I understand this is a longshot but is there an emulator or something that allows windows mobile apps to run in Android?
I'm thinking something along the lines of Cydia or Wine for Linux.
its not a longshot. its a NOshot.

Greetings,
I'm embarking on a new journey to rooting and putting a "custom" ROM onto my phone. However I've never modified an android phone, so this process is all new to me.
Obviously the first step would be rooting my phone, but from there I'm stuck. I'm using a Samsung-SM-J320A, and I'd like to keep the main features of the OS (look and data that's already installed), but upgrade the actual Android version. It's currently running Android 7.1.1, though I'd like to upgrade it to 8.1 (Oreo).
I do understand the header of the forum said "no noobs", but I cannot for the life of me find a method to pull the existing ROM that's installed on my phone off and modify it.
Any assistance is welcome. (Apologies if this is not in the right category/titled correctly)

development help is needed for the Android 12 migration, if people have experience working with AOSP or Android app development
there's currently a serious issue involved dexpreopt that needs to be resolved in order to continue work on the migration to Android 12
we expected to have more developers working on the migration than we do

there are multiple issues, it's fairly obviously broken atm after being built
we need help with figuring out what's wrong and resolving it or the migration can't continue

continued support for any of the currently supported devices depends on the Android 12 migration
Android 11 GrapheneOS won't have any further releases and isn't actively developed anymore
we've done a lot of work on the Android 12 migration already but most is still remaining and some serious problems have come up blocking any progress

when I get root in my Oukitel wp17, will there be someone who will give a hand in starting the impact of hardware on the use of my everyday realities. is there any chance you can introduce me to something. I suspect you will need root. I wonder how the manufacturer does this by paying??

Hello,
Could you please help to define HDMI custom resolutions/timings in Android 12 on Rock 5B?
The already existing article (https://wiki.radxa.com/Rock/Hdmi_Resolution) is outdated - there are no files mentioned in the article in Android 12 (drivers/video/rockchip/hdmi/hdmi-lcdc.c).
The custom resolution/timings are required for different displays, for example square 2.9 inch 1440x1440 px.
Thanks!
