Auto Retry Reply?? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Maybe this isn't such a prominant issue for some... but Whenever I'm at home.. I have to deal with the worst reception ever... its a pain having a conversation with anyone or even trying to text... (although once i leave my parking lot.. i get 3g network speeds... which i find ridiculous..... ) but either way...
there are times when my text... doesn't go through.. and this little alert comes up and a exclamation point pops up by the message itself... now i have to keep on clicking that message and hitting "retry" retry retry retry... until it actually goes through...
my question is... is it even possible to have some sort of app... that makes a unsent sms just automatically keep trying until it actually gets sent?? without me constantly pushing it?? it would be nice to just send a text.. and just know that if it doesn't go through.. that it will just keep trying until it succeeds....
anyone else thinks that this would be handy??

YES!! This would be amazing... but I have hunted and waited and hunted some more and this app doesn't seem to exist.

i feel the same way... and I'm glad you agree... i honestly thought i was the only one... but yea i know its something that could be developed quite easily.. I'm just not talented enough unfortunately

Yeah... I would think that it would be something like turning the message delivery notification off. So, instead of a message delivery notice, the program would keep resending until prompted of delivery. It would proberly be something that would require a lot of work, though because it would need to be embedded in the sms program. I tried Pyrobob's sms and it did give me a popup that said, "retrying" when a message failed, but I have a Fuze, use wm6.1 (personal preference), and didn't like it. Meh... maybe we are closer than we realize to getting what we want

Hey guys!
Maybe this registry entry here is what you're looking for?

I just downloaded this. I have already mapped my buttons as needed. However, I constantly find myself looking for options to add something new - New Contact, New Meeting, etc. So I will just put this as one of the items righ on my strart menu and will give it a little workout! I will report back to let everyone know how it goes...
works good
It works good, just have to make sure it's installed on the device not the mem card.
Thank you .

Doesn't work on my Tilt
Every time I try to run HTC Action on my AT&T Tilt, it brings up an error saying:
'The file 'HTCActionScreen' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.'
I've done reinstalls a few times, with soft resets, etc. I just cannot get it to work.
My co-worker has the same phone and his works fine.
Any ideas?
Changing Font

Graphics bugging in touch flo, normal?

That happens to me from time to time. Sometimes I'm doing something and it suddenly happens, sometimes it's happened while the screen's been turned off and no programs have been running in background.
So is this a normal TF3D feature, or should I contact warranty services?
The graphics everywhere else are normal, it just seems to affect the TF3D.
Have you tried a hard reset? No that is definitely not normal... try a hard reset. If that doesnt solve it you should probably contact warrenty services.
Mine does it too. It also produces an effect that looks a bit like a 'broken screen', AND sometimes, just for fun, it pretends it's an old analogue TV that someone unplugged the aerial from (ie snow). All have been covered elsewhere on XDA. Mine has been doing it since day one (along with GPS lag about as long as a Nimitz class carrier) and three months later it still keeps on plodding along, annoying the hell out of me, making me wish I haden't wasted £479.99 on it....
On a more practical note, it looks like you have altered your Touch Flo a bit, mine has problems with the bog standard ROM and with customisations to the Manila.
*EDIT* Actually, it looks like your Touch Flo is bog standard so i'll shut up. Ahem.
Hehe yeh, it's the standard TF3D, and yes I've tried hard reset, no help. Sent the phone to the shop I bought it from, let's see if they can do anything about it.
Unfortunately the place I bought mine from doesn't take returns after 28 days. I have funally badgered HTC support into offering a repair, but I have a bad feeling that the will simply send it back and say it's okay (then give me a bill, LOL ; )
I'm actively considering flashing another ROM but can't make up my mind.... Hope the shop you bought it from replaces it : )

Alphabet in music library

Hello,
I'm wondering if this would be possible..
In the people tab you have this nice alphabet at the side of the screen:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Why is there not such a search think in the music tab / library?
If someone can make this for me / us.. I will donate
Now when i want a song that start with the Z in need to scroll all the way down.. and that takes too long
I also send HTC a email about this
Nobody?
Yeah i agree, this would be very useful. Going through the tracklist at the moment is a pain.
Anyone have any ideas ?
I have a response from HTC in Dutch
They said it would maybe get solved in WM6.5
And the guy said he has send the request to the developers of HTC.
I send him a email back with the message WM6.5 won't solve it because it's a problem in TF3D.
And now i'm waiting for a response back
ill also donate a little bit. if it works.

