With all of the (most likely false) articles coming out saying cupcake will be released this week (from what ive heard, good luck getting it by march) everyone is asking "Will rooted G1s get OTA updates?
No, you will not (if you have rooted your phone properly (this means you have JF's latest rom)) receive the OTA update. Technically you might receive it, but it will fail to install if you do. This was done on purpose because if it succeeded you would lose root. Shortly after the OTA updates are released, various members of the G1 "hacking" (yeah, term doesnt quite fit, but it will work for now) community will intercept it, tear it apart, remove all the mean mean code that steals our precious root, maybe add some fun new stuff and then release another modified rom in its place.
If you suddenly decide you do not want root anymore (I am guessing you are too lazy to download the update manually) you can use the RC29 downgrade nbh file found on various threads here, or in my wiki (see my signature) to go back to an official RC29 which would then let you receive OTA updates normally.
duhh lol this should be a board annocuments
I've heard some people saying they got the update but I dont see how that is possible. Wasnt google says like a 2 weeks ago that cupcake isnt close to being ready for the public? The only thing I can think of would be and update to support paid apps. I figured if cupcake was launching someone on here would have announced it.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't downgrading to RC29 while still rooted just give you RC29 with test keys still enabled? Wouldn't you also need to reflash your recovery partition as well to the stock one?
the rc29 will flash the recovery also the only thing you would be left with is the boot loader
Frankly, we'll all probably have a modified Cupcake before most G1 consumers actually have Cupcake. Google rolls out the updates really slowly. There's no reason to downgrade.

Good to know, my g1 has a bad wifi module and I need to restore it and send it back. I figured I would experiment with rooting the defective one first in case it went wrong.
Come to think of it, my wifi reception problem could be an antenna problem which could explain my weak 3g reception, or it might just be the 3g network...

bzzzzzt. wrong answer . the RC29 nbh also flashes the bootloader.
MY bad i meant the Engineering SPL wouldnt that still be left?
hmm....so the new cupcake update coming out will close root again? that is so stupid, why wont they just let it be.
granted, like mentioned above, some of our famed and hard working G1 modders will probably have a modded rom with the whole cupcake update on it before everyone would have recieved the OTA anyway.
we'll see what happens i guess, but not for nothing, im really looking forward to the Cupcake updated features and abilities
im almost tempted to just revert back to RC29 just to get the official OTA and see how it is, but then again, whos to say it wont take months for me to get it.
As a note for all those who read my post and thought "yeah, I am lazy, I might as well downgrade and let the OTA's come." you might want to rethink it. If you downgrade, and the new OTA reflashes your system to not accept the RC29 downgrade, you might never get root again. And yes, this is entirely possible.
If you have root, I would not risk it for laziness or eagerness to have the latest OTA because history shows JF has had modified updates in less than 24 hours (I think they were all about 3-5 hours later) after the OTA's were first found.
i wholey agree with that. i definatly dont want to be locked out of root again. although i dont use it as much as others, root is good to have if needed to use it for something.
It would be stupid to downgrade to receive the ota. It took 1 month after the release just to get rc29. Waiting for someone to rip apart and modify the cupcake ota will be much quicker than to wait for the ota update yourself plus root access probably will be lost. Just say no to ota!
Anyways if people are so eager to see cupcake in action visit their local tmobile retailer I bet they will have it as soon as it gets out
Downgrade? Revert? Not an option now that I have root, no way I would chance losing it. Good heads up, I was pretty sure (actually was one of the ? i had) before rooting that this would occur. I spent some time here on XDA and realized that I could trust this forum and the devs to support the rooted community.
Thanks to all who make root possible and what it is on the G1!

my theory on when the next RC will drop.
They have been slow to get out updates, unless there is a exploit found.
When the bug was found everybody got rc 30 in a few days, I think that the new found downgrade route will speedup the next update to stop downgrading, if the tmob wants to keep the handset locked they will push for a speedy update to stop downgrades.
They also eluded that a beta was close but the holidays would alow it down but they did say it would be january, and if they are late people grumble and lose faith, for a phone that's sold on what it can become not what it is out of the box, losing faith means losing sales...

