Flashing at the moment, had to remove batt. to boot into RA. Because it was stuck at the HTC Screen for 30 mins. How long did it take for you, if you installed it for it to boot up? [ Did a Full Factory Wipe, Davlik Cache and all. ] Doing it for the second time.

Tried flashing twice and both times froze at lock screen. I couldnt even get into the rom to check out how everything else was. wiped everything

Very strange. I've been able to and i know for sure one other was able to get it to flash and work. Was it locking at the lockscreen or the boot animation. If at boot animation then that takes awhile. If at lockscreen then ill have to figure it out.
it was at the lock screen. the lock screen came up and then as soon as the task bar would say preparing SD card it would freeze. i waiting like 10 minutes after it froze and nothing happened.
Hmmm weird, after i flashed (i only wiped data, and dalvik) it was stuck on the lock screen for a second then rebooted and now im in fine. had a couple hiccups trying to get one of the keyboards to work.. they both kept FC'ing but finally got the stock one to work... ill check this out and get back to you smurph.

reboot the phone it took about 20min for it to read my sim.The fcs should appear less after reboot.
can u post what does the room look like?

I tried rebooting it after flashing I seen much less fc but I still didn't read my simcard did u do something special so that it could read it
Hom progress with wifi fix Ace?
Ok had a Sidekick 4G rooted and custom rom installed and I sold it to a friend. Well they took it to a T-Mobile store and the guy factory reset it (for what reason idk) and she told me the phone would come back on.. I tried entering CWM recovery and was able to but the phone stays stuck on the boot screen everytime I try to reboot it and the only way to turn it off is to do a battery pull..
Can anyone help me fix this problem like asap please? Thanks for any and all help..

Tried and I get a voice saying something like "convert data partition, not enough space on partition"
And now I gotta wait to try something else cause the battery just died and she has the charger.. WTF lol
then u have to odin.. that happened to me and the only way i fixed it was by going back to stock and starting all over.

Can you tell me how I do that please? Rooting the Sidekick was my first time every doing anything like that..
there is a odin thread on the dev sec tion it sticked under all def roms modem , etc

Naw took about 2 hours but I was eating with the fam.. But followed the ODIN steps and I'm back to factory setting.. Thanks for all the help.. Now I gotta ask her if she wanted it rooted again or not..

I wanted to try a different ROM since I've been using the same one for about a year. I booted into CWM and flashed and followed all the directions about wipe this, reset that. But it will not boot into the ROM. It just stays at the Samsung loading screen. Any ideas on how to fix this?
What rom did you come from? Suggest take it back to stock...with qkster one click and then using his one clock install cwm..then install your new ROM...btw what ROM are you trying to install....see my signature links...to look for one click...lb3 thread...
Can you link me to the right app? I feel like if I guess and try a download it will be wrong.
I was coming from a CM7 build trying to go to Aeon or Zeus or back to the same rom, I kept them all on my SD Card. I'll try going back to stop, and installing CWM.

As Joe has recommended, going back to stock with any of the packages will get you out of that boot loop.
You can also try to flash entropy's dd kernel a few times with power off between each flash and then flash your ROM. You can also try flashing the rom you want 2 or 3 times to see if it will take.
The changes in CM9 cwm 5.xxx kernel need to be flashed over a few times.

To get the Stock android boot animation the easiest thing to do is delete the bootanimation.zip and reboot to your stock Android animation. Its embeded into the os. Ill have a video up soon of me doing in on my busted phone for proof

It's not a compressed zip file. It's just storage. Then you'll have to copy it to system/customize/resource after you've renamed the one that's in there. (something like bootanimation.zip.old) Then hit paste and set permissions to match your old one. Reboot & check out your handiwork.
