I've been playing around with the Android OS for some time now and have managed to accumulate a huge collection of Applications.
I decided to list the lot (750+ apps) on a site for you to view and download for free.
Get them here:
Replace the "z" with a "p" lol.
If you have a desire & want to try these apps out then please comment on what works for the HTC Desire and what doesn't (eg. Certain versions of Swype don't work at all and to fix this i have created another folder called 'Desire' where only proven working apps for the desire will be listed.
Enjoy.

PS: These apps aren't exactly Warez. They are here for educational purposes to find out which ones work for which phone. Purely curiousity.

Weak.
Simple, even for you.
Can't you comprehend that these aren't here for warez purposes? I simply want to see which ones are suitable for the desire but as there are so many i decided to let other people access my apps and test them out on their phones to sort of speed up the process.
Heres some other examples:
DxTop (any version) simply does not work for the desire. It keeps force closing.
CoPilot (any version) again does not work on desire. Says cannot run code (or something similar)
G1 camera flow works perfectly on the Desire.
See what i'm doing now?
There are people out there who are much more qualified to test these apps on the android platform and i'm just giving them the chance to while seeing what works.
Its Simple. If you dont want the paid apps to test then just don't download them. Have the free ones instead.

Whatever your stated intentions (which I understood perfectly the first time, thanks.. I just don't believe you), the fact is you've posted a large collection of paid apps on a publicly accessible site. Anyone can come here and steal those apps now. Not only is this against the market terms of service and the developer's wishes, it's against the forum rules.
Amended main post
There hows that?
Now the actual link is not posted on this site. Its now posted on my site (forum)
That still against terms?

Doesn't matter if you hide it behind a link, you're still posting pirate software which is in breach of the forum rules.
Quite apart from that, you're hosting pirate software and distributing the links on a forum where some of the developers of said software are likely to be active members. I wouldn't be surprised if you receive some threats of legal action.

Yes, it is.
Posting warez or linking to sites containing warez is against forum rules. Please refrain from doing that in the future. Thanks.

Couldn't this service be easily foiled using the hosts file?
I know Windows Mobile relied on online checks for things sometimes, but it was normally a pain for reverses to rip out things and redirect urls to certain places.
Seems like with access to the host file on the android os, you could somewhat easily foil this. Most other productions that random developers have put effort into using seem to have gone down the drain rather fast. Not sure why this "forwarding" protection would seem much different.
Until paid apps are released, with this or not, we won't know how easy/hard it is to foil them. I believe this site has a policy against warez files, so it's not like they'll be posted here if they are cracked/whatever.

I wouldn't be posting any files on this site - just a quick observation thats all.
As for "easy/hard" to foil them, they have already been put to the test. Though all of them are developer made solutions, almost all the applications that are "Trials" or need to be activated have been cracked/keygenned etc and posted somewhere online.
Anyone using SPB Windows Mobile Shell? Need some tips.
I have it installed in the HD2, works beautifully. But have one issue.
The text in the SMS and eMails have become very small (smaller than usual) . Text size have been set to largest in the settings.
Appreciate any tips on how to increase the text size using this Shell.
Thanks
edit:- The version installed is 3.5.1
I need the link to download spb mobile shell please

The link goes to "Let me Google That for you". There is no warez in that link.
@dunnboy9984,
You can get it from the dev's website. If what you are asking for is a warez version of it, that is against the rules and you are breaking them by requesting it. Consider this a friendly warning.
Helps to click on something before making assumtions as to where a link might go.
This wasn't meant to be blown out of proportion! No offense to anyone :0
this is my concern and only concern:
If not you, someone may had interpreted your actions as it is okay to just drop him a link on xda, but rather directly to a hacked cab from a warez site or download engine.
In fact there was links from google to warez site with a little more searching within your link itself. So getting an admin involved was the best for us both! Even thou we may understand the "requester" only asks to help the [OP] in question by installing it first.
The vague link, may direct him to SPB for a 15 day trial or a warez site for a stolen/ cracked version. Will Badge, please just make a direct link to SPB or Devs site next time a request is made. thanks bud! only assumption is to do the right thing. lets just agree to agree and help our fellow members without crossing the fine lines of policies here on xda :0
I didn't cross any policies of XDA. It's up to the person that clicks on the link as to what they want to do. If they choose to actually go to SPB and pay for the program great. If they choose to be a douche nozzle and go to a warez site and try to download a pirated copy that's up to them.
I was more simply showing the person that asked the question that Google had the answer for him as usual. As always GOOGLE for the win........
I have found this great add-on for any android/windows mobile lover out there its just the basic screen lock look as a android phone. Just download the .cab file below to the device memory, soft reset and you enjoy. As far as I know it works for windows mobile 6.5 with any WVGA screen. I'm not sure who to give credit to but you are out there somewhere