I am pretty sure flashing an NBH will bring you back to the original SPL. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The problem that T-Mobile has now is that in order to stop downgrading, HTC would have to make a new SPL that blacklists the signature of RC29 NBH. Google can patch whatever they want, but I'll be able to downgrade immediately just by putting the NBH file on my sdcard and flash it via SPL
I'm curious as to why everyone assumes that the next update will make moves specifically to remove/block root for those who have it?
My understanding/interpretations of the press relases surrounding RC30 was that it was intended to fix the massive security risk in RC29. Perhaps I've missed something, but I've not seen anything that Google or T-Mobile have done specifically to counteract the "hacker" community, the blocking of the rooting method being "colateral damage" from the security fix. If the superuser method can be used to safely provide root access couldn't this be rolled Android itself? It's over my head but has this question been posed to powers that be at http://source.android.com/?
I plan on rooting my phone in the next couple of days, but I was wondering if the HardSPL that you install during the "How To Root your G1" tutorial will cause any issues if I want to go back to the "official" g1 firmware from Tmobile. From reading about SPL, the stock SPL is from HTC but the HardSPL thats on the tutorial is modified. Would I replace the modified SPL if I want to go back to the official firmware?

Did you post in the wrong thread? That link is about rc33 OTA update. My question is about getting back to official firmware after rooting the phone and whether the HardSPL can stay or revert back to the original.

to go back to original everything just use the original spl in an update.zip and then use the DREAIMG.nbh from when you rooted your phone and you will have stock stuff like it just came out of the box

So if I want to go back I would first install the rc29 then the original SPL, then upgrade to rc33?
Whats the purpose of using the HardSPL vs the original SPL?
no, do the original SPL THEN the .nbh you need to have root to flash an update.zip that is not signed with the proper keys, as for the benefits of hard SPL over the original go here and read

Thanks. Some of the FAQs are not very clear. I'm not sure what you mean by EVERYTHING I've said on the board...
btw, are you hoping I brick my phone? So far I've read 4 different tutorials on how to root your phone. Each one has something different than the other. I'm just trying to get the facts straight before rooting my phone.
look for the thread "app that roots your phone" tell him in a PM that you want to beta test it, when i ran it or him on the last version he needed to fix the telnet script and he is pretty sure he got that working. i would give the link but since it is not my app it is not my place to give out the link.
i do not hope you brick your phone, but i see it as an inevitable thing, i know what i'm doing, i'm no guru but certainly not a n00b and i have managed to "brick" my phone just bout every day because i am always trying new things. the main thing to remember is that as long as when you turn your phone in you get the SPL or recovery then you do not have a true brick. i wish you the best in all your hacking but be forewarned that everything you try has the potential to render the phone unusable for a few hours till you figure out how to fix it. ALWAYS keep the DREAIMG.nbh on your sdcard and an update.zip that contains one of the many JF builds and you will never be too far from fixing your phone.

I understand. Hopefully I wont brick the phone but the nice thing about GSM phones is that I can jut pop my SIM card into my old phone if any issues come up with the G1. I just see people being mean to noobs when at some point in time they were noobs also.
The main reason I want to root the phone is to move the cache to my SD card. The onboard memory on the G1 is a joke. I knew the limitations when I bought the phone in October, but I thought for sure they would have come out with a update that lets you run apps from your SD card. Being a early adopter is fun
if you have less than a class 6 sdcard then moving the cache will have loads of lag, took 3 seconds to delete an email on my class 4. but if you just wanna move apps then you'll be fine

Interesting. I may have to buy a microSDHC card since the microSD card that came with the phone has no rating on it. After reading about SDHC, it seems only SDHC has the 2,4,6 rating.
use the RC29 NBH, it flashes everything including bootloader, then use the official signed RC33 update (40mb) and you will be back to stock rc33

