters, but that may be out of your budget. Another I like a lot are the Ipevo Tubulars.

I bought the Yamaha NX-B02 when they use to be $39.99 with free shipping from Newegg a while ago.
Newegg: Yamaha - Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Speaker (Compatible w/ iPhone) NX-B02WH [CNet Review]
Looks like they've gone up in price. The MSRP was $199.99 and when it first hit the street, it was around $139.99.
Works great with my BB 9700 & N1 and even at $59.99, still a decent deal for what it does but when it was $39.99, it was hot.
Cheers,
Kermee
P.S. I've seen white & black versions of it, but I think I've seen other colors too.

Personally I'd wait until next month when Creative's bluetooth Z100 and Z200 speakers hit the market. They're supposed to be pretty sweet and priced well

Did you know the Desktop Dock for the Nexus One is Bluetooth?
You can use it without putting the phone in the dock.
You can manually connect to it and all sounds/media will be sent to the dock.
You can then use the 3.5mm headphone jack out from the dock and plug it into a stereo.

The nexus one dock is damn expensive. I'm using a case also so it will be a problem.
I only have limited budget, at only around $50.
I decided to purchase the Sony Ericsson MBS-200

I think you need to re-read my message again.
The Nexus One desktop Dock is BLUETOOTH. You do NOT need to put the phone in the dock to connect to it. It's pretty cool. And it's $40. And you can plug it into any stereo.
I was lucky and got one on eBay for $40 free ship too

It's also not portable as the thread title asked for. You'd have to plug the over priced dock in where ever you take it.

It has the bluetooths and can connect to your entertainment center...
The worst part is the crossed-out $99.99 next to the price, as if it was ever sold for that much.
There are laws against that kind of thing in some countries - that is, saying something is on sale when it isn't.

It should be whatever they can get. if it doesn't sell, they're charging too much and the price will drop. And materials aren't the only costs that go into developing the product

I got a dock on eBay second hand for 30gbp bit expensive but sooooo worth it there is no alternative to an OEM dock such a snug fit. As for the Bluetooth that's got to be a lie! No where in the unit is there a Bluetooth icon. Very strange

The phone connects by bluetooth to the dock for audio, which is why there's a 3.5mm jack on the back of the phone without a connection to the nexus's audio port.

Seriously? No headphones?

How can they not include a set of headphones?
I have my own for music pair, they have a mic but they're in-ear so they make me talk louder than I should. I was hoping to have another pair for phone usage. :/
Anyone know of a cheap pair I could get?
I got a set, heavily discounted, of the ink'd Skullcandy (ugh) when I picked up the phone this morning. Better than nothing, and dirt cheap.

a pair of cheap headphones cost at max like what, $2-$4?
I can buy an HDMI cable myself for $5. LG can probably obtain them in bulk for $2 each.
SD cards are a little more expensive, so I can understand that because they included some internal storage. But still, a 4GB card is pretty cheap. But I don't care, I have a collection of microSDs from a 512mb to a couple 8GBs. I have my 16GB inside right now.

dont forget no hdmi / mini hdmi to connect it to the phone that they are so adamant about advertising for. (not as easy to find as a normal hdmi/hdmi cable)
Got these from newegg for my Samsung Vibrant after the headphones Samsung gave me broke. So far they've been great for the price and I love the quality of the wire. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826735014&Tpk=m9p
I bought Jlab j3m earbuds from amazon and just tested them out. Sound quality is great, and the mic also works well with the g2x. 1 click of the button will pause/play the music or answer/hang up call. A long press brings up the voice dialer but it doesn't work- it gets stuck on 'starting up'.
Has anybody experienced a similar issue of a stuck voice dialer?
Maybe this can be fixed with a different rom?
I'm using a pair of nuforce ne8 that I bought from Amazon for 50. These headphones sound great and has lasted 2 years and counting. Hope this helps

I agree. I'd rather not have to be forced to pay for cheap headphones or a dinky 2-4GB card anyway since most people like me would upgrade to something bigger and better.
The dual cores make this piece of hardware pretty pricey ..

its the way of the future m'boy! everything is made in china with the cheapest of the cheap, and amenities are a thing of the past.
BUT...I am loving my g2x so far, even though the whole no sd card or earphones, is bs. thats like wsamsung not including a flash on the GS...whats up with that?
but so far most of the other complaints have not appeared on my g2x runs sweet. I did end up sticking a C4 16gb card inside, and that did seem to help a lot!

How many people actually use the cheap headphones iPods and cell phones come with? Go to the 99 cents store and those are the quality that comes with most cell phones.
You should buy some decent headphones that will last you through several cell phones. The Klipsch IMAGE S4 is very good. Pricey but you will hear sounds and bass you can't hear with cheap ones. I had Shures and other ones but the Klipsch is my favorite ones.

