Hello you guys. Is there any app for this pupose. There is an application for betamax clients for iPhone called as lowcaller.Simply you dial where ever you wanna call and it automatically add local access number to your dialing number. So you don't need to call local access number first and than after the prompt to dial the number you want to talk.
Many thanks

I believe you can blacklist them temporarily. Its in the edit contacts form. Hope this helps.

Add the number as a unique contact and then edit the contact where you would change the ringtone, in there is an option to send it to voicemail. At least on AOSP, dunno for other skins.
Or if you want to do it in a more complicated way...
Try Tasker, that will let you blacklist people, depending on your location, the time of the day etc etc
I've been searching for a few days now with no luck. I'm looking for a Phone app that has your sms inbox included.
Ultimately I'd wish for the default Android Phone app, axe the "Favorites" tab and replace said tab with a shortcut to your SMS inbox.
Are there any apps out there that do something similarly? My reason for looking is purely for screen space efficiency though an all-in-one app seems like a good idea for consolidation since both functions use your carrier's cell service regardless...
Please & thanks for any suggestions.

So I don't know about you guys but more recently, I've been getting a TON of unwanted soliciation mostly surrounding credit card consolidation. According to VZW (good 'ol #611), our TBs have a native function to block #s in our Call History. I've never known this before and using BAMF SOAB I couldn't find it. Anyone know of other ways?
I've never checked into a native function, but if you use google voice you can set up any number to go directly to voicemail, completely block them and setup custom voicemail greetings on a per person basis. It has a lot of nice options and those are all free. You also might want to get your phone number on the do not call registry if it's not already at https://www.donotcall.gov/

Yeah thanks man, I registered some years ago but it isn't stopping these guys. The problem is they're calling from different #s, all of which are unreturnable too. GV would be nice but this is my direct #, not my GV.
When you click on Phone ...click on Menu and then go to Blocked Callers you can add them there...a bit time consuming as I cannot get it too add them by long pressing on their info in the call list...
Just reread your post... your running BAMF SOAB...I am still a stock newb not sure if you have that feature still.
Google voice options are tied to your cell number if you go through the setup. I don't even use the assigned google voice number for anything, but i do use the blocking feature and those numbers don't make it to my cell any longer. But if they use a lot of different numbers, i don't know what to suggest.

You have to re-register every year.
FYI - Making telemarketing calls to a cell number is illegal.

The link for filing a complaint with the FCC is on that site as well.
I use an app called Call Control, it allows me to allow calls from contacts only, all others go directly to voice mail.
You may want the paid version, it's well worth it in my opinion.
Have you tried any of the apps from the marketplace? i know they have one called blacklist.

I use "mr number". Its free, and it has great filtering options as well as caller id. You can set it to block, pickup/hangup, send to vm, block texts. Its keeps an easily accessable log. Its one of my favorite apps

Before this tablet was released and the rumors were flying about specs and features, I thought I read somewhere that we would possibly be able to "tether" in a way from our phone and be able to send texts from our tablet using our cell phone's number basically. Does anyone else remember hearing this rumor too and better yet, is this feature available and anyone know how to enable it?
Try MigtyText if your phone is android. Works for me

Yes it possible, I've been using Google voice free from the play store, just set up Google voice which will give u a gvoice phone number and you should be able to make calls and send text messages over any wifi. The only down side is that you can't receive calls so if somebody calls they will be asked to leave a voice mail and you will receive a email with the voice mail to download and listen to.. In my opinion its awesome cause its free and it works

You install the app on your phone, not the Note
Then you send texts from the web page on the Note

One word answer: YES
Tablet Talk Paid app, syncs to your phone via wifi or bluetooth. Text directly from your Galaxy Note.
MySMS (Tablet) Syncs between the mysms app on your phone. Allows for SMS and MMS to be sent from your tablet or desktop, all free.
TabletSMS Same as mySMS, text from the tablet directly, desktop, or phone. Be warned that this is $5/year.

I always had to have it open to receive texts. If I closed it and forgot I would find texts days, weeks, or months later. Nice idea, poor implementation. Needs to work like regular text apps. If I close them I still get notifications.

So many of the products Google puts out like Voice seem very half-assed to me. For instance voice mail transcription in Google Voice is so pathetically bad its funny. I get a voicemail from my mom asking me to get her a salad for lunch and the transcription is something like:
"Hi, mom on mars. Pick up syringes for grunge."

Just purchased this one and it is amazing! Sms's are sent instantly via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi depending on your choice of how you connect your tablet to the phone using the app.
The best thing is, if you use a Bluetooth headset and it is paired with your phone, this app allows you to call and reject phone calls from the tablet. The phone can be left in your pocket as the app also has caller id. The calls are handled by your phone and controlled by this app. Also those who wish to use the new Bluetooth pen for calling can use it too via this app.
Who needs 3g anymore? Not me, that's for sure, I have saved myself £100.

I'll attempt to sideload it from my tablet.

Huh?
I just went to the Play Store on my PC and it basically says the "Tablet Talk" is pretty much compatible with every phone ever made EXCEPT the Epic 4G Touch. WTH? Why not? Tried emailing the developer but their email link is broken.
Not happy.
---------- Post added at 09:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:29 AM ----------
Ok, their customer service emailed me the .apk. I installed it on my phone. Made my phone and tablet discoverable to each other and paired.
Tablet Talk cannot connect to phone bluetooth.
I noticed when setting things up they ask for a password, but at no point in the connection process is the password requested. Makes me think I am missing a step in here somewhere?
I'm using Tablet Talk on my Epic 4g Touch through my Galaxy Note 10.1 & Nexus 7 tablets via WiFi....
I just wish it had the ability to do MMS, the only shortcoming. Other then that its a great program.
Yes I was finally able to connect via wifi. Bluetooth would not work.

That is strange because I was not asked at any point to put in a password. Maybe it is the phone model causing the issue.
The developer has an active forum where you can ask the questions as to why you are having issues, link below:

I'm looking for an application which can serve as the default messaging application, and which communicates via wifi/
The application is needed for my tablet which isn't equipped by a sim.
You can use Join to send SMS by connecting it with your phone.