i was a noob before i found xda.. but in the short time i have been here i have learned sooo much.. i love this site and my rooted/themed G1!
Welcome!
ok since there are 5 threads right now on the first page about how to do it and there shouldn't be, this is what you do, i will not link anything to anything because you should be able to find everything pretty easily(they are all stickies)
so all of you that messed something up on your phone and need to get it back into warranty this is how, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
NOTE: if you have flashed a custom splash screen to splash2 then you will need to erase that before step one with this code
plug phone into usb in fastboot mode
Code:
fastboot erase splash2
After that you will have only one splash screen and when you flash the .nbh you will be fine
1. Get the original SPL for your phone, get it here
2. Rename it to update.zip and copy it to your sd card. /sdcard
3. Download the DREAIMG.nbh from here.
4. Place DREAIMG.nbh on the root of your SD card. /sdcard
5. Go into your phones recovery. [Hold the home & power button]
6. Push Alt+S on your G1 to flash it with update.zip
7. After it does its thing, gettig back to your home screen.
4. Start phone in bootloader. [Hold camera+power button]
5. Hit power to start the update DO NOT INTERRUPT!! i can not stress this enough.
6. Click on the action button(track ball) and your phone will reboot.
7. YOU NOW HAVE STOCK FIRMWARE, it will update on it's own in a little bit, or *Settings>About phone>System Updates*
MODS PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU TO STICKY THIS POST OR AT LEAST THIS ONE:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=485364
so that people can stop posting: how can i unroot my phone or can i revert back to stock firmware like theres not 10 different posts about it.
Mods sticky
Hey man you got my vote it was drivin me insane tryin to find this and thank you!!! Also, just to amke sure that it worked, what is it supposed to say on "About Phone". Thank you man
Just wanted to add one point - I followed this guide, but there's one bit that might not be obvious.
DREAIMG.nbh will restore your phone *mostly* to stock. There's one thing it won't change - the second splash image. If you've changed your splash images, you might want to restore them to stock separately before following these instructions.
Wouldn't be an issue for most users, but in my case the keyboard bit the dust and I had to do a return, and once I set it back to stock I couldn't re-root (and was left returning the phone with a custom second splash image).
i followed all of these steps and as it was applying the dreamimg rc29 for me it said failure... what do i try now? it seems that now my phone will only boot to the multi-colored screen and everytime i try to apply the update it fails about 3/4th of the way through... my phone doesnt work... any thoughts on how to fix this?
found the problem, sorry for my ignorance i didnt format the card completely so there were other files in the root and all i did was reformat and just copy the nbh file back over and it worked just fine sorry guys
one question...do i have to find the stock rc30 and rc33 to update also?? aren's there somethings required to update to cupcake? (like radio??)

you don't need to find the RC30 or RC33 files because when you have the stock RC29 your phone will update on it's own after a few hours. the only thing needed to upgrade to cupcake is the cupcake image. the radio is a choice and you ocan choose not to flash it. i still use the original radio that came on the phone with RC30 simply because i have been too lazy to get the latest radios
bump. good info

