Desire Battery - Desire Accessories

My boss has seen a 2400 mah battery for the nexus one that is the same part number as a stock desire battery, would this work in the desire?
Could it cause any problems?

The back door provided for your boss's nexus one won't fit yours. If you can get one, let us know which one! The only other extended batteries i've seen are 3200 mah, and I think that's too much for me. I think 2000+ would be perfect.

I too have an original nexus one battery which fits and works great on my Desire.

does the 3200mah battery fit well with the desire and where can i find these? its 2 times the battery life duration right?

Just to clarify he owns a desire not a nexus one.
But there is a battery being solder under the name of nexus one, but the part number corresponds with a desire battery, so presumably it would work since they are the same part number?

a link would be interesting

Seidio Extended Battery

Hi.. this is for sale on Ebay. What you think, worth to buy?
Its a Seidio 1600 ma battery that fits in without new back cover... £28...
###Edit### I checked Seidio's website and theres no battery for Desire... so this must be for Nexus One. Just wonder they really are 100% compatible? ##
T-mobile promised to send me a new one, but they are out of stock so they refunded my accounr with £20 to buy one on my own. Not sure if this one is good/safe etc...(?)
Thanks

Seems good 'on paper'. But I never understood why a phone's manufacturer wouldn't supply a device with the highest capacity possible (with the same size) unless it had 'adverse' effects on something, no matter how small.

Keep cost down, like not providing a case or docking station.
Just wonder how much more would the +200 mah do. Seidio seems to be a known brand though - also if it is for Nexus - is it really the same battery?
It does look as though the battery for the Desire is the same as for the Nexus One. Both seem to quote part number BA S410 tor the standard battery.
Tested it - I tried the Seidio Nexus One in the Desire and it works perfectly.
So whats the battery life like then? Is a 14% increase going to be noticed?
What would be great is two batteries in parallel covered by a skin with no back plate!

TBH id want one of these
http://mobile.engadget.com/2010/03/29/seidio-3200mah-nexus-one-battery-hands-on/
Wow seems like the 3200 has amazing battery life but everyone is complaining about the back cover.
Im sure this would work fine in the desire - just need a skin which will cover it without the backplate on at all but with lens cover and we are all sorted!
you know what?? i need clarity on extended life battery so bear with me. Does this go ontop of normal battery hence doubling life. or is it just a bigger capacity replacement battery so longer battery.
Sorry i just needed a bit of clarity
it has the same width/height as standard battery (fits in slot) but double the thickness almost like to stacked on top of each other in parellel. That means the original backing plate wont fit on anymore so they supply a replacement.
Checkout the video from the nexus one forum

Quite possibly worse than the stock battery - get batteryboss to test it
The site says:
Best replacement for the original battery with comparable standby and talk time.
They are probably the same as the orginal batteries just rebadged as 1500maH. This has been the experience with similar battereis for the HD2. By the way, that seller does no have a good feedback score. I think I might wait for other sellers to appear.
Watch out, cuz it's from China
just like almost everything these days including most handsets
Has there been some announcements from proper companies who are working on a solid high capacity battery? or just rumours?
and so; which companies are most likely to sell those batteries, so I can keep an eye open

I hope they will come up with something with the same size and 1400/1500 mah, that would be great

Seidio or Mugen Power?
Hi all, does anyone know when seidio or mugen power will come with a extended battery for the DHD? i'm waiting to get my DHD until one of these come out with a battery i need at least a day of heavy use with my phone.
I know mugen power has a 1800mah battery for the legend (standard 1300mah) so they will have something for us soon maybe 1650mah for the DHD...
Maybe an EVO 4G battery will fit?

It won't. Think I saw a short clip when they compared EVO and DHD.
They specifficly tried the battery.
No the evo battery will not fit because evo has a removable back cover and the dhd has a unibody design this makes them different from each other. I don't think the dhd is the world version from evo, it's a phone released in europe with different design, different os version, newer chipset and no 4g, no kickstand etc so very different from eachother in my opinion..
is the HTC Desires battery the same one as the HD mini ? I thought i read somewhere that they are the same
am gonna wait for the mugen batteries to come out, thats if an extended battery is possible on the dhd case and then hopefully an otterbox case when they develope one.
I am about to purchase the DHD finally .

1950 mah mugen htc 3d battery

Ok so we know that the htc 3d has the same battery container as the sensation and they can interchange battery's between eachother, if this is the case then the following battery designed by mugen for the htc 3D should fit in the sensation am i wrong ??.

I can deal with the 1gb of storage, its the battery life the drives me MAD. We'll see just how much this 2.3.4 update will improve battery life. I can't see it doing a lot but fingers crossed though.

so between chichitec and anker which one has the titled capacity? I found many ppl report the anker only got 1700mAh. Poor me that I just ordered 2 of them with thoughts of 1900mAh each.......
My Mugen sensation 1800 mah came yesterday ...
So I ordered this evo 3d today because it should give additonal 150 mah, which is approx 10% more than the orignal stock battery.
The evo 3d from HTC with 1730mahwas fitting without any problems, so I hope that the Mugen evo 3d will do the same.
Best regards,
dingolino

same size does not make it same capacity anyway, lol.
@dingolino : so the mugen 1950Mah, what do you think of that?
Has anyone tried this in a Sensation? Mugen is a reputable battery company so I wouldnt be surprised if its actual capacity is 1950. I would gladly buy one if it fit.
I have a Mugen for my HD2 and was very happy with it.
Now I have the Muggen 1800mAh for the Sensation a few days and I can see improofement over the HTC 1730mAh from the Evo, so I would expect from the new Mugen Evo 1950 an even better result.
So far my experience with Mugen is good!

I doubt you'll find a genuine battery for $15. There's not point in going cheap on a battery, it just causes problems.
If you can't afford one right now save for another week or two and get a real HTC battery.

YES it can! Bad non quality batteries often can overheat and be dangerous and ignite and start a fire in the house! I so wouldnt go with this replacement! Cheap and 100% label is lying... Battery for Sensation XE-1730 mAh
I have a sensation XE. and its in a desperate need of a battery change. now i have 2 options as i'm from India.
1) Original HTC battery 1730 mAh
2) Anker 1900 mAh
Please can someone help me with the pros and cons of anker.
also are the dimensions of the anker battery and the stock battery the same? i mean exactly the same?
last question: Sensation users feel a big difference when using anker (thats what ive learnt from reading threads) but is the difference that big for a sensation XE user. Given that the XE had 1730 mAh stock battery.
Please reply soon. thanks

I'm from India and i recently bought 1730 mAh sensation xe/evo 3D battery for my sensation through ebay.It is pretty good.As you can see the original price of anker is max of 10$.They are importing from US and charging a huge amount for that.So i advice you to go for 1730 mAh battery.
