YouTube not working! - Nexus One Themes and Apps

Has anyone been having problems playing youtube videos? For some strange reason, I can play one video and any attempt afterwards results in a long loading screen followed by a forced close. When I try to get back into watch a video again, i get an error message that the video can't be played. I'm getting this for all the videos. I've tried running Paul's Desire ROM r22 as well as Enomther's latest ROM and the same problem is persisting. I'm getting this problem when running the YouTube widget but everyting is fine when I go to youtube.com.

thread moved in 4...3....2....

i've already moved the thread, tim. sorry for posting in the wrong area. i've seen other posts in development section for troubleshooting and i just needed help not an audit from another junior member like b1337z0r

Working good for me

This is in the wrong section, however it's probably because you flashed Froyo (including radio) then went back to another rom .... which the video's don't work on the newer Froyo radio.
Downgrade your radio to an older one and you will be fine.

on froyo it's working fine but on the modaco desire rom and the enomther rom, it's shot. i just don't know how it suddenly just decided to quit working. i haven't added anything to the other roms to trigger this so i'm truly befuddled.

thanks satan. i really appreciate your insight.

But he's right...... the radio is causing the problem...not the roms...

Sorry if the answer is simple!

I able to update ROM's OK ( Using Dutty's v4.0 ROM, many thanks for that its great Duddy donation on it's way).
I am using a phone that was originally on the UK Orange network. I thought that once I uploaded the new ROM I would get rid of the horrible "Orange" opening screen, but it's still there. Can someone tell me to change the opening screen please.
Thanks Ed

But.....??? Why search first? If I just ask the question in a new thread, it is much easier on me. It's fast, it's free and best of all, I don't have to do anything to help myself. So, no need to "search and find" as you put it!

Moved out of the News section as this is not real news as such
First of all calm down lol. That title isnt going to make people help you faster
Secondly, you need to put your thread in the right section. I googled your phone and it looks like its a Hermes or a Herald, you will have more luck there.
Thirdly, ive seen that same effect on Polaris devices, and from what ive read, its a hardware fault. You could always try loading a cooked rom on to test to see if its software or not.

Hi,
It's hardware. I've got the same problem in my iPAQ 614c. Sometimes it's OK, and then suddenly it's just like if the chip is underpowered. Some photo pro's told me it had something to do with the chip overexposed to infrared, which means : the built-in IR-filter has given up

Not really the attitude you should have, especially when you are asking for help.

Hi,
What did you do exactly to get to the current state?

[Problem] XDA developers homepage redirection

hey guys,
First congratulation on our new home here on XDA.
when i first came to this website couple of month ago, i had no idea where to find our forum. so i searched for the device on the the upper right corner while selecting forums and instantly redirected me to the i9000 subform.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
That was great, however this wasn't fixed when we have our own section now, it still redirects to the old subform, which will easily confuse any new comers to the website.
One more thing worth mentioning, when i try the same search but using the portal radio button the website redirects to an error page , i hope that can be fixed too
if anyone knows a moderator or someone capable of solving these issues please help to improve our phone
Thanks for your time
I had the same issue raised This is what I meant by It's easier to use that then searching LOL

Sorry I didn't run into that earlier post of yours, so is anyone doing anything about it?
Maybe not now, as the forums migration is still being carried out
It's only a matter of time until it'll be fixed
good to see that the mod has done some work in the forums...its so clean!
This type of issue should be reported directly to a Senior Moderator for resolution. Having seen this thread, and verified the issue, I will pass it along to the admins for fixing.