I rooted my fone for the first time today and played around. In the end I decided to unroot, because I need steeel and chompsms too much.
I went back to RC7 (my phone was previously RC9 before I rooted). How long should I expect to wait before my G1 auto-updates?
Thanks!
this should be a sticky... thanx
the greatest thing about the thread? well since making it i have only seen two people post that they need to unroot their phone and don'w know how. woo hoo
how long does it usually take to upgrade on its own? its been over 2 hours now and nothing..
its been over 24 hours since ii brought mine back to "stock" and i still havent received the update, what the f is going on? is this normal? sorry but im a newb.
same here I am back to the orignal RC29 but have not received any OTA like RC33???
to all of you that haven't recieved an update yet, there is an option in settings that will allow you to check for updates. or download anycut and create a shortcut. if you do not know how to follow the instructions in this thread you probably shouldn't have rooted your phone. i have reciueved many PM's about how to do this and as much as i am willing to help you, i expect you to have SOME common sense, if you do not i will not help
sorry man, didn't mean to piss you off, i stated im a newbie, i have the firm belief that nobody learns unless they try it themselves, albeit some help from others never hurts, + the version checker is on rc33, not rc29, hence i cannot take that route, if not i already would have. i guess ill simply continue to wait, phone works fine, just does not load any apps that have to be paid for on marketplace, i work for t-mobile, so im hoping that they may have stopped ota's of rc33 since we are launching 1.5 soon. quick question for those who know, is the build number supposed to be TC4-RC29 115247? this is the one i have. Thanks man!
+ I followed your instructions to a t. and have the classic "rainbow" android boot screen.
What happend to the sticky?? I culd have sworn this was stick yesterday.. PS thanks for this thread as i had to unroot my first g1 now i might have to do my second one .. argg..
Alternate way to revert to stock firmware without waiting for update
Hello,
This is my first post. I have been using an alternate way that I figured out to return to stock. This also works when you try to install an official update and it rejects the package due to invalid keys or device checks. You MUST already have root on your phone for this to work.
1) download official firmware image (whatever version you want)
2) extract recovery image from package to root of SD card
3) rename downloaded package to update.zip and place in root of SD card
3) reflash recovery image from terminal on rooted g1
mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
cd sdcard flash_image recovery recovery.img
cat recovery.img > /system/recovery.img
4) Restart phone in recovery mode and proceed with update
5)Profit! Well, stock g1 without having to flash to RC29 and wait for an update.
I feel this is a more straightfoward way to flash back to stock. YMMV.
Universal Androot confirmed working. This method is no longer needed and is to dangourous for some people so please use universal androot 1.5.3+
IF READ CORRECTLY YOU WILL NOT BRICK. BUT, Since a few of you dont have that ability, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU BRICKING YOUR PHONE. There are no pros to rooting this phone yet, leave it alone if you dont know what your doing PLEASE. I beg you. You are in essence almost bricking your phone in order to root it in the first place. These arent fun and games, It is dangerous to rush this stuff
Listen.. Im more then happy to help people. BUt I fully understand why so many devs have left this place. Some of you are so utterly ridiculous with your questions, wanting someone to hold your hand. I cant sit on gtalk for hours helping you go through what should take 10 min , I have a life and kids and other things to do. I did this because I was bored and wanted to see if I could. There is not point in rooting it yet, there are no roms, nor will there be for at least a month. Please, if you cant even understand simple questions, have never rooted or even used an android phone before, please.. do not bother me. This place is insane with stupidity. I will change the tutorial in a little more detail later, but fo rnow, DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YORU DOING. IF YOUR BREAK YOUR CRAP< I DONT CARE, BECAUSE IT WASNT MY FAULT.
I am in no way an angry or mean person, but you people have given me a migraine. I see why all the rom devs hide from here so much

After 3 days, sleepless night and 5 min from returning the phone, Together with the Awesome Cursordroid We have achieved full root of the fender mytouch/ Mytouch 1.2 revision.
Now.. Understand.. not many will have the fender Mytouch.. but this is the hardware they WILL be using in the fully confirmed Mytouch 1.2
If you do not follow my instructions fully, NOTHING WILL WORK.
Start by making a working gold card, pay VERY CLOSE attention to what the instructions for making a gold card say
http://theunlockr.com/2009/08/14/how-to-root-your-mytouch-3g/
READ READ READ. DO NOT download the SAPPimg.zip file it says on that page.
Get the top fixed SPL file 2010 from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4332591&postcount=1
Once you have you working goldcard (remember, apply to PHYSICAL not LOGICAL) rename the fixed SPL/rom you just downloaded to SAPPIMG.img
Put that file on your gold card
Hold volume down while hitting power
You will boot into Hboot, and if goldcard was made correcly and file is in root, it will begin to read. MAke sure battery is full or chargeing. follow on screen directions for flashing. Reboot into Hboot.
You are now screwed with a downgraded SPL and radio that do not work on this phone YAAAAAAY.
Now grab the stock radio and SPL from Cursordroid here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5451898&posted=1#post5451898
From there on follow hiw directions for reupdating your radio and spl, plus give yourself a new recovery making ROOT.
Im not good at tutorials or typing on a tiny netbook keyboard so please forgive. Anyquestions please ask and I will go into more detail
In order
Goldcard
Amen ras fixed spl rom renamed SAPPIMG.img
Boot into Hboot volume down/power
let rom install saying yes to what it says. If it works..
Now boot into your recovery through fastboot
Flash phone with stock fender rom
reboot into fastboot
back out of update when it asks and flash STOCK radio and SPL back, now reboot
your splash screen for fender IS GONE, get over it. You can make a new one later if you realllly need to.
if you build the thread they will come, oh yes, they will come.

