I am looking to un-root, and then root to a different rom... just curious what people fav backup program is for saving texts? contacts are backed up, I will remember the programs I want... Going back to the nandroid backup I did right after rooting will still result in me losing all texts since lol...
I don't think you need to unroot and root to get a different ROM installed. and I use HTC portal , but I believe it does not work with 2.0+
I had modaco, then did the fresh update, then tried the gumbo update, and it gave me a ton of fc's

The recovery image has an option to WIPE, which clears all of your user data/installed programs
No, in recovery there is a section to WIPE/ WIPE DATA....I meant that, I always do it , and had not probelms at all

When you wipe, you lose all contacts, mail, texts, everything...

I've never seen so many bad drivers anywhere else lol
so... no suggestions on saving texts? I dont mind the wipe, and will definently do more back ups in the future... lol

Using the program that I use ,, saves everything... HTC phone , I can give u the APK
or you can pull the .db file from the phone then push it back for texts

It's very possible it requires full-blown Sense, too, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

No problem. Sometimes apk's have to be pushed via adb into system/app. Since the X is not rooted it may be a while until thats possible.

Not sure I don't use mine there's an app on the market named "stopwatch" it's free and rated 5 stars give it a try.

It's just a zip. Push it to /data/local/bootanimation.zip or /system/media/bootanimation.zip

Some dev in the market turned the nexus boot animation into a lwp, if you were to email him with a link to this thread, then he/she might be able to do it. It's a free app and in the top free section, but my phone is being tortured with experiments, so I can't check the name right now.

It works fine, and the size settings work, it's just skips slightly at the end, but it still works for it's comedic value.
is there anyway to rate or comment apps in the market on the tablet or no? its really annoying if there isnt. im not rooted so if a rom will let you cool but yeah if this has been asked sorry im new to the tablet sceen.

Yep, and it makes no sense at all.
Title says it all. Unfortunately, deleted mine through titanium Backup.
Want it back, because it's one of the fastest browsers on my phone(plus lighter, and less RAM consuming than others)

Thanks for the reply. but I believe this is the Sony Home, not the browser... I have also deleted the home launcher, but that was also my intention. Lightning Launcher is 3 times faster than the stock Sony one!

My brother is 12. He has a Samsung Gio. That little sh*t! We were in a fight and he thought he was funny...
I flashed the stock .ftf again and I am now at XboosT again. So I don't need the browser anymore. All my music is laying around somewhere on my computer, just have to find it. Only pro is that my phone feels a lot more snappier than before...
