Ok so a while back I installed smspopup via slideme. It was my first time using slideme-I was curious to see what it was. But anyways, I unstalled smspopup out of curiousity. I hated it after a while, so I uninstalled it. But it still works! It is uninstalled too... I have tried searching my phone for it via astro. Can't find any remains. I was usinging cyanogenmod, but it started acting up on me. I switched to SuperD, and I love it. But smspop is not going away! If you know any solutions, please tell me! Thank you soo much in advance

Hi all,
Tried to search for this but couldn't find an answer. Has anyone encountered an issue with a rom if you try to close your sms/mms window, it automatically goes to comm manager and not the today screen? I have ensured I exited out of comm manager, tried to repeat again, and it shows up! Please tell me someone has seen this, if so, please tell me how to resolve.

ya I have the same thing and not just coming out of sms/mms.... it seems to be intermitant... i'd be interested if there is a solution to try..
What ROM are you using. I remember there was a dutty ROM that had an issue with te Comm Manager Popping up if you had a program open, slid out the keyboard and closed it.
However the solution was given in that very thread.
Using Ibi V8: Viper Series. Any chance you would be able to find that thread? I would be most appreciative =)

Decided to make a new thread that we can use to try to troubleshoot this thing.
So far we know that is runs perfectly on Legend Roms due to the OpenSense Plugin. So we need to port that over to the Sprint Rom. (darchstar)
I am 100% in on helping but don't have much skill in this area. So this is a "CALLING ALL DEVS" type of thing, lol.
Attached you will see are the .apks for FriendStream, including the widget. Let me know if there is anything specifically needed so I can upload for easier access for all.

Ok... so tried to do a quick fix type thing, but didn't work. I was copying over files from the legend rom to see if that would work. and no dice....
any insight would be appriciated... cause i'm stumped...
I don't plan on running a sprint rom again anytime soon, so i don't think i'll be working on a fix for this. But if you want, i will gladly help you out in your endeavors. could you please post a full logcat on pastebin.com of you getting the force close when you try to start friendstream on whatever rom youre running, and we can work from there.
Sounds good... now don't want to sound too dumb, but when i run the logcat i'm getting everything. how do i filter just friendstream?
you could probably pipeline and grep,
but no, don't just give me the friendstream bits. I want everything, it makes it easier on me.

Hello, my name is Leilany, I was hoping you would have a moment if possible to help me with a minor problem I created on my EVO.
After I rooted my phone I deleted the Friendstream app and now my phone will not stop syncing. I have tried to install the friendstream.apk using Astro and appinstaller and both say "application not installed". I have saved both the com.htc.friendstreamwidget.apk and the friendstream.apk to the root of my SD as well as under downloads and nothing seems to work. I am not sure how to move forward and it sounded like you maybe understood this issue reading through some of the advice you have given in the forums. I hope to hear from you soon, I would really appreciate the help. Thank you.

Did you try just reflashing the rom? Also might help to go to the EVO thread for help, a lot of differences in our two devices.
Friend Stream
I am using Galaxy S3 (I9300) Indian version & want to use Friend Stream of HTC, Can I use it, if Yes then how?

Hope someone can help me out here. I purchased a GTab a few weeks ago and rooted it using the instuctions from GTab for Dummies, I followed the instuctions exactly including partitioning. I used the Brilliant Corners rom and the tab worked fantastic. It was fast, responsive and all around just running great. I downloaded and installed DroidMail and was setting up my Comcast account, it seems right after that I started getting the following error --- ! SORRY The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. ----- It happens constantly over and over. I tried uninstalling some apps including MailDroid but the problem continues. As I said I followed the instuctions word for word... any ideas on what went wrong? And how I might fix this. Thank you.
Hi dude.
Don't worry. As fas as I know it has to do with screen density. It is highly probable that the ROM that you've installed or some other tweak is set to drive the display at a lower screen density than the default one. I really do not remember where exactly I have read about this but it should be at least 182 ppi in order for acore process to work.

Forgive me if there is another thread about this. I couldn't find it after about an hour of searching the internets. I have an issue with my facebook app on my Xoom. Whenever I try to comment or post or anything that should normally trigger a keyboard, the keyboard doesn't pop up. I poke a way trying to see if there is a sweet spot or something, but no glory. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. Also, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
Here's what I've done: soft reset, purge and reinstall Facebook app.
I'm not sure what else I could do at this point. I looked for a keyboard setting in FB, but of course there wasn't one, at least I didn't see one.

Update, I have recently been able to use the keyboard on most things, but not on commenting on things on my feed.

Pipboy app crash onTf101 w/ katkit 5.1
Hey everyone sorry if i put this in the wrong place. Just looking for a helping hand from all you smarter fellers.
So Fallout4 came out and the" pipboy app" crashed on ICS. So i updated to katkiss. 5.1.1.
Anyway. Still nothing.. app loads to splash then crashes.
Anyone else run into the same problem?
I used to know MORE about how to fix these problems back when i fist bought my tablet but like i said im just now updating again so. Im behind lol.
I remember there being like a version check or something with apps... just cant remember what the issues were in the first place.
ANY HELP or pointers are greatly appreciated. My tablet would be the perfect pipboy for my fallout adventures.
Maybe not enough memory? Idk.

If it helps the PS4 remote play app works just fine now after the update where before it wouldnt even load splash screen
wow... have been searching for hours on google for anyone having similar issue... then i find this...
i also have a tft101 which i formatted a few months ago to install katkiss android 5+ -- LOVE it btw!
except for the resolution glitch with pvz2... and difficulty to make appear the "home/back" button while in fullscreen... its really awesome!
but now i try to start the pipboy app (would be really usefull to check map while playing), but the app crash right after the logo appears...
would really love to find a solution to this! so i'll subscribe to this thread, and if anyone has any suggestion, im willing to try pretty much anything!

I'd really love to see the pipboy app working on my TF101... Also subscribed to see if anyone has any idea how to get it working.
I also tried installing an older version of Android (4.0.3) and the app instead of just crashing it would hang in the PipBoy logo indefinitely.

Yep, same here. My TF101 was running CyanogenMod 10 and Pip-Boy would crash after the logo. Today I just downgraded to CM 9 and now it hangs on the Pip-Boy logo instead. Must be something with the TF101 that the app really doesn't like ....