lol.. I figured if I could get a thread up with all our info, maybe I could get more people interested just for the fact hat nothing now works... which means this could be the same build in the coming Mytouch 1.2 that is basicly the same exact phone as the fender.
hey, im new here but i have a rooted g1. and i've been skimming thru the fender pages.
I also work at tmobile and used my discount to snag the fender. but as of now im still using my rooted g1 which currently has a tiny scratch on it which i cant stand "hence why i got a fender".
seems to me once the new mytouches come out with the 32a and 3.5 mm jack there will be more attempting to pwn his phone.
im still fairly new to all of this soo im tryin to soak up as much knowledge as i can.
but still w/o the root. the fender still is a sweet phone haha.
idk what to do with it, it just sits in my room i havent even put my sim into it yet. im deciding either to sell it or just let it sit until it can be rooted.
i use the wireless tether too much to switch to the mytouch.
in the mean time g'luck! kinda rough for us LE owners cuz only few people have it to play around with.
This might be noob as I am not 100% sure what perfected SPL means, but I had a SPL that gave the fastboot "no remote" error.
I used an official SEA RUU that comes with a ENG SPL, then I could update change what ever I wanted.
Thought I would just through it out there.
My phone is a model A6161.
Make a goldcard.
Then try to find an official HTC RUU with version higher than 2.08.531.1 but which has an open SPL or is only Cupcake so 1-click-root will work.
If that doesn't work just try a regular sappimg.nbh, but with goldcard too.

The problem is after days of reading and trying 5 different sapp.img every file gets the same device id failure. But I do understand having to find a higher number rom so Ill start on that quest.
So basicly what you saying is I need to find a pre rooted "offcial" rom that has and eng SPL allready or a 1.5 rom with open spl?
Ill try the 1.5 cupcake idea because the goldcard methos so far doesnt seem to work but that would make sense if we are trying to use to old a versions to root.
Looks like I have a new project for the day lol

Wrong model id or device id means, that HTC decided pick out Fender in another serie. Yes, i agree, that Fender has same SPL as Magics, but trying flash anything, that has another model id like trying flash Hero's ROM to Tattoo.
SPL ia like a computer's BIOS. SO if you flash foreign bios - your comp will probably die....
Saddened by the fact that Fender is limited edition. So it will not have big knowledgebase like Magic.

While the Fender is le, the mt3g 1.2 is the same hardware, so hopefully someone will get it figured out.

Oh. Chances growing up.
I'm new here, but typically how do people go about getting the attention of devs? Is it just create a thread an hope enough people show interest? Should we do a roll call of how many actually are interested in rooting this phone?

I've already tried that, didnt work for me, got "Invalid device ID" however, I cannot make a gold-card because I always get "damaged sd card" or windows says I need to format it right. I'm 100% sure I did it right to three different SD cards, and I still got the same error.
--edit-- if you successfully make a goldcard for this phone, Ill pm you for shipping info LOL!

No.. I got the gold card made. The only reason it ever comes up as damged or reformat is because you applied the goldimg to the logical drive which is at top of list as opposed to Physical REMOVABLE DISK at the bottm. Its the only time I can get the error. but if I apply the goldimg to the logical drive it makes a perfect goldcard everytime. I tested it on aspar g1. So... its not a godl card problem lol

Make a goldcard.
Then try to find an official HTC RUU with version higher than 2.08.531.1 but which has an open SPL or is only Cupcake so 1-click-root will work.
If that doesn't work just try a regular sappimg.nbh, but with goldcard too.

Looking through here for HTC RUU roms I seem to keep geeting dragged to the hero and WinMob forums which I dont think I should be. Where exactly would I find this?
My ideas are..
Find a rom of higher version that is rooted see if it works.
Find an older 1.5 build (which is proving hard) and go from there
Try and flash the rooted fender donut over it and see the results.
My main problem with this is, I dont think its able to be downgraded past 1.6.. Just like newer PSP's cant be downgraded to 1.5
After formatiing my 2gb sandisk (which may be the problem) now when using the 98mb SAPPIMG.zip I get "Main version is older" instead of "Device id failed"
Is this a good sign to on the right track? Im going to try the 62mb SappIMG.zip from amon ra's tut as soon as its done downloading and see if theres a difference.
Now.. what does main version is older mean? The firmware or the spl/radio. if so... is there a newer version i can use/or substitute a file for the Sappimg.nbh to just install a higher version rom.
Man.. The G1 is so much easier to do all this with lol
YEEEEES. Ok. I freaking fracking diddley did it. OMG i was sooo scared.
Wooo So happy now.
I unable to update my OP and thread title if a mod can help me with that.
If noone minds I am going to post my first ever tutorial on something. this was a real pain but I am up and running on Amon ras latest rom for now. On to the recovery....
EDIT-- Got a fully functioning Manups 2.1 1.5 going. THEBLUECOAT if you want to know how to do it PM me... Otherwise give me about an hour or so and I will have a full tut posted
AHHH.. EVEN worse.. I noticed now that it says I have a 32b board NOOOO
EDIT2- Such a dumbass I didnt make a backup of the orignal. Poop.. I liked the boot image and music apps. I just wish I could figure out why all roms so far dont recognize the touch screen as being there and want me to use the track ball. Even power button has 1 option Power off lol
UMMM touch screen not working. What didnt I do?
How do I get my SDCARD to not show up under logical, its under logical but the drive says "removable disk" all I have are phones to use, would this not be possible or would I need a driver replacement