xda needs a "no thanks" button lol, but i believe this does not belong here
Um your wrong on that, because this is an android file so therefore it belongs here even though its not development. So next time keep your comments to yourself.
Um, actually you are wrong so the comments from the previous poster are valid. This is an Android "style" lock but by your own admission it is for WM and therefore should actually go under the WM Themes and Apps section where I'm sure it will find a lot more hits. Android roms don't use cab files, but rather apk files for installations.
There's also no need to attack someone merely making a valid observation.
Thread moved to HD2 Themes and Apps with a 24 hour redirect.
Please next time do not post WM apps in the Android Dev forum. Regardless of what the WM app is designed to LOOK LIKE.

Actually, since I am the Author of the App, and the first place I posted it was in the "Other" thread, I would have to say that this is, in fact, the Otherthread.
Though I appreciate that others enjoy my work, and wish to spread the news about it, it is best practice not to duplicate threads. Thank you for getting my work out to more people, but please next time search the site before posting.
For further information on AndroidLock and updates on my progress for future patches, please visit the apps homepage at drakesart.wordpress.com under Windows Mobile 6.5.

This app is a really cool way to organise your apps into folders that have an iphone-esque style, but I cant find it on the market. Does anyone have the apk?
I would post a screenshot, but I'm too new.
Does no one have this?
If THIS -link is the app you're referring to I highly doubt you'll get it on this site seeing as it's a Paid App.
So you're asking for warez. Big no no on XDA Just a heads up if you didn't know
But you would be right, it does seem like it's been pulled off the market. I wonder why
I hadn't heard of this app before, but yes, if you are asking for people to give you a paid app for free, that may be why you hadn't gotten any responses (or it could be the fact that you bumped the topic after only a few hours---might want to give it a little more time first next time).
If you want a free alternative, check out Simi Folders. It has a similar look as the iPhone and is actively developed by one of the forum members (who welcomes more feature requests as well).
Thanks for the replies.
Just to be clear, I didn't know this was a paid app, and just kind of assumed it was free, which I will admit was silly. I don't pirate apps as a rule. I like supporting people who do good work.
Sorry about that.
I'll look into Simi Folders. I already use the clock, and I love it.
Thanks again.
Yup yup, SiMiFolder rocks. Here's a link for those interested.

Asking for warez is FORBIDDEN on Xda-developers.
Infraction Added.
please read the rules next time.
Hi. Of course, the greatest number of application installs is brought by market.android.com, but its structure doesn’t let new applications get into the top. It’s like a circle: the more installs come to market.android.com, the higher the position of the application in the top is and the more installs appear on market.android.com again. And vice versa – if there are few installs, your application is not in the top, therefore no more installs appear.
It turns out that at first you have to make an effort to push your app to the top of market.android.com. But where can you get these first application installs? There are sites with the reviews of android-apps in the network: large and small, free and commercial. As I noticed they give a good start to the applications which get into the top of new applications of market.android.com afterwards. Here is the list of sites that I’ve found:
Mod edit... Links Removed as several are Warez
I apologize for the unsorted list – I still have no idea how to arrange it.
Please share some more sites where you can place your own android-application.
Nice list..some are new to me..most are not, but great compilation..
Thanks.

Wow, thanks! That's what I've been searching for.
True, the Market got it wrong somehow.
Nice. thx!

Thank you for the list. I know this is an old post, but wouldn't it be a good idea to merge all the posts with sites where we can submit our apps to so there would be a long list (maybe stickie)?
I went in and gathered the list of sites that were posted here and on other sources with android sites(in total 96 sites), which should be helpful to contact for those that want to promote their apps. Yes, that's a warez site, a mod should remove that post. Though as a strategy if you have a free app maybe it's a thing to contact the warez sites, they might get some traffic.