Nice
Too bad i don't know how this stuff works.. so i can't give it a try
But if there are any developers who would like to help us.. We will donate
I would also like to see this implemented!
i have lots of MP3 on my Topaz, in TF3D it takes about 10-15 seconds until it shows up (I guess because of the album pictures).
If I want to browse through the tracks it takes a lot of time to get to the Letter where I want to go.
This would be great!
I'm having the problem too that it's shows up really late..
And i asked HTC if they could make a .cab file for it..
They only sad they had send it again to the developers
So probably no cab file but maybe in the new manila versions
I hope they can do it
EDIT: I've send a email back and waiting for a response at the moment
This feature would be awesome. It should be standard in every list in TF3D.
New response from HTC...
They don't know sure it there is coming a cab file or it will be build in the new roms...
They only know that the guy has send a request to the developers..
So maybe a developer here can make a cab file for us?

in-call screen --> Manipulate?

Is there any way to manipulate the in-call screen? It puts up this tiny little picture and the rest is this weird blue/gray nothing. It seems as if it would be much better to have the picture much bigger, or include some additional contact information, or just better utilize the space.
Anybody know how to mod this?
Contact picture on incoming call
I found an answer here:
Samsung SGH-i200 - FAQ - 4PDA
Is it possible to increase the contact picture on incoming call by regular means, ie no extra software?

If you disable Samsung-style dialer the photo caller is displayed on the screen size.

Our try "PHOTO CONTACTS PRO WM Smartphone Edition".
Thanks.
But, it doesn't seem to change anything. The phone still looks the same with incoming our outgoing calls.
Is there a template or something that I need to change? Is there a "skin" file that I can tweak?
Does anybody know what the .cpr file is for the in-call screen? That's all I'm looking for, and I'm striking out.
if i remember right its extcall.dll, dialog "MS_PHONE_CONTACTPICTURE" i've made some small attempts in the past but wasn't to driven to try to make it work. hopes this helps you.
or... you can give this a try, i can't tell you if it'll work for you or not.

Thanks.
It is a lot more complex than I thought. I've never edited .dll's before... and spending the last day or so trying to get it to work isn't taking me very far.
I might keep trying, but I think I need some assistance. Feel like a bull in a china shop right now, just feeling my way through and not very successfully.

Dialer Applications

Hey Everyone,
Just wondering what everyone is using as there Dialer??
The Stock one is quite sad considering that you have to click like a few times to call someone...
Is there a application out there that displays all your contacts and you just have to press once on the name to dial?? ( Not like MeContacts that only displays so many for speed dialing)
I was looking at Dialer one but can't seem to download it...seems discontinued or something...
Please give your preference and if you can, why you chose it.
Thank you all for your input.
Chad
check out superdial
There is 2 in the market place at the moment,
1 that is a paid version but says it's for chinese users but we can use it still and the 2nd one has bugs in it and isn't being continued?

me too looking for something like this , checked superdial, not so impressive though.
Check out Youlu. A number of Android sites have recommended it. I just installed it, and though it could use more options (such as disabling dial-sounds, and hiding of email-only contacts), it looks nice.
wow this is actually better than atakephone, i kinda regret paying for it now!
I always had hard time searching contacts to dial.
I used modified acontacts on my donuts. But im now using Dialer One.
It have call log, dialer. contacts at once. easy to use. and its Free
Try it

Going to try Youlu and Dialer one out right now and see which one I like better!
Another vote for Superdial. I've been using it for a few months now, can't live without it. It's definitely one of the best dialers out there.
My main concern is having quick and easy access to contacts without having to click through 17 menus to get to them. I simply start spelling the name of the contact and it appears, tap their name and it's calling. Takes a mere 2 seconds before I'm calling the person I want.