you HAVE to use a card reader. thats where your problem has been. You have to use a card reader so that it sees the reader AND the card seperatly. So in hex, you dont see Logical drive then a row and then Physical and a row?
Im not pissed... I had the 2010 eng spl... trying to flash roms. No rom would use touch screen. so started over and ened up with a 32 b board now and a perfected spl again.... lol Argh... trying through it again now.

I used Amen ras newest Fixed spl fix 1.33.2010, made my gold card, renamed that file to SAPPIMG.zip, went into Hboot and it flashed without a problem.
I then rebooted into Hboot seeing the new Info.. Didnt look at the 32a/32b part yet so not sure if it happened there.
It then rebooted into whatever rom that file came with (look for Amen ras Fixed spl thread) the rom came up, with no tocu screen. only the track ball worked.
I rebooted and stupidly jumped right into flashing a couple of the new clair builds from king and.. the othe rguy lol. neither had touch support. I then went back to update to manups newest and used the 32a port file, and no touch screen...
I then rebooted and flashed the amen ra rom and rebooted into a Mytouch boot loop... went into Hboot and had a perfected spl and S-on. ARGH.
Just started from scratch again. Im really wondering why i loose touch screen support and why in the hell it say 32b now
I flashed the 2.1 RUU that was floating around a couple weeks ago. Well now, I can not get any PC to recognize my Hero. I cant mount or use ADB and I'm stuck with this BS 2.1 RUU..Can anyone help PLEASE!!
I thought all the threads that had the 2.1 RUU said that we couldn't get root on it yet, and that it was really posted for devs only.
Your best bet right now is to find some way to conveniently "break" your phone and get a replacement.

I could be wrong, but I think that was for development only not ready for a phone.

No, your right - some people have had a hard time reading all of the threds about what that does to you phone. Research pays dividens in the long run.
Key thing to remember: Don't flash a rom unless it has a funny name.
gbhil tweeted this a few weeks back as a way to restore after using the leaked 2.1 RUU... I think it'll help you out:
http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc...pair-your-bootloader-after-using-2-1-ruu.html
Key advice (as mentioned above): ALWAYS read the warnings before flashing something.
i would never RUU my hero after all of the issues that have been reported. best bet is to make a backup of your stock hero rom before flashing any custom one.

And don't use an RUU with the word "test" in it.

I too ran the RUU running around but was able to root my phone using the info in the links that "Is_907" and "Kcarpenter" provided. Now I'm running DamageControl v2.07.2 ROM on my Sprint HTC Hero.
Hope it helps you as much as it helped me.

I used that method about a week ago, work great in about 5 mins I was back to full root and flashing 2.1 roms again!
Using only an SD card this method will restore your old boot loader >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=657086
I ran the ruu for the new PRI version, but I was able to root it the same ol' way and have installed 10 different ROMs in the last two weeks.
Just recently I wanted to revert my PRI and boot loader to single out a problem I was having and used the above method. I was able to return my phone to complete stock without running any ruu as described in the link above.
Glad that link helped some people out...
Basically, if gbhil posts something, I trust it.
thanks a lot..to those who actually helped, I'm trying this out now..Ive flashed RUUs before and test ROMs for over a half a decade..
someone one this forum said the RUU came pre-rooted..
I'm no noob, check my join date before: before kcarpenters..lol no offense