Found a dock that works with the Z1 Compact

Hi all,
I just received the DK31 dock from here:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Magnet...=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1391267223&sr=1-1
I wasn't sure if it would work with the Z1c as Sony have a new version DK32. However, I can confirm the magnetic dock works fine with one of the included inserts. And the best thing is, you can take the dock apart by the screws and just use the cable instead of the dock if you want to.
Price is on par with other official mobile phone docks but it's pricey if you just want it for the magnetic charging cable.
Cheers,
Pete.

Cant honestly tell you and would not know how to check. I am using the standard charger and cable which is plugged into the micro usb connector in the back of the dock. Seems to charge pretty quick to me. Dont really know why the standard usb connector is there really.
Has anyone seen a similar product on ebay? Amazon don't send to where I live
+1 on the cheap Z1 dock. Mine arrived yesterday.
Amazon also stocks little usb attachments which convert standard micro usb to the magnetic charging type. Confirm these work also - they just hang a little loose, but seem to charge while sat on the desk just fine and save me fiddling with the micro usb flap.
PS. Noticed the cheap dock has an additional USB port which can charge the smartwatch at the same time.
more stock due approx 20th February - DK32
Clove.co.uk will have stock of the official dock on 20 February £24.99
I bought a cheap no-name magnetic charger from ebay (bad idea, I know) - it was supposed to be compatible with the Z1 so I thought it would work with this. My Z1c didn't recognize it initially, then switched off and seemed to be bricked - couldn't get it to boot up and just got the flashing red notification light (I had 75% battery remaining when I tried to connect the charger). A day later it started working again, but I was panicking for a moment. I'm going to buy the official DK31 dock and remove the charger from that.
Bought the dk32 dock on Amazon and am disappointed. I thought it integrated the charger too when in fact you plug the charger into it.
Overpriced (32€) for what it is

Replacement USB-C to 3.5mm adapter?

I don't even know why Motorola trusted me with this tiny ass adapter But I lost the darn thing in a day. Does anyone know where to find a replacement that isn't from China and won't take a month to get here? I tried contacting Motorola about it but all they said was contact Verizon, which is useless considering they don't sell it. Any advice?
Not an answer, but similar question...does anyone know if a usb c to 3.5 mm male cord exists?
My headphones have a removeable cord 3.5mm male on both ends...itd be nice to have a cable as opposed to an adapter.

Yeah they're pretty cheap, but they all come from China.
I am thinking that will be the only option as the original is from China...and I briefly looked into it when I first bought the phone, I was then unlucky enough to receive a defective device and returned it for a replacement...well the adapter was in the bag not the box so I got a spare for the inconvenience of returning to the store.
Bump. Has anyone found a seller in the states? The only places that seem to sell them are from China.
Honestly, if you're a regular listener to music it might be time to go BT.
I've been using BT almost exclusively for a long time and and it's really nice.
First, no tangling of cords. No having to un-knot the mess when you take 'em out of your pocket or bag... no worry about snagging them on something when I'm sitting on the bus communicating to work.
Second, additional controls. Most BT headsets have controls for volume as well as track control so you can adjust without having to open the music app on your phone if you playing a game, checking email, or reading a book. Or...
Third, you don't need to be right next to your phone. You could have your phone tucked away in a purse or bag or briefcase or backpack and still listen to music. Or you could have it sitting on the charge on the counter while you're moving around the house... as long as you're not too far away of course.
Not, I'm not a serious audiophile, so I admit that there may be some degradation of sound quality going via BT. It's no problem for me, but I can understand that it might be so for some people. But unless your the type that really needs super good sound quality... or you just don't have the extra cash handy, BT is the way to go in my humble opinion.

I too only found ones from China, and I finally found a listing in the US for the exact same product in the chinese listings, the white one, and I bought 3 of them. Huge mistake, don't go for them. They don't support stereo headphones :silly:
Huge waste of money. I too decided to go bluetooth as the poster above me, I use a pair of Beats Studio 2.0 (I know you guys hate beats, blah blah blah) and they work great. I did manage to RMA my phone though, as I was having some issues with the power button, and they just sent me a completely new Moto Z Force Droid in box, so I have a spare turbo charger and a new headset adapter

Just came across two eBay listings for what appear to be OEM replacement adapters (SKN6474A), thought I'd share (after I bought two for myself, natch). Kinda weird: same seller, but the first link is for $7.99 Buy-It-Now, the 2nd is for $9.99 but accepting offers. Haven't received them yet so can't say for sure they're the real deal, but the seller has 100% with 150 ratings. Act quick!

Earphone in package?

Hey guys , I was wondering why did Sony include really bad quality ear phone with the xz premium? it is a really old junk they give with it..
It was free, why complain.
They didn't include any at all.
The one thing that grinds by gear is that they tell you in the starter guide to only use the included cable or you may damage the device.
If they put that kind of request, they should include at least three cables.
But regarding ear phones, I'm glad they didn't include any, I always let them stay in the box unopened.
Yea, my phone didn't come with any earphones at all. But the site I preordered from had a preorder bonus which gave me Sony SBH54 for free.
